I’ve just bought the new Sony XM4C headphones, but I’ve noticed that the battery life is much shorter than advertised. I’m starting to think they might be faulty.

How long does your battery last with ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) turned on?

Mine lasts around 17 hours, even at low volume, whereas Sony claims up to 27 hours with ANC enabled.

Is this normal, or could I have a defective unit?

I have a Sony VAIO PCG-71911M (VPCEH3N6E, HK1 platform). The 30-pin ribbon connector latch on its USB daughterboard broke off. The board is stamped DA0HK1T…, REV 1FX-D88, with 3 USB ports. I've held the cable in place with tape for now, but the contact isn't reliable.

The correct spare (DA0HK1TB6E0) isn't available where I live. I do have a donor VAIO with an "HK5" motherboard. Its USB board looks very similar: 3 ports, a 30-pin connector labelled CON1, the same SONY layout and the same cable direction. Its sticker reads 33HK6UB0000, though, so it may actually be an HK6 board.

I haven't plugged it in. I'm worried about the pinout, because a mismatch could put 5V on the wrong line and damage the motherboard.

Questions:

Are the HK1 and HK6 USB boards compatible, or at least known to share a pinout?

If I check continuity from each port's 5V and ground pins to the connector pins on both boards, is that enough to be safe?

Is there a good way to repair a broken FFC latch, or replace just the connector, without a hot-air station?

Hopefully someone can chim in. Are some of these Sony ULT Tower 7 come without feature sticker or did BestBuy sell me a used speaker as brand new?

Ive got a sony x90j and I flipped on my pc to go play some games and the whole screen went black except a sliver of pixels on the left of the screen, I put it on crunchyroll and it split the screen. I switched it back to my pc after restarting it and its doing this. During loading screens like Amazon prime or YouTube it shows as one whole image like it normally does even with YouTube with the previews but if you tap on it or click on it, it goes back to split screen or the sliver of pixels on the left.

Out of all the apps on this TV. Why would this one and only one have permission to turn on my screen without my intent?

I can't imagine, guys, that I got a camera that Sony never released before, and this camera was displayed at the 2013 Las Vegas Equipment Show, the 2014 Las Vegas Rainbow Show, which is the Nab Show, and Sony once again exhibited this camera, which I was extremely lucky to be able to collect. Four of these unreleased cameras, this camera is equipped with the same s35 digital sensor as the fs5 fs7, and it also has built-in nd filters to make photography more convenient. All of Sony's 4K cameras, such as the fs series, started with this camera. This camera is a Canon 1dc. So, I bought one of these bridge cameras, but I’ve never experienced anything like this before. It makes this sound even when it’s turned on—though not at full zoom. It doesn’t affect the image quality. I bought it as being in flawless condition; it’s barely used and looks the part, too—everything is perfect, except for this.

I’ve had my Sony x90l 65” tv for almost two years and only noticed the other day what appears to be some double-sided tape showing along the border of the inside panel. I only see it when the sunlight hits the screen. Is this normal or a defect? Has anyone seen this before?

I have a question for Sony FX3/30.
How do you setup your little screen like this so that it only displays your settings and not the video. While still feeding the clean feed into your external monitor…

Has anyone experienced WiFi connection problems.
My Sony tv will connect to WiFi and than switch and say “no internet “
It’s not my WiFi, because my phone and laptop will connect and internet works. Just my tv for some reason
I’ve tried everything .

TV was working great last night, I noticed an update to Google TV was applied and went to bed. Woke up this morning to hearing "clicking" like it was being turned off, then on. Screen is black, nothing displayed whatsoever. I tried doing a factory reset by unplugging/holding power button sequence etc. I also downloaded the firmware version from July to a USB stick to force a boot from usb but nothing. It's getting power, plugged right into the outlet. I see the light on the USB glowing red. Sony says I'm out of luck and cannot help me. I've searched online for motherboards but this model is sold out. Anyone else with similar issues? I can't believe they think it's acceptable to force updates down, ruin the unit, and then not help make it right.

I have this sony Bravia 8 II I got from refurbished. Was wondering what this mark is and if it’s fixable. Seen it might be a scuff on the anti glare or might be bad cleaning. Have tried to remove gently with my finger to no avail.

Hello, i have done a software update on my PS5 recently and since, i have noticed both my dualsense controller vibrations sound weird. I have the setting set to ‘weak’ as i dont want too strong vibration, but i noticed it instantly after the update it felt a lot stronger than ‘weak’ and even makes weird alien like noises or kinda like when you lose in pac-man.

Online it said something like click the mute button on the controller, then change the vibration setting then, restart the Ps5 and switch it all back, but that didn’t work. I tried using a pin and hold for 5 seconds on the back of the controller and it didnt make any difference. My PS5 says it’s on system software 26.06-14.10.00.03-00.00.00.01 (no clue if that helps at all).

I don’t really know what to do to fix it, it’s driving me nuts. I have trialed loads of different games and they all make the controller vibration a lot stronger and make weird noises like in the video i attached. It might have absolutely nothing to do with the software update i just thought it was a crazy coincidence that this all started the minute after doing the update on both controllers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I mainly want to use it for photos and I especially love the dreamy colourful vibe (like the reference pics I added) but I am not sure if that’s achievable with this camera!? if so does anyone have tips on how via settings!

Why the hell whenever I look down to watch my phone screen with my head at a certain angle the noise cancelling from one of the earbuds turns off? I need to remove and insert the buds again to have it working again. 300€ earbuds btw

I tried a dozen times, on mobile data, on wi-fi, on my phone and my laptop, in different browsers. Always the same problem. Does anyone know what's causing this?

Hey all, pretty straightforward here, I have had the Tower 5, but exchanged for the Tower 7, but I think I may actually prefer two Tower 5's for the portability and being able to do stereo sound. Also, the Tower 7, especially on ULT 1 mode is borderline too much bass for in my house unless I adjust the EQ. I'm looking for opinions/advice/wisdom that I may not have thought about before I decide to do one last exchange or not here
