Discussion Im so proud of this team

As someone who’s been a fan over 30+ years, let me tell you I haven’t been this excited in a while. Yes we lost to the chiefs, and the bills. But my god we finally look like a real competitive team. We haven’t been able to say that in many, many years. Aside from the flashes in 16’ & 21’ our team hasn’t been this dangerous in a long time. Much kudos to this new coaching regime. We have a competent front office, and I hope Kubiak gets a similar contract to what we gave Gruden last time. As a fan base we cannot reasonably expect to turn a complete 180 in our first year, but we are headed that way. And fast. Thats the exciting part for me. We are disciplined, and focused. As Adams once told Surtain “He’s not there yet!” Neither are we. Don’t let these close losses get you down guys. In fact it should be the opposite, again, its year 1 for this new system. We are already pushing top tier teams to the very end of games. Sky’s the limit. Go Raiders!!

Klint Kubiak has made the Raiders competitive, but the head coach isn’t satisfied

A season removed from the NFL’s worst record with a new coach and roster in place, the goal for the Raiders this year was always to raise their level of competition. Aside from a passive performance against the Patriots, they’ve done so. But Klint Kubiak comes from a winning culture, his finger sized for a Super Bowl ring won with the Seattle Seahawks just months ago. The taste of success means that playing teams tough is not enough, a mindset now entrenched in the locker room.

“The standard is winning, and as long as Klint’s here, that’s gonna be the standard,” tight end Michael Mayer said. “He’s been all about winning since the second he stepped in the door. That’s what you want your head coach to do, that’s what you want him to be about. And I wanna win as much as he wants to — he’s made all of us (want to).”

As for how to rise to that standard, Kubiak had a clear message.

“Close. Games. Out,” he said before ending his news conference.

There is no easy win in the NFL and I hope that Kubiak continues to show us that this team is headed in a different direction

News Kubiak defends Tyler Linderbaum

“I think he’s been a leader on our offense. A huge reason why we were able to score on six of 10 possessions.”

No surprise that Raiders coach Klint Kubiak didn’t take the bait today when asked about center Tyler Linderbaum’s struggles yesterday.

Linderbaum said after the game that he “didn’t feel good” about his performance.

Kubiak added, “for a guy that is hard on himself, that usually tells you that he cares. He is a leader, he is accountable and that’s Tyler.”

serious In memory of my dad

Hello everyone! I just wanted to share my dad’s story with fellow Raiders fans because of how much he loved this team. ❤️🏈

He was a lifelong fan of the team, supporting them through the Los Angeles days, the Oakland days, and now the Las Vegas era. He used to joke that the front office should have asked for his approval before moving the team to Las Vegas!

I have fond memories of watching Super Bowl XXXVII on television with him, and the Raiders were something that remained close to his heart throughout his life.

The reason I'm posting this is because unfortunately my dad passed away on September 26 after a long battle with stage 4 COPD and stage 4 colorectal cancer. I realize this may not be read by many people but I simply feel it's my duty as his daughter share with you all just how much this team meant to him.

When it came time to say goodbye, we made sure he was laid to rest with some Raiders memorabilia as a way of honouring his lifelong love for the team. Even in his final resting place, we wanted a piece of something that brought him so much happiness to be with him.

I wanted to share his story because, while the Raiders are a football team to many people, they were so much more than that to my dad. They were a lifelong passion, a source of memories, and a part of who he was.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope that someone out there has a similar story and I just wanted to keep his memory alive by sharing that there was a devoted fan who stood by the team through every chapter of its history, and that his love for the Silver and Black never wavered.

Once a Raider, always a Raider.

With heartfelt appreciation,

A daughter remembering her dad 🖤🤍

I don’t know about you all, but I’m having fun this season.

Kirko is slinging it, those two passes to Tucker were dimes. The vibe he seems to have with Mendoza every time the camera cuts to them on the sideline looks great. Mayer stepped it up in a big way yesterday, we have two top notch TEs. We’re 3-3 and 2 of those losses came against pre-season favourites by 3 points each. Stukes and Washington are looking like good picks. The LB room is a fucking delight.

Yeah, some shit needs work and some positions need improving, but this is such a big improvement on the last couple of years. Im enjoying watching this team compete.

Maybe we’ll sneak the playoffs, maybe we won’t. Either way, if the team keeps playing like they have for 5 of the 6 games this year then it’s going to be a fun year.

Discussion Raiders' Jeanty Draws Dreaded Trent Richardson Comp

Ashton Jeanty got the Trent Richardson comparison 🤦‍♂️

- - League analyst Steve Palazzolo talked about Jeanty this week and said he is starting to get vibes from Jeanty that remind him of former first-round pick Trent Richardson.

“The Jeanty thing, though, I do feel like every carry he morphs between Trent Richardson. I’m concerned and ‘Oh, man. There it is, tough to tackle,” Palazzolo said on the Check the Micpodcast. - -

Fair or no?

If Kirk can throw the Bomb (and he can - we saw) Why aren't we throwing any especially early to loosen up these defenses?

Discussion Jeanty is okay

Jesus Christ, our team was the worst in football last year. Of course we are going to struggle against teams at times. Our line got better but still lacks high end talent and depth. We need a OG really bad. Can’t trust JPJ, he’s in and out of the lineup. It shows in the run game but holy shit people wanna act like jeanty is the problem. Do you guys realize that only Derrick Henery sees more stacked boxes at the LOS. He also is getting hit close to 50% of his carries behind the LOS. We have zero WR that scare anybody and it shows. It’s not all on one guy but a combinations of things but people don’t like nuance.

Last year at this time, we were 1-5 with 4 terrible games. This year we are 3-3 with only 1 poor game. This is a rebuilding year and we have obvious holes in the team but you can't get mad about we are actually in games and getting chances to win. How many games did we have last year where it was obvious the game was over by half time?
