DISCUSSION 💭 What Fantasia deep cut have y’all been revisiting lately?
I’ve been listening to “Got Me Waiting” again, and that song still hits! 😭 That was a HIT in my household, and I’m not even kidding. I also love the fact that Ciara co-wrote it. I didn’t appreciate that connection enough until I found out!
Fantasia has some good songs that I feel like don’t get brought up enough, especially when people talk about her older albums. Sometimes you gotta go back and revisit those album tracks because there are some gems on there that you might’ve forgotten about.

10s Macy Gray - The Sellout (2010) - Such an underrated album.
Was listening to this again this morning, and even after so many listens, I still love every single track on this album. It’s one of those records that never gets old for me. Macy’s voice, the blend of different genres, it all just works so well together.
I feel like this album deserves way more love than it gets. Anyone else a fan?

DISCUSSION 💭 Musically who turned out to be more influential: Prince or Michael Jackson?
i was listening to this podcast and someone said something that made me think: as big as Michael was, has he been more influential than Prince when it comes to the music created by the next generations up to this day?
now that i think about it i believe Michael was more influential in other things, especially when it comes to what artists could be, but i hear a lot more of Prince's musical influence than Michael.
EDIT: abort mission. i was too naive thinking people would stick to the topic at hand. i literally referred specifically to the music, has music itself, the sounds, the songs, been more influenced by Michael or Prince? but everyone in the comments talking about stardom, culture and fame, which i literally gave to Michael too in my original post
