Help! Baby Squirrel! What can I do to help this little guy?

This little guy seems to be having a rough go of it. I could probably grab him. There are another couple babies running around that are much more active. I'm guessing he is mostly hungry. I think i got some bird food somewhere... I tossed him some dog food, steel cut oats, and dry sweetened crandberries... It looked like he caught an earthworm and was eating that. He nibbling on a piece of dog food now. Any thoughts on how to give the little guy a bit of luck? Doubt he will make it through the winter, and his siblings are just as bald without the scabs. This has been the worst drought in Northern Wisconsin I recall.

What would cause this tiny bald spot on my buddy?

There's no scrapes or scabs. It seems like a weird spot for an injury. I don't think there's any other spots like it on her.

Flip was stoked to see me today! After being bit a few years ago by another squirrel friend, I was hesitant, but Flip is a good girl and she has been coming to my apartment door almost daily for years. I guess that walnut just looked too good. I am stoked!!!

Help! Injured or ill adult squirrel! Wildlife rehabber- Vet bill emergency crowdfund (injury upon scrolling)

Hi everyone, this is a repost from yesterday since I unfortunately didn't raise enough for Lily's care, we are $100 away.

So right now I have my 4th critical squirrel that requires complex veterinary care that I have had in the past two weeks. I unfortunately have emptied my veterinary fund on 2 critical squirrels, despite my exotic vet's generous discounts. I was able to get the third critical squirrel of this week veterinary care because of this amazing community, which saved that squirrels life, though she is bit completely stable yet. It unfortunately will take me about two weeks until I can top my veterinary fund back up.

This time, a squirrel didn't come in from the wild, she is a juvenile that I hand raised this season and that was already in my care. 😞

I raised her from an eyes-closed baby, and she was so close to being ready for release.. but all of a sudden on Thursday, we noticed that she had developed a bad abscess at the base of her spine (which is an extremely dangerous spot) and now she is showing very concerning signs of infection, possibly sepsis.. It seemed to show up overnight, but it was likely there for a few days, and we only noticed when she groomed her fur away out of discomfort... her breathing was ragged, but thankfully oxygen therapy seems to have helped her a bit..

The picture attached is the abscess from yesterday It has since gotten worse and she needs to see a vet immediately.. he said it is serious enough to consider amputation but that it probably is impossible because of its location. So she also needs surgery and heavy antibiotics. The vet bill is going to be $300 barring any unforeseen complications. I have enough to put 100 towards it. Unfortunately my vet is closed on Sunday so I will have to wait until tomorrow to take her.

If this amazing community would be willing to rally around us once again and contribute to her care, I (and my sweet Lily) would be so grateful.

The first picture is of her as a baby, she actually lost the tip of her tail from her fall from the tree, which also misaligned her bite and gave her a malocclusion. Her in the burrito is the first time I filed her teeth down. She was so calm while I did it that she fell asleep. So many sleepless night feeding her and having her fall asleep in my hands...I will be devastated if I lose her and she never gets the chance to be free. 😞

Here's how you can contribute if you are interested:

Cash App: $hksldb

I can also share a paypal

$125 so far out of $200
