This uses brittle ice from the new snapshot. Players in boats don't break the ice so you can safely travel on them. This design only uses 2 sticky pistons, 2 observers, 3 blue ice, 9 slime blocks, and a water loggable block. The only further optimization is maybe the amount of slime blocks. This can be made in any direction and can be mirrored.

I have a water stream throwing out items into this hopper, but it gets full very fast.

The hopper often gets full and the chest receives items slowly.

This is the best cannon design I’ve made for the sulfur TNT dupe glitch, and I find the firing motion pretty satisfying.
It is easily adjustable in range, and fires with the power of 5-50+ cubes.
The things that can cause issues with the machine; not having enough floating cubes for the firing pin, letting the top dispenser run out of blocks, or the ammo chamber running out of cubes.

Placing a block over redstone torch burns it and sends quick pulses. But it also doesn't affect the piston behavior unless a repeater is in the circuit.

Hello reddit, i’m trying to make a system that counts how many items are in a chest as part of a much larger project called project SMELT. The reason why I’m doing this is because I’m adding an automatic sorting system with a copper golem and I don’t want a hopper to extract the last item in a chest And I’ve been struggling with the Redstone a lot. (this is definitely a lower quality post, but this is just a call for help)

I am trying to make something that will detect when there is no longer a minecart on my track. When there's no movement on the detector rail for awhile the compatator clock should slowly turn off, but it goes a little crazy and fires my dispenser 3 or more times

If this can be smaller or more compact, I would also prefer that, I have just been messing with the idea. If anyone could provide a working schematic or description of how to fix

Placed perpendicular to your view, it ingests up to 4 adjacent blocks into internal GUI slots (without dropping them as items) and redeploys them with redstone logic. It can replace laggy flying-machine arrays with compact mechanical magic.

The two sides not used for block intake (front and back) handle redstone details. Power levels directly control behavior:

•Strength 1 = pulls 1 block (starting left)
•Strength >1 = pulls blocks in a circular pattern until power is out
•Strength 4 = pulls all 4 blocks
•Continuous strength = circular pull/push

For example, a redstone power level of 3 pulls the left, top, and right blocks leaving the bottom open.
This allows a hopper to sit directly underneath to process blocks straight from the Itemizer.

If it can’t ingest any more blocks due to empty space nearby (or being full), but still being powered, it redeploys what it's holding.

TL;DR
It’s a compact block buffer & mechanical shift-register for true lag-free vanilla tech builds.
This block can allow builds to be reoriented without harm, tree farms to be more compact, more advanced piston doors, and other modular redstone mechanics.

Honestly, i’m just wondering if this idea has legs to be turned into a mod or a suggestion for Minecraft devs themselves?

Uses the hopper minecart to catch the discs, and the four blocks around the hopper stop the disc falling out of the mechanism, and holds four discs, pretty simple but it's the smallest I could figure out how to make this! I've tested it on Java and on Bedrock and while it does work all of the time on java, it occasionally breaks on bedrock, so while it does still work, you will need to manually pick up discs sometimes.

2 weeks ago I sat down and made my first 3x3 without looking at any redstone tutorials. It took around 2 hours. It was so fun that a week ago I made a 4x4 and posted it here. Since then I spent 13 hours making this 5x5. I know it is kinda slow. It can be faster but i don't have energy to make it faster.
