Looking for some guidance. Coming from console, want to get a pc to be able to play with my brothers. I would play games like r6, WARDOGS, maybe cod/battlefied/escape from tarkov. Can anyone help me if this pc is good enough. Would like to have the highest fps possible for r6 and things like that without having to use low settings. Idk much so any guidance and info would be much appreciated. This is from Newegg

[discussion] Looking for a good/decent prebuilt PC

I’m looking for a decent to really good prebuilt gaming PC with a budget of around $1,200–$1,500. I don’t know much about PCs, so I’m looking for advice on what would be best for me. I want something that can run games smoothly with good graphics and high FPS, including Marvel Rivals, Fortnite, Minecraft with mods, Terraria, and story-driven games. I want a PC that can handle these games without lagging, look great visually, and hopefully last me a good few years before I need to upgrade. Since I’m a beginner and don’t know anything about building PCs, I’m specifically looking for a prebuilt gaming PC that offers the best performance for my budget and is ready to use right out of the box.

[suggestion] help choosing my first (Very Very Budget) second hand pc for casual gaming?

hi everyone! i have recently been having quite a bit of trouble with researching to try to find out what desktop pc would work well for my interests that isn't extremely expensive. i don't know anything at all about Building pcs, so i'm hoping to buy one that i won't really have to mess around with- i'm not super good with the inner workings of it all, and it all seems very intimidating and overwhelming to me. i am mostly wanting to play indie games, particularly interested in rpgs & metroidbrainia type games. i'm very much working class without a thousand dollars to spare and i know that buying anything new is probably very much Not Going To Happen for me; i'm wondering if anyone could help me find something used/secondhand that would work well & last me a couple years for under 300 usd? mostly just looking for the pc itself; i am sure i can find a monitor, keyboard, and mouse elsewhere for pretty cheap. thank you in advance

Upgrading Prebuilt Help [suggestion]

I bought my PC back in December 2021 and have been thinking of upgrading but I have no idea how to do it myself and with part costs it seems more expensive than just buying a new tower.

My current prebuilt specs are:

CPU: Intel i5-10400 2.9GHz

RAM: 16GB DDR4 (oloy brand)

GPU: GeForce RTX 2060 6GB

Motherboard: Gigabyte B460M DS3H AC V2-Y1

Manufacturer: Gigabyte

The games I play are: Witchfire, League of Legends, Rocket League, and Minecraft. However: I have thought about playing Destiny 2 and other bigger games but haven’t at this point mostly wanting the option for future choice.

I would like to spend around $2k or less but that’s not a super hard ceiling. I might also buy a Starforged Apothecary Diaries case and move it to that but still deciding on that.

If I need to provide more information or details please ask and I’ll do my best to provide them.

New prebuilt PC: monitor loses signal AND keyboard/mouse disconnect at the same time, getting worse. PSU? [itg]

Hi, I bought a brand new prebuilt PC (Vibox IV-590) and since day one the monitor goes "No signal" then black, while the PC and fans stay on. It's getting worse: at first it held ~40 min, now it cuts about every 2 seconds.

Key symptom: my keyboard AND mouse disconnect at the exact same time as the screen. Each time it comes back, I land on the Windows login screen and have to type my password again.

Specs:

- Ryzen 7 5700X, RTX 5060 Ti 8GB (PNY), 16GB DDR4, 1TB SSD

- Motherboard: Biostar A520MHP 2.0

- PSU: generic "ZPSU-600W" (no 80 PLUS certification visible)

- Windows 11, CRUA 24" monitor

Already tried, no fix:

- Several HDMI + DisplayPort cables, all GPU outputs, 2 monitors + 2 TVs

- Different refresh rates (60 to 180Hz)

- Re-seated the GPU and its power cable

- Nvidia driver clean install, BIOS reset to defaults

- Keyboard/mouse on normal USB ports instead of USB 3.0

- GPU power limited to 88%

- CPU temp is ~37°C, so no overheating

I think the generic PSU is faulty, since everything drops at once. Could it also be the motherboard? Any test I can do before sending it back under warranty?

Thanks!
