I've noticed that quite a lot of scooter riders in my neighborhood just pop their helmets on and then don't bother to strap their helmets on. If you have a helmet like that, and don't strap it on, that makes it not actually a helmet. A helmet with no strap holding it on is just a hat. It won't protect you even slightly in the event of a crash. It'll just fall off and you'll get to enjoy your crash with a naked head.
It's not worth being cool and not strapping your helmet on. Wear your helmet properly. For your own sake.

I thought I could ride. I thought was nimble on Triumph Street Twin. You guys are totally bad ass. I mean some biker split lanes - you guys split atoms. Some of the best rider on two wheels in the world. For play, for work, you make your machine is a like a Swiss Army knife all the while carrying a propane tank, a baby, a ladder - while pivoting in slides. Then buying a pint of fuel like it’s a fifth of Jack - "Bensin Eceran". Mad props to the riders skills and how they seem to work with the vehicles and pace Olga’s. Literally speechless. That and I am
Currently shopping around for one. Maybe an XMax.

I found this abandoned Gyro in a police impound lot, paid $50 and had it titled in the spring. Sourced some tires, (not easy) had a key made, changed the leaking petcock and spark plug. It runs like a new Honda and it’s my favorite scooter to ride. Put about 500 miles on it this season

There's a place here in the Philippines where you can experience this uphill hairpin called "Devil's Corner" where many riders experience crashes hence called the name.

Скутеру 40 років майже нічого не мінялося все з завода мінялося декілька деталь які на роботу не впливають але важко вдуматися що йому скільки років а він досі на ходу і весь в стокі.

This bike genuinely gave me a lot of fun, even if it’s pretty slow, from running everyday errands to just cruising around.
The gas mileage is surprisingly great for a carbureted underbone; of course, it depends on your throttle control and speed, but it’s still impressive.
Just gave it a fresh wash before taking this photo, followed by the usual chain maintenance. A great beginner bike!

Hello guys,
I need your help here please.
I have tried to unscrew this part so I can fit the foam hand grips but failed with the screwdriver and the screwdriver machine.
Any tips and tricks on how to remove this part easily?

Timeline
Week 1: Dealer fixed the horn, MIL light and stalling. MIL and stalling came back midway home.
~2 weeks later (number plate + 1st service): "Fixed" again. Same issue the next day. Dealer said to wait for the 2nd service since they're 15 km from me.
2nd service (nearest service center): They tried to fix it. Came back midway.
Contacted the company's territory manager (TM): He said to visit again. They changed the air filter. Issue returned.
Scooter kept 15 days: They replaced the odometer with a higher variant's (MIL light gone) and said they changed the throttle body. Stalling was back in 2 days.
TM's response: "It didn't stall in front of us." That afternoon it stalled while I was riding and I had a minor accident.
After the accident: They collected it to fit a "modified" throttle body. I filed a complaint on NCH. After that we got threatening calls, and the complaint was taken down.
25 days later: Got it back, but stalling returned. I sent them a helmet-cam video. They picked it up again and said they forgot to calibrate it. Back after 5 days.
Oct 9: 20 smooth days, then it stalled again. Now they say "we fixed that issue, this is something else."
Every time, the answer has been "it never stalls in front of us."
What I need advice on:
Has anyone had MIL + stalling that kept coming back? What was the actual cause?
Do I have a case for a replacement or refund?
Mil light is already fixed and don’t want to go legal it already been 11 month

I bought red abd yellow/amber COB LED light strands for my lil 50cc. Legally in my area those are the colors allowed for back and front of vehicles. (Nothing crazy like greens or blue etc)
I was thinking of mounting them using either 3m vehicle trim tape (dark gray color used on cars for trim and emblems) but then thought maybe these zip tie mounts every 3~4in would be better. (Amazon link below) https://www.amazon.com/XHF2018-Adhesive-Holders-x19-5mm-HS-101S/dp/B07M69LK65/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1YRTN3RJOJZXR&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.iHqL8pQskxlqUO0WalV4PhGmKCp5SLBhw_GZGgIdoMsu6iVYUmzHkx3rQEg-ttQtE3YJDwP1IdVgPlUI9OILEryTXKpQd-Sj9POupi66UyeK6YmNmKxzRtkp_22FHP9ctx6C7eIyfhR7m8VD4RFeW8ITi9cczLJmdTfLOuFptV7goYJXXXop3ZyL8hHy5KztGuHivDS1Od_yVlA_H7bsfg.aknoRrk5skXt1xWzPLGiK3JCprg7Z0i8gzIuELaOdLw&dib_tag=se&keywords=3%2F4%22+ziptie+mounts&qid=1792247639&sprefix=3%2F4+ziptie+mounts%2Caps%2C199&sr=8-3
What do you guys think? The back light strand shouldn't be a problem because little wind. The front is a bit more of a worry.
Btw they are usb powered and will run off an external battery bank i plan to store in my seat. So 0 drain on the battery. (I've run tgis type setup on my pets jacket for night runs and it easily powers the lights) Also i can adjust intensity so the red will NOT be brighter than the brake light when activated so it won't confuse drivers. The lights will provide an outline more or less. The stick bulbs are sort of a joke.
So it's legal the way i plan to do it i just want the best simi permanent mount. Drilling will cause water issues AND i could see cause a crack long term. Adhesives won't i just need a good mount.
Btw I've also considered using BOTH the zip mounts and tape together. Like tape for ~6" and one ziptie mount.
Any thoughts or tips? I eventually want LED turn signals and a better head light but that's not going to happen soon. The head light bulb is dumb and not like a normal car plug. (Probably normal but my 1st scooter so idk) So it's not as easy as buying a led headlight and plug N play. I'd need to cut wires and maybe then just get LED Nilight light pods and Frankenstein the poor thing. Lolol

I’ve been putting some miles on my 2019 Yamaha XMAX 300 exploring Oregon and the PNW. Last week I did a ride through the Columbia River Gorge‘s Waterfall Highway and then up the forest roads to Larch Mountain.
So far my longest trips have been from Portland to Cannon Beach and Astoria, but I’m planning to venture farther next spring.
Anyone else here doing longer trips or touring on a scooter?
