Question Need help: Turning a Python project into something people can use as a plugin?
I'm not sure if this is the right place or how to ask, but here goes.
I don't know the first thing about making an integrated plugin with a game, but I do know Python and using APIs.
I built this little tool for myself doing archaeology on my GIM as a pet project. Everything here was pulled using the RSwiki API resources for python. That said, all of this is client-side and as such cannot access the player's material storage and do checks in that way.
With the right help is this something I can make into a plugin, and would people even find it useful? I imagine there are way better skilled hands at making something else for tracking arch, but I think this was interesting to build and has been useful to me personally.
EDIT: It has full functionality for every current digsite. Arma 1 is the demo case.

I think so, but nothing wrong with making a plugin for that in game. Makes it more convenient.

Howdy! I'm a dev that's part of the beta - happy to chat!
Is this essentially just an archeology restoration calculator like what already exists on the wiki? If so, then it should be very easy to port to Lua for a plugin. In fact, I'm in the middle of making a banked XP plugin which should do essentially this.
If that's not what it is, I'd love to hear more about what it is you're looking for. I might not be able to make it myself, but I can at least drop a line to other devs that there's interest for it.
