Is it worth trying to repair 6900XT with possible VRam Error (Found for $90)
This ISN'T asking for advice if I should buy the card, I like collecting computer parts and just feel tempted to buy the card even if it doesn't fully work.
The card listed is for parts or repair, but is confirmed to not only boot and display, but can also boot into safe mode. I'm asking the guy what specfic problem's is the card showing when it was being used. Guy suspects it's a vram error, and I was thinking maybe I can take the card apart, hit it with a heat gun all over to possibly reflow the solder in case, with the last resort taking it to a professional and seeing the cost to repair it properly. It sounds very salavageable from the post and examples shown, but wanted to confirm with expierenced people if it's worth a shot on my end.
I am an IT Guy in the field professionally, and want to expand my skills, I think it'd be a fun project to do or piece of hardware to have around, even as a display piece for myself.

Upgraded build using new Sapphire Board
About me: I build my own PCs since early 200s. The current one is based on AMD B550m. Never posted in this subbredit.
Motivation I still have in use a ASRock B550m HDV which is quite well but it lacks an X4 extension slot which is needed for those Slot-Card NVMe expansion card.
- When: I bought the main board last weekend (Sapphire Pulse B550m, AM4)
- Usage: PC is used for everything, but a focus is game modding, media creation, development and audio processing.
- Use FHD 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 resolution
- Country, Costs: Germany, no fixed budget; only replacing main board.
- in 2024 prices do not really compare anymore
- Peripherals: None, I already own everything I need.
- Used / Refurbished: Not applicable here
- My PC Parts:
- * Ryzen AMD APU 5600G
- * T-Force 2x16 GB RAM.
- * Multiple SSDs (NVMe and SATA)
- * Sapphire 8 GB RX 470
- * Be Quiet 500W PSU
- * Two case 120mm fans
- * Case Chieftec UNI BX-10B-M-OP (a black case).
- No, LAN only (not planned)
- Relative Quiet PC, Minimum 3 USB-Ports, 1 USB-C Port, desktop PC, Linux compatibility
The board has Wifi description between external USB/LAN ports and Audio Ports. Left from the Slot (smaller but similar to PCIe X1), there is a description "Wifi Shield". To me it looks like an optional component, but the documentation does not mention it. The shield does come as well with a Wifi description and two holes for antennas.
The question is if that slot is the same as an M.2 E Key slot, typically used for small Wifi boards.

Choosing a pc case
Hi I recently decided to build a pc and I was wondering which case would be better for a build. I was going for a certain build and realized that the AIO would go on top and there would only be one other fan in the build I was looking at. Both cases say they do come with 3 cooling fans and was wondering if I should put the ones that are currently coming with the the case I ordered on the bottom as intake fans or if I should cancel the order and purchase the other case so they are on the side.
I apologize if this post was a little confusing. I will attach the links to the cases and what i was going for.
Case I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBL8S1NR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
what Im going for: https://zttbuilds.com/products/cherry-blossom-v1
If there is also any other cases around the price you would recommend that would be appreciated.

What motherboard should I get?
This is my first time building a pc and I really don’t know much about motherboards, I know I want something pretty future proof but I don’t have a huge budget since I’m spending a lot on cpu + gpu already, I’m getting 5070ti 16gb and ryzen 7 9800x3d. Any help much appreciated lol.
