Web Development I built a free multiplayer party-games web app (phones as controllers) as a solo dev. Here is what was hard, and I would like feedback
I'm a solo Nepali dev and I've been building Jhamela, a free party-games web app: https://jhamela-party.vercel.app (disclosure: it's my own project).
The idea: one screen (laptop/TV) hosts, and everyone joins from their phone browser with a 4-letter room code. No app install, no accounts. It currently has 18 games (Ludo, Carrom, Falas, Last Card, Marble Race, Imposter Room, Bluffopedia and others), and it can be installed as a PWA.
What was hard: - Real-time sync. Keeping every phone and the big screen in agreement on game state, especially when someone's phone sleeps or the connection drops and they rejoin mid-round. - Phones as controllers. Different screen sizes, touch input for things like Carrom flicking and aiming, and keeping latency tolerable on average mobile data or home wifi. - Many games, one shell. Giving each game rules, a lobby and player counts without rewriting the plumbing every time. - Testing multiplayer alone. You need many devices to find the bugs, and I don't have eight phones.
It's still early and rough in places. I'd really appreciate feedback on: - Does it work on your phone/browser? Where did it break or lag? - Anything you'd do differently in the architecture for this kind of real-time app? - Which games are fun and which feel half-baked?
Happy to go into the technical details in the comments if people are interested.

Resource Sharing Built an open-source diagram tool from Nepal (supports Nepali UI) – looking for feedback from fellow devs
Namaste everyone,
I've been building an open-source project called Yantra and wanted to share it here first and get honest feedback from the local dev community.
What it does: you write a short JSON file describing boxes, arrows and "steps", and Yantra turns it into an interactive diagram in a single HTML file. You don't place anything by hand; the layout and arrows are automatic. The reader can click through it step by step, so a system or process is explained in order instead of all at once. The file works fully offline, so you can share it on email, Viber or a pen drive.
It handles architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, flowcharts, ER diagrams, org charts and mind maps. It can also import from Mermaid, draw.io and PlantUML.
Why it might be useful here:
- The viewer interface is available in Nepali, and there's a Nepali example diagram in the repo (a health referral flow).
- It's useful for project reports, college assignments, client handovers and documenting your system for a team.
- It works with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. Ask the AI for the JSON, paste it into the playground, and you get the diagram.
- It's free and MIT licensed: no account and no tracking.
GitHub: https://github.com/niyankhadka/yantra
What I'd love help with:
- Is the Nepali translation natural, or does it sound machine-translated? Corrections are very welcome.
- What diagrams do you make often at work or in college that this should support?
- Any bugs or confusing parts in the docs.
If you find it useful, a GitHub star helps a lot with visibility. Happy to answer any questions in the comments. Dhanyabad!

Internet/ISP Cheapest internet NTC switched from worldlink day 1 REVIEW
This is follow-up to my previous post. About Cheapest internet offer from NTC.
Exactly 4998 rs for whole year of package. Connected cable and router within couple minutes. Easy and very friendly chill support maintanence staff.
For context:
switched from worldlink 50 Mbps INCREASED the charge by couple thousands. Of rupees. Big deal for penny pincher like me.
FUP is 30 GB FOR 30 Mbps
Resets midnight.
as expected. I repeat
NOT FOR EVERYONE. For me, Only 2 mostly live home. Don't do 4k hd streaming or big files downloads rarely.
+ Bonus: office is very near and customer service and staff are friendly.
I have tracked my DATA internet usage for 2 months for my conclusion to switch from world link.
More band which is easily waste of money for me.
Internet expiry was an October 20. I think we made right choice for now.
Saved pocket money for myself.
Do consider. Guys if you don't need to break the bank for internet bandwidth.

Looking to Buy Chair Selection
I am planning to buy all mesh ergonomic chair, and i need your opinion if you have got it. My main problem with my chair which is the mesh on the back side but the cushion on the seat is that my bum gets sore and the thigh also hurts due to the edges of the cushions pressing on it.
Will these chairs solve my problem?
Do share your thoughts if you own these and which to choose between them.

Miscellaneous Regrets
Have you ever made a decision that you thought was right at the time, only to spend years regretting it?
I lost someone who genuinely loved me because I was uncertain about what I wanted. I focused on small mistakes that didn't even matter and used them as reasons to walk away from a relationship that meant so much to both of us.
Even after the breakup, she tried to stay in touch, but I pushed her away. When I eventually realized what I had lost, I reached out, and she gave me another chance. But I became uncertain again and repeated the same mistake. It happened more than once, until she finally stopped trying.
Now, she says she doesn't love me anymore, and I understand why. She gave me chances I didn't know how to value, and I can't blame her for eventually choosing herself.
The hardest part is that I'm finally certain about what I want, but that certainty came too late. I haven't been able to move on, and I still think about everything I could have done differently.
It's been years, but the regret hasn't gone away. I've been experiencing what feel like anxiety attacks around three times a week, and sometimes the thoughts become so overwhelming that I don't know what to do with myself.
I keep asking myself why I couldn't appreciate what I had when it was right in front of me. Why did I need to lose it to understand its value? And how do I stop living in a past that I can never change?
I know I made mistakes. I'm not looking for sympathy or trying to justify my actions. I just want to learn how to live with the consequences of my own decisions without letting them consume me.
For those who have struggled with deep regret, especially over losing someone you loved because of your own mistakes, how did you move forward?
How do you stop replaying the past, forgive yourself, and find peace when a part of you still wishes you could go back and do everything differently?
And if regret has ever affected your mental health to the point of experiencing anxiety attacks several times a week, what helped you cope?
I genuinely want to move forward. I just don't know how to let go of something that I wish I had never let go of in the first place.

Web Development sajha got redesigned.
The cool thing about sajha is that if you share your youtube videos/blogs with adsense there, it will actually get good RPM because most of the folks are from USA.
However I do not really recommend it because they are ass()

Discussion IT company registration process in Nepal | Full roadmap | Costs, etc ...
Hello all, I am thinking of starting a very lean IT outsourcing company from Nepal as a solo founder, potentially most foreign clients. Can someone of experience in similar field or legal advisor guide me towards setting up the company, registration, banking , costs breakdown, yearly maintaining costs and other stuff i might be missing to ask. I need a full roadmap.
It would be great to know from someone who is already in the business of doing so while being registered in Nepal or forming a C- Corp / LLC in Delaware ( clarity on foreign equity owning as Nepalese as well, legality) .
Don't spam if you don't clearly have first hand experience. Thanking in advance. Happy Dashain.
