Silly Floof My poor baby had to have all his teeth removed. 💔

It’s been two months now, and for a long time, I had no idea how much pain he must have been in. I cried at the vet when I found out that they really had to remove every single one of his teeth!
But he’s handling everything like the little fighter he is, and thankfully, he’s doing so much better now. He’s so much happier again because he’s finally pain-free, and he can eat without any problems.
I’m so incredibly proud of him! 🥹❤️

We adopted my Oatmeal from the breeder after she had been returned at 2 years old when her original owner passed. She has never been super affectionate or cuddly with us and I figured it was due to her previous home environment, maybe they weren’t as affectionate. But she has been so cuddly and sweet today and it really just made my day!

General Advice Uk Food advice

Post image

Hey everyone, I have a 12 week old kitten who was on a pretty poor food diet when I got him (lots of grains and fillers. I've signed up to a few higher quality food brands, katkin, untamed and marro. He's hit or miss with katkin and untamed and loves Marro but i hear mixed opinions on them. Marro is 80%+ percent meat with prebiotics in the form of some starches. Some say its good for Ragdolls with their temperamental tummies and others don't like them, anyone able to help ?

Health Advice Possible reasons for throwing up?

Post image
16 Upvotes

Hi all,

My 10 month old boy, Toro, has thrown up twice in the last week. It’s mostly undigested with whole shapes of his kibble visible along with some hair (not sure what’s considered a little or a lot of hair as I’m a first time pet owner). I’ve had him for about 4 months and he’s been fine up until this past week. He still plays, uses the litter box, and acts normal otherwise.

There also haven’t been any changes to his diet. Hes free fed dry food, and fed wet food once a day at dinner time. I’m pretty certain it’s not due to the wet food since the times he throws up are far before it’s his dinner time.

He’s also not a very fast eater with his dry food, as he picks out the dry food from his bowl and eats it off the floor (I’ve gone through several types of bowls and this is what he prefers to do with his kibble).

My conclusion is that it could be due to hairballs but im not so sure. I’ll admit I haven’t been grooming him as much as I should 😅 Any one have any suggestions? Much appreciated 🙏

General Advice Bonded Ragdoll

This is my 4 month old boy, he’s bonded to me and refuses to cuddle other family members at night. My fiance sleeps in the same bed. He must be touching me at all times. When she initiates cuddles he’ll stay with her for a maximum of 5 minutes and then crawl over to me.

Is there a way for him to bond with my other family members? I have no issues with him being bonded to me but there will be times where I need to travel for work and I’m worried he will become stressed. I just want our boy to spread the love!

General Advice Is it better to get a second kitten?

Post image
76 Upvotes

We just got this little girl a couple weeks ago (first time ragdoll owner - we love her!) However, I also have a senior cat who is very anxious/skittish, she was always picked on by my other two cats who have now passed. Since I'm assuming she's in the last couple years of her life (she has CKD and some liver issues) I wanted to get a kitten before her passing. I honestly thought with the kitten being little she'd not feel threatened by her, but it's seemed to stress her out and she doesn't like the kitten coming too close or she hisses and/or swats.

I know introductions/transitions can take some time, but I'm wondering if it would be best for both the kitten (so she can have a friend) and my senior cat so they can play with each other and leave her be. But I also don't want to stress out my senior cat even more. Has anyone with a senior cat done this, does it actually help or make it more stressful/chaotic for the senior cat?
