Looking For Others Am I going to be diagnosed with arteritis?
Hi everyone. I'm 36 years old.
For the last 12 months I had gradually worsening symptoms, which were first suspected to be cancer.
I've had spasms throughout my body - legs, abdomen and arms paired with reactive lymph nodes. Lymph nodes were hard, small and they didn't change in size but biopsy was performed and came back inconclusive / no malignancy. Multiple ultrasounds were performed. Ct scan of abdomen and chest came back clear. Mri of the pelvis came back clear as well. Nobody found it suspicious that my subclavian arteries were dilated and when I pointed it out to my doctor, she said it's muscles, not subclavian arteries. Ultrasound done two weeks later confirmed I'm right. What followed was that both left and right vena saphena magna became palpable and doppler stated that valves were becoming weaker. All of this recently led to realizing that whatever is happening, it's attacking my arteries and blood vessels. When I started reading why this would be the case, the only thing that came back was some kind of arteritis possibility. But my cbc, crp and esr are normal. So what's happening? Doctors are slow, they were getting me to do all these scans and ultrasounds but what I need from the start is scanning of my vascular system. I'm feeling awful. I have no energy. I can't recover from simple flues and I have vascular spasms throughout my body. I'm desperate, because if something is really attacking the inner lining of my arteries and blood vessels, the damage can't be repaired.
Please, if anyone has any ideas, advice or experience to share, I need your help.
