Alex may be my absolute favorite and I relate to Sagat's redemption arc (very loosely), but C. Viper is the most fun in the entire game. Her moves are flashy and satisfying, her voice acting is incredible, she's a cooler version of Cammy who is character I already like. I play on Modern controls and doing her jab jab jab to electric smash or whatever its called and her auto combos are extremely fun. Her drive impact is extremely satisfying to land a punish counter. I know she's one of the most complicated characters in the entire game, so I avoid all her complicated stuff and just focus on what I find fun. C. Viper is one of the only characters to where if I'm losing or I mess up, I'm still having fun even though I suck. I used to think C. Viper and Alex looked lame and corny when I found out about Year 3, but now Alex became my favorite in the entire game and C. Viper became the most fun in the entire game and is my 3rd favorite. Sagat is mt 2nd favorite and Ingrid is my 4th favorite. I know Modern Controls are overly hated, but I don't care about that. I love spamming her auto combos, satisfying normals and special moves. I also enjoy how she's a parody of western spy movies which is also cool. She's also really silly similarly to Lily and Ingrid at times and I love that too. C. Viper alongside the other Year 3 DLC characters and some of the soundtrack are the last bit of enjoyment I have out of this game and I'm more grateful than ever I got to experience that. That is unless if Capcom REALLY messes up, but I don't think I have to worry about that anytime soon... hopefully.

My turn to post big text
I'm just happy that I could do it :) I got the game 4 months ago and it took me 563,5 hours to reach master with a character, it was the first fighting game I took seriously at learning
Of course I know these matches weren't particularly good, the last one felt really dumb lol but a funny thing is that when I was at platinum something clicked and I went on a 12 win streak and felt unstoppable reaching diamond and genuinely felt like I could reach master, I think I only needed 2 matches until I guesses wrong against a Cammy, now I finally got it on another winning streak against the same character
I think I actually kind of reached master in casuals since I started to get matched against master players a lot more than diamonds, so I guess improvement was bound to happen. Diamond players started feeling kinda dumb to me so I felt more comfortable going back to ranked. Again these matches didn't really feel like a big, final challenge and I keep messing things up but at least not enough, yayayay I love elena I just got the game cuz her trailer appeared on my feed and I fell in love I love her

The most feature-rich version of Third Strike being stuck on Xbox 360 and PS3 is such a shame. We need to convince Capcom to bring it to the next generation of consoles!

Any tips on how to get it right? Would I need to show a handcam?
I also play on Keyboard and you can see some of my settings at the end.

A week ago I posted about how I was feeling hopeless and lost because I went from D4 to D2 and was just losing and felt like nothing I did worked. Lots of people had great feedback for me. I read every single comment on that post and made some goals to try to just enjoy the game and if I managed to get to master then cool. I realized my mental was what was keeping me down. So I set a hard cap of 40 games per session. Before I played I would review the previous session’s games and make a list of stuff that I thought were the reason I lost. After 3 replays I had like 10 things so I decided to focus on a few. Namely, anti-airs, not walking back so much, and better combos. I learned run cancel combos, practiced DPs and run cancel combos for 10 each minutes before queuing. After each round I would think why I lost or won that round. After each match I would think about why I lost or won that match. I tallied the reason and would try to focus on the those things more. I bounced between D2-3 for a few days and then today I just locked in. Went on a 12 game winning streak to make it to master. I rematched and won the match on the screenshot. Did one set of 1500MR, lost my streak, and decided to leave it there. I almost gave up on Ken, I felt like he was so stubby, man had T-Rex arms but watching Musclenoob on YT I got inspired to keep going. Thank you all so much for your feedback. It feels great to make it here with this being my second fighting game.
Marisa is next to get to master 🏛️💪

So, after two days of serious play, I’ve managed to grind my way up to Silver with Ken using just a mixture of poking, anti-air, hadoken and some well times Specials and Shoryukens.
But, I wanna step away from Ken and while I’d love to learn a character like Chun Li or Guile, I also am considering buying my first DLC character.
So I ask…. Who is more viable? Akuma or Sagat? I’ll probably buy both regardless, but who has an easier learning curve? Who do you feel is more rewarding to play as?
Any input is welcome

I do graff art for fun. After seeing the movie I decided to bust a street fighter piece. Hope I followed the posting rules 🙏🏼

If any of you have any tips to help with I would greatly appreciate it, because I at least want to be relatively good one day.

What are all the major differences between the three iterations?
Like are they that big or did she remain mostly the same at least in SF4/SF6? I recall hearing from avid players that SF5 drastically changed her. I ask because I've always been casual SF player only started to get serious with SF6 so as far as I'm concernced back then it feels like the same thing lol.

I have renewed interest from the street fighter film. I’m interested in getting these dlc but I’m having a bit of difficulty deciding which editions. I don’t want to spend the money superfluously. I got the game on sale for 40 a while ago and seeing more complete editions kind of reminded me why I don’t typically buy into hype and buy so soon. Game is awesome but it’s looking to be expensive when considering dlc. Thanks to all who help.

I saw the movie last night with my partner, and were confused if our showing was missing a scene or it was actually cut that way.
We saw where Ryu was hooked up in Bison's chamber with Ken. Then shortly after he was talking to Blanka. There was no scene of them being broken out they were just...out.

Hey everyone! I was lucky enough to contribute some guitar work to the movie! Here’s me playing Ryu’s theme!

the general guides i watched in the past always recommends backwards recovery when you're knocked down but every time i tried to do that, i forgot to actually do the input to back roll because my brain is too occupied to the fight itself. anything i can do to make it muscle memory?

Neutral - aside from whiff punishing, how does neutral in this game work? I'm having trouble understanding what's safe and not safe, how to push back your opponent, and how to use drive rush as a neutral skip. I tried to come up with a more specific question for neutral but I'm honestly just lost.
Pressure - coming from a fighter that's mainly about how to prevent your opponent from playing the game, where advantage lasts a very long time, how are you supposed to navigate opening your opponents up and knowing when pressure ends? This part is probably where the anime fighters and traditional fighters (If that's what you're supposed to call them?) differ the most, but there surely has to be SOME semblance of advantage and some way to mix your opponent up. Furthermore, how do you take advantage off of knockdowns and set up oki in this game?
For further clarification: Overall I've been having a really fun time with SF6! Just been struggling on the learning front more the. I did when I learned other games. I'm really looking for how to execute neutral and pressure and why those methods work in this game. I added the context of being anime fighter player in case I have any misconceptions of how gameplay works in more traditional fighters, I understand that they are vastly different and just want to learn.
Also sorry if my choice of language came of as harsh I just wanted to be concise.

Would anyone be able to give me some advice on how to get out of 1300 MR? I keep reaching 1300–1320 MR, then falling back to 1250 MR and repeating the cycle. I'm not sure what I can do to start improving and break out of this.
Here are some recent games I lost:
DLWJ6K7MK
UUG98UYK5
R8NYQ5U6C
6TUXHRN8V
MEGAKKBDT
My CFN is Juggler95 if anyone wants to look at other games beyond the ones I've listed.
Before anyone mentions it, I have watched all of these replays back.
Some things I've noticed in my gameplay: I still jump in too much, even though I'm trying to do it less. I don't use enough of my buttons in neutral, particularly 5LK, 2LK, 5HP, and 6HP. I probably still use DI more than I should, and I probably don't mix up my oki or wake-up options enough.
If anyone notices anything else in my gameplay, I'd love to hear it. I'd also appreciate advice on how to actually improve on the issues I've identified.
For anyone who watches my gameplay, do you think reaching 1500 MR by my next tournament would be a reasonable goal? It'll probably be in early December.
