So, this is what happens when i combined two of my favorite games together.
Both games are running at the same time on my PC
Space Engineers handles the planet, the grids, the physics, and your character and it stays fully playable, everything you can do in SE, you can still do it here mods included
Subnautica handles the ocean, the graphics, the creatures, all of it
When you fly down to some point (1000 meters) to the water, the view switches over to Subnautica and everything you built — your ship, your suit, whatever else — gets mirrored into it. Underwater, it's Subnautica's world, that you can build on and many more soon.
This is raw gameplay, about 14 minutes, no editing
It's still a work in progress and not out yet, most of the things you see will probably change.
I've got few more things to polish and to test before releasing it

Neither of us have played either game before and we can both only afford to get one or the other.
Thanks!

Hello all,
I just started SE2 a few days ago and I don't really understand how the progression is suppose to go. I have done all available contracts on the Verdure first outpost (near the Barn) but I am only at 20% progress and status "Explored". I have done the first contract on the space station but I would like to complete Verdure before moving on.
How am I suppose to progress past these 20% ?
As a side note, I really don't understand why this game doesn't have much more visibility on the gaming scene. It look like it could potentially be a perfect middle point between Satisfactory and NMS. I am really exited about it.
Thank for help.

I am planning on building a No Man's sky freighter in SE and was wondering if anybody had any tips for how I could do this?
Obviously it will be scaled down a lot and not have the option to park a ship in it, but I would still like to build one, preferably the thinner one (which is why there's more images of that one).
None of these images are mine, I just found them on Google Images.
I'm hoping this post doesn't get taken down because of rule 3 because, well, none of the images are from SE but, hopefully it wont.
Thanks!

I made this mining rig with the intention for it to push out and down but I can’t figure out why the horizontal pistons won’t push. I’ve tried adjusting the wheel heights, direction, speed, the piston impact strength, velocity, and nothing works. The only solution I’ve sorted found isn’t really a solution. If I toggle interia tensor on every piston on and off, it shakes the whole rig and makes it bounce 0.1m for every click.
UPDATE:
Thank you for the advice and suggestions. After toying with it, I managed to get it more out of whack than it started. I’ve decided to scrap it and try something different since it shuddered and smashed the overhead track and fell in the hole.

Maxter Engineering presents The Scorpion, Star Fighter Model 5 (Alpha Variant)
The Scorpion is a high-performance, hydrogen-powered multirole heavy fighter built to dominate planetary combat, patrols, and assault missions.
Retaining all the premium features of its predecessor, the Model 5 includes a full landing gear system, an automated audio-visual warning suite for low fuel and enemy lock-ons, and dedicated thruster profiles for safe space docking. Engineered specifically for heavy planetary defence, it features Maxter’s signature Quad Vertical Thrust Pack for unmatched agility in high-G environments. Packed with eight rocket pods, six autocannons, two assault cannons, and two massive down-swept wings ready for custom turret or missile payloads—there isn't a fight the Scorpion can't handle.

I play first person only & I'm constantly bumping into things, so I've started including a proximity warning system on all of my small grid ships. This ship just uses 5 sensors giving a binary on/off, you can get more clever with varying the blink length but even this basic system is an improvement on reversing cameras IMO.
