Space solar procurement: bare cell, CIC, wired panel or deployable array?

Disclosure: this is the FULLSUNS company account. We work with GaAs photovoltaic components. This is a supplier-side checklist for defining a space-solar enquiry, not a customer endorsement or a claim that all configurations share the same qualification.

A request for a ‘satellite solar panel’ can describe several different deliverables. A bare cell, a cell-interconnect-coverglass (CIC) assembly, a wired panel and a deployable array have different integration boundaries. State which level you need and which work your team will perform.

For an initial review, it helps to provide:

- Mission power demand, operating modes and bus requirements. Separate array output from power needed after conversion and storage.

- Available mounting area and mechanical interfaces. For an array, include both stowed and deployed envelopes.

- Orbit or operating environment, mission duration, temperature assumptions and shading constraints.

- Electrical channels and connectors, plus deployment or release interfaces where relevant.

- Requested qualification and acceptance tests. A report for one configuration does not automatically cover a different assembly or mission.

- Quantity, target delivery window and the technical documents needed for selection.

Unknown values can remain open at the enquiry stage. A preliminary power budget, interface sketch and list of unresolved assumptions are more useful than treating a catalogue cell-efficiency figure as a finished-array specification.

For context, our overview distinguishes cells/CIC, panels and custom deployable arrays: https://www.fullsuns.com/en/nanosat.html

For teams that have purchased space-solar hardware: which integration boundary or missing input caused the most back-and-forth in your RFQ? Please avoid sharing confidential mission or supplier information.

this is my idea atm what I was thinking is the idea for a telescope like jwst, that has two arms that has two cameras if something goes through both image quickly it would be close the longer it takes the further it is
