1) No Bad Memories: you guys this is an absolute masterpiece of electronic and dance music. Absolutely infectious, lush, detailed, and with a stacked cast that really delivers. Damn near perfect.

2) Since I Left You: also damn near perfect and an absolute marvel of sampling. A very one of a kind album that’s very fun to turn on and get lost in. Not much needs to be said about this other than that NBM just feels a little more my style.

3) Wildflower: underrated album. It really delivers a similar experience to SILY so much later into their career. Seems like no one talks about it as much as the rest but I like pretty much everything on it.

4) We Will Always Love You: everyone loves this one so much. I like a lot about it, especially how uniquely introspective and melancholy it can be at times. It stands apart from the rest of the albums in a cool way, but unfortunately I think a lot of the guest features detract from the songs a bit. Lots of those songs I think would be better as instrumentals or with different approaches on vocals.

Not here to fight, just wanna hear everyone’s opinions cuz I’m so jazzed on the Avalanches rn!!!

First off, new album is great, no complaints. The real issue is I’m upset about the fulfillment of pre-orders. I’m in the US and pre-ordered the signed multi-color vinyl and CD as soon as they were announced. Everything from the pre-order said it would ship on October 16th, but I received no updates that day. I got a tracking number on Saturday but it said UPS is waiting to pick up my order. It’s Monday, there are have been no further updates yet, and this makes me wonder why I ever pre-order anything. Why pre-order something, pay for expedited shipping, and then wait longer than someone ordering from Amazon or a physical retailer? Am I the only one upset by this?

Thanks for letting me rant, but if you are having similar issues, please let me know. What’s the point of advertising expedited shipping on release day if it doesn’t happen? And why advertise shipments go out on release day instead of a few days earlier?

I've listened to the album a fair few times now (double figures) and what I'm finding is that different songs are getting stuck in my head - curious to know if you have the same, or if not, comment which ones are ringing in your brain!

Does anyone have any information regarding the movie mentioned in this article like when/where it will be available to see? I saw one comment under a recent post in this sub saying it's expected to be released sometime next year but I'd love to know if anyone somehow knows any more details. Cheers 🫶

Not sure if conscious, unconscious, subconscious or a mix, but can't help but think of The Phantom's Revenge's Commercial Breaks series after multiple listens to No Bad Memories. More on the French House side but the inclusion of little ad samples here and there to create a collage of music and mixed media... they are related.

Like many of you, i’m blown away by No Bad Memories

Being a huge fan of the boys, I immediately pre-ordered the limited edition/tri-color vinyl pressing of the album. It just got here today, and the track list contains 28 tracks (instead of 31); the track order is slightly different, and “Old World” is replaced by a song titled “Evergreen Altar”. “Total Recall” and “Final Credits” are removed altogether

I don’t have an issue with this, and i’m excited to hear the physical-only track! But what do you guys think of the alternate track order/selections?

It just starts to get going and then abruptly finishes. Much like most the songs on the album. They’re not bad, just….short.

i’m obsessed with ‘Evergreen Altar’ and not ashamed to admit it.

i may or may not have spent the better part of 30 minutes this morning making a .WAV of it to have for easy access on the go cuz i couldn’t get enough and it’s been in my head non stop needing more and more listens.

this and ‘Can’t Get Over Losing You’ got me thinking and are now on my ‘Mount Rushmore’ but since I have fallen in love with something from every album, i couldn’t narrow it down to just 4 anymore
