Friday Friends
Bubba is hyperthyroid. He got new meds for it that goes in the ear. Can you tell he doesn't like it? 😿

While this subreddit is primarily for Singapura cats, Friday is the day to share your other feline friends.
Make a post with a photo showing your kitty. Tell us their name(s), what you love about them, funny stories etc. And for regulars, we'd love updates!
In the end, we're all just cat lovers.

Do you have a Singapura cat? We'd LOVE to see your precious baby. Even better yet if you tell us a little more about what makes them special.
Do you know of any ethical Singapura breeders? Please share. This is a rare breed that deserves more attention.
Do you have questions about the Singapura breed? Ask away and hopefully the community will provide an answer.
Did you spot a Singapura at a cat show or elsewhere? Share and tell us where.
Oh, and door to mod mail is always open to your suggestions or concerns. Drop us a line.

This is Minx’s little sister. They’re litter mates, and we are fairly certain Marmalade was the runt of the litter. She sleeps on my legs every night, and stands on my hip if I am not in the correct position when she joins me on the sleepy sqware.
Once they came to us, Marmalade adopted Athena as her teacher and guide, learning to cat properly. In true orange fashion, it takes her months to catch onto things that Minx picks up on quickly, but we don’t mind, because she is so very sweet. Unlike the other two, she has never taken to eating wet food. She likes her crunchies. She’s a big fan of catnip, though.
Her feral family was taken in by my friend who does cat rescue. Marmalade was the last to be captured, and, when Elegant Mom (that’s her official government name) got them outside again behind my friend’s back, Marmalade again evaded capture until the last minute. She doesn’t like to be picked up, but will take all the petting and lap sitting she can get. Strangely, she sheds a LOT more than Minx does. Everything gets a nice coating of orange fur as soon as we put it down.
She is so affectionate. I love her to pieces.

Hi friends!
A couple of weeks ago you met Jax. Now meet his best friend in the world, Oliver McCheese. As most cats do, Oliver has at least five different names: Oliver McCheesePants, Oliver McChonk, Sir HissALot, OhLawdHeComin, and the original OMcC. He was a PetSmart adoption and we just love him to death. He’s also one year older than Jax, so this year he has turned eight. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

I took this photo Monday. My grandma with dementia was trying to play with Olaf, and she put his toy on his head.
Olaf absolutely HATES things on his head, but he laid there like a little gentleman while grandma laughed and laughed.

Hi and thanks for hosting!
I met my first Singapura when visiting a cat cafe on Oahu! Absolutely fell in LOVE with a little girl there and joined this sub!
This is my girl Toni, the one who started it all for us. She and her litter mates were rescued but she was the only one that wasn't adopted and went to a local cafe to meet potential adopters. She was tiny and terrified but when we met, she ate kibble out of my hand and started purring. She came home with a brother soon after. Toni is a medium haired tuxedo, and has the softest fur ever.
Edit: a typo

She is wondering why I had to work today after being free to pet her all week. Sorry, Lu! All vacations come to an end.

This is Tali, my 5 year old ruddy Abyssinian. She loves posing for the camera.

This is S’mores and Poof ( the one with all the hair) and they are sisfurs of Ember and Swirly. Ember is of course incredibly jealous of them and will lay on all of their blankets and try to get between us on the couch. If the enclosure door is left open she will go lay on their hay.
They wanted to say hello to all of their beautiful cat friends 👋

I know cats aren’t supposed to like having their fur rubbed the wrong way, but AJ doesn’t seem to just tolerate it, she seems to enjoy it. And her fur is so soft, I am always rubbing her all over. This is her next to me after I fluffed it all the wrong way, and then again after I smoothed it back out for her.

Hi Singapuras! We're Sasha (tabby), Tria (calico) and Dax (tortie). We're here thanks to LCA and ICBGC where we've gotten such good advice and a lot of laughs. Since we're on the Singapura subreddit, a shout out to u/Charivari8 for all the joy those kitties have given us (Tali, Maya, Frankie and Drew). We've been fans for a long time and we were happy to see this subreddit pop up in our feed. You're all such fun and pretty kitties and we would snuggle with you all.
Our human likes you too and would be happy to pet each and every one of you beautiful kitties. Thanks for letting us come by to express our admiration. Happy Friday!

This is Thelma Thumbs, my aunt and uncle’s cat. She is queen of all she surveys, a supreme hunter, and terrorizes the various dogs that live in her domain. Her sister Louise is much more shy.
Here she is, providing nurse kitty care when I broke my ankle a few years back. She purrs like a car engine and makes excellent biscuits.

... I present to you this tragic picture taken while the void pack's meowmie 1 was making their dinner in the kitchen. Poor Wednesday had already fainted from hunger and would like me to point out that they NEVER get food OR toys OR scritches OR love or ANYTHING.

This face melts my heart every day, multiple times a day. Unfortunately she's usually too busy attacking her toys to hold still for good pictures!

Hi everyone and Happy Singapura Friday. I know it’s been a stressful week but hoping everyone has a good weekend and next week is better.
Here are a few recent pics of Indy. We have an arcade game that is off in a corner and currently a catchall for couch stuff. Last night he decided that would be his resting spot despite never using it before. It appears to be a restful spot and good for observation of us.

Hello to all of our Singapura friends out there!
For those who haven’t met her, this is Ella Marie, the little demon that stole my heart 5 years ago. She’s a Valentine’s Day baby, so I guess I should have expected nothing less. She’s pretty much attached at my hip everywhere I go and does her best to test my patience at every turn. At the same time she’s the most affectionate and loving kitten, right up until one of her brothers or sisters tries to get my attention away from her 🤣.
HAPPY SFF everyone! ❤️❤️❤️

Meet Astra and Nia, two almost-sisters we adopted from a shelter in December 2024.
Astra (tabby and white) is curious, adventurous, and way too clever for her own good. She's interested in absolutely everything and learns scarily fast.
Nia (black and white) is a little more cautious, especially around strangers, but she's incredibly sweet and affectionate once she feels comfortable.
They're both a little over two years old, and while they have very different personalities, they get along pretty well
