Two years ago, we received roughly 2 posts marketing a software synth, VST, librarian software or otherwise per week.

In summer 2026, this was up to approximately 4 per day.

Today, we had a staggering 16 posts submitted on the topic of marketing software for synthesizers. It was substantial enough that I felt I should share the numbers with you.

Of those 16:

- 4 followed the rules and went straight to the megathread
- 4 asked permission first, 2 of which then posted to the megathread
- 8 posted to the subreddit without permission
- 3 of which were removed by automod for not having enough karma.

In addition, 4 firmware posts were made, 2 more submitted but did not meet the minimum karma requirement to post.

Listening to the community, we do not have plans to funnel posts regarding firmware hacks to the megathread at this time. Software promotion will be continually funneled to the megathread.

If you wish to receive updates on new software, you can subscribe to the megathread. There’s some genuinely good stuff in there, but there’s a lot to go through.

Last track using the symetrix 501 on my bass lines its kinda ass 🙈 i didnt really love the compression style and you get a high pitched whine if you crank the limiter. Idk not for me

Ive been lurking on guitar center for a cheap dbx160a and I found one 😭😭 gonna be adding that to the rack to replace the symetrix

Might also be dropping the sde-1000 from the rack, its kinda antiquated to have effects in the rack since im working with a daw. But idk its got a really nice sound and very convenient. Its also fuckin huge tho.

Anyways, been sitting on this track for a week just released the vid for it yesterday, lmk what you think! Finding my way around the microwave xt a lot better now, wavetable synthesis is crazy.

(He wasn't really playing, just randomly twisting knobs and playing keys, but I'm really proud of him)

Was playing around with the Korg SDK creating a Juno replica chorus based off the architecture schematics available and using real juno recordings from a studio visit to calculate the rate and depth of the chorus.

The chorus has 3 modes selectable with the time knob including:
- CHORUS I
- CHORUS II
- CHORUS I + II

The depth controls the chorus amount

The effect also has a subtle noise floor similar to the imperfections of the juno and additionally has a touch of saturation to give it a bit of warmth and crunch to the chorus effect

How accurate do you feel it is?

I'm about to buy some midi keyboard now, the choice is between everyone loved akai mpk mini 3, arturia and native instruments m32. A typical options, the last one looks just soooo good to me BUT it's a bit huge and won't fit in my backpack anyway + I don't know how the keyboard feels are keys here closer to arturia or akai? So guys is m32 worth it or should I go with akai(probably)?

Just picked up a boom and camera and learning to record sessions for idea capture. This was just a low effort improv ambient session. Everything was thrown together for this session except the Korg SP choir patch and I just do this for fun. Go easy on me. Thanks for looking.

I am by no means anything more then a strange tinker-er with music/things... ordered this last month before all the firmware exploded onto the internet. So far, it's fun, small and portable too.

Well, I'm planning to replace the screen on my Yamaha DX7II-FD with a new OLED; My question is whether the Winstar WEH004002 works as well as the Orplex DMC40267 that came with it from the factory.

For those who have played both or have a good understanding of both synths, how do they compare? I have a Super 6 but I've considered trading it out for a DMNO. I like the Super 6 but the layout, screen, and experimental nature of the DMNO are pretty appealing. Curious to hear what others think.

I want to get into dawless hardcore, and I’m looking for the best Mackie mixer for this kindof setupnowadays. I’m into that gritty sound of older 8-bit and 16-bit bit depth, so I’mwondering if older Mackiemixers are a good choice or if newer ones can do the job just aswell. Is there still a reason to go for a vintageMackie, or are the newer models just asgood?
