Homebrew Testing intreast in a campagin
I have been gripped by an idea and I would like to see who may be interested in trying it
I wish to represent a very specific setting which I have been mulling over for some time. The old west in space, a 18/19th century time period with Treasure Plant style space travel. If you've watched Firefly and wished that it had a wizard, then I have excellent news.
Asternonauts with muskets, revolvers and woolen overcoats taking sail boats into the sky. Sword cowboys and gun knights. Inspired by the real world era where samurai, pirates, Victorian nonsense and the wild west were all existing at once. And Ive asked the very important question of what if that was starwars?
More in the western genre than anything else but there is a also quite a bit else. Ive been told that cowboys on a boat is just pirates with extra steps. I disagree
And so have begun to construct my Adam, the unholy merging of two great constructions. Dnd 5.5 and Starwars 5th edition. And of course, good old dnd 5e because they changed some things....they.changed.some.things...
With all that being said I like telling grounded and tragic stories. Im pretty bad at improv without at least an outline. I like the players story to be a part of the plot, but for me there dose need to be a plot happening. Im the type of gm who might ask you about your character's parents.
This would be a roleplay heavy table but the things your role-playing are very often dangerous and violent situations. We'll roll initiative every other session but its gonna take up most of the session. But I dont like to just turn the narrative off in combat.
So uh
That seem good?
