This town needs to support this team more

Fan since I was born. Oakland games were crazy. My dad used to take us for big divisional games. I remember seeing a guy with a split jersey of Romanoski , half raiders, half broncos. He ended up getting beer thrown at him in the bathroom. You were playing with fire if you wore the opposition.

Its heartbreaking to see the stadium full of opposing fans. I went to Vegas this past weekend for my birthday and it kills me seeing the stadium 70 percent blue. I can't even go see them play at a bar when the bar is full Bills fans.

I'm a dodger fan. I can't even imagine dodger stadium over run with Giants fans. Would never happen. This team needs more support from the locals. Or the team needs to figure out a way to keep ticket sales based on zips. Idk what needs to be done but it's shameful. Everywhere you go the opposition is there.

Discussion analysis of john spytek as a gm

POSITIVES

- hiring klint kubiak

- drafting ashton jeanty & mike washington jr

- extending mayer

- signing tyler linderbaum

- signing quay walker & nakobe dean

- improving the secondary (stokes, johnson, chinn, porter, stukes)

- handling of the 2026 qb situation (rookie learning from a vet)

NEGATIVES

- giving kwitty paye and jalen nailor $30+ million

- trading for geno smith and later giving a massive extension of $75 million

- letting talent walk out the door (spillane, moerhig, chassion, deablo)

- passing on luther burden/drafting jack bech and 2 backup linemen via trade

- trading jakobi meyers instead of extending him

- failure to improve the defensive line

OVERALL GRADE: B

what’d u guys think, me personally i think he’s doing a good job but he’s made sum iffy decisions

Discussion Raiders' Jeanty Draws Dreaded Trent Richardson Comp

Ashton Jeanty got the Trent Richardson comparison 🤦‍♂️

- - League analyst Steve Palazzolo talked about Jeanty this week and said he is starting to get vibes from Jeanty that remind him of former first-round pick Trent Richardson.

“The Jeanty thing, though, I do feel like every carry he morphs between Trent Richardson. I’m concerned and ‘Oh, man. There it is, tough to tackle,” Palazzolo said on the Check the Micpodcast. - -

Fair or no?

Discussion Draft Priorities

It’s far too early, but let’s have fun.

We are not likely to be in the top 1-7 picks (I hope), so any crazy top draft prospect we can probably ignore.

Generally the weaknesses to address sooner than later:

-Defense: Dline, middle line backers in coverage, edge.
I do believe our DC is fine, but our team is too young in the back, and we are giving up a crazy amount of points. Got to get to the QB faster, stop the run, and cover the flats.

-Oline: Guards, and eventually our left tackle as Miller slowly declines from age we might as well get our next guy ready. In theory this makes the run game more consistent and we need to protect Mendoza under center with play action.

-W1: Tucker is solid enough slot, we have a handful of scrappy w2. But we need a guy that demands the #1 corner to free up bowers.

Now the draft (imo):

We have standard draft picks rounds 1-5 unless we trade Max away to pick up extra picks of course. I would honestly be in favor of this as great as Max is and has been, the only way to speed up the rebuild is turn one contract into several contracts especially cheap rookie ones. Imagine if we drafted a Max next year (easier said than done I know)

Round 1 on defense, it fits better for the contract value. Defense wins championships and all that. Typically this is a pass rusher. We have our young QB we need a young star on the other side.

Round 2, WR, or Oline if we think we would miss out on something rare by the 3rd round.

Round 3, Oline Oline Oline Oline. The line needs to stop being an excuse. We need to find out if our backs are even worth their contracts. I haven’t been convinced one way or another yet on their skill as the line seems to get pushed around every snap.

Happy to hear from the more college savvy on what this years prospects look like!

Meme November 1, Raider Nation could do the funniest thing

The Raiders will be all the way out in New Jersey York playing the Jets. As much as I would love to see Raider Nation travel for that, cross-continental flights are expensive, especially on such short notice. Closer to home, the Rams and the Chargers will be playing at SoFi. Dogshit game notwithstanding, imagine if LA's Raider fanbase pulled up to that game anyway, in black, booing both teams.

McCoy

Early in the preseason there was hype around Jerod McCoy and he has since vanished. Is he healing? Not looking so good in practice? We sure could use “First round talent” in the secondary prone to give up chunk plays.

The offensive gives me hope… Defense not so much…

After 6 games, the Raiders have scored 162 points and allowed 162 — averaging 27 points per game on both sides. That’s 6th best in the NFL. Second in the AFC behind the Bills…

The defense? A different story… Points allowed:

Dolphins: 13
Chargers: 14
Saints: 27
Chiefs: 30
Patriots: 45
Bills: 33

Yes, Buffalo and KC are tough matchups. But giving up 102 points over the last 3 games (34 per game) is rough. But this is also the cream of the AFC.

If this offense can keep putting up 27 a game and the defense can become even average, this team could actually make the playoffs.

That’s wild considering how bad things got last year.

Discussion Jeanty is okay

Jesus Christ, our team was the worst in football last year. Of course we are going to struggle against teams at times. Our line got better but still lacks high end talent and depth. We need a OG really bad. Can’t trust JPJ, he’s in and out of the lineup. It shows in the run game but holy shit people wanna act like jeanty is the problem. Do you guys realize that only Derrick Henery sees more stacked boxes at the LOS. He also is getting hit close to 50% of his carries behind the LOS. We have zero WR that scare anybody and it shows. It’s not all on one guy but a combinations of things but people don’t like nuance.

Trade deadline.

• Upvotes

I believe Nov 10 is the deadline. Who might be shopped?

- Tre Tucker? Contract up after the season - likely to draft a wr early next year,
.
- JPJ? He’s been just a guy.

- Maxx? Elite contender might break the bank for another difference maker

- Mayer?

Could Jeanty fetch a 1st round pick?

Not saying Jeanty is bad but our OL is doing him no favors this year. Thoughts on selling high to stockpile picks to bolster the line? There’s a connection with Seattle and they could use a legit RB and we’d roll with MW4 for the rest of the year
