Advice/Help 🥺 How Can I Believe That There Is a God Who Cares About Me?

• Upvotes

Please don’t tell me, “This world is the paradise of the unbeliever and the hell of the believer.” There are people who believe and have wonderful lives in this world, just as there are people who don’t believe and have terrible lives. Besides, this doesn’t help with anything.

Ever since I lost my father, I haven’t been able to look at life positively. I begged Allah, prayed to Him not to take away my closest friend, my father, but my beloved dad lost his one-year battle with cancer. I’m 27 years old, and the rest of my life will be spent without him. Even if I live to the relatively young age of 55, I will have spent more years of my life without my father than with him. Even before my father was diagnosed with cancer, I prayed for many personal things that seem insignificant now, of course, compared to what I’ve been through, but those prayers went unanswered too.

A creator may have created this universe, but does He care about us? I genuinely can’t be sure anymore. It feels as though God has never given me any sign. And if He has, it feels as though He is trying to push me away from Him. Because despite every setback, I continued to believe in Him. I never disrespected Him. Yet, in the end, He took my father away from me too, and my life and mental health have been turned upside down.

My only hope is to see my father again in the afterlife, but even that makes me feel as though I might be deceiving myself, because it feels like Allah never answers any of my prayers.

I haven’t completely lost my faith, but I don’t know anymore. I feel like I’m stuck somewhere in between.

Will Allah never give us any sign? Are we never going to feel His presence in any way, and yet we are still expected to believe in Him? If iman means believing with certainty, how am I supposed to become certain?

Another thing I don’t understand is that even Prophet Abraham asked Allah for a sign so that his heart could be reassured. Even someone who communicated directly with Allah wanted reassurance in his heart.

How am I supposed to have absolute faith when I try to be a good person, my prayers go unanswered, and I have to watch my good father suffer from cancer for an entire year?

Advice/Help 🥺 How to deal with celibacy as a young widower?

I've been married to an awesome woman who by the way presented islam to me (I'm from a country with near zero Islamic presence). But she sadly died six months ago. She was 27, me, 29.

Now, as if it wasn't terrible enough to lose the love of my life, I'm dealing with something named widower's fire. Basically, the body craves for intimacy when it used to experience it and it got suddenly interrupted. Google it to know more but it's an observed natural effect of widowhood.

I've talked to 3 imans who advised me to remarry fast. Well, it's not that simple. A wife isnt a smartphone that stops working today and you just get a new one from the nearby mall tomorrow. Plus, I don't want to remarry. I know people change their minds, but to me, now, I'm sure she was the love of my life and I don't want to pursue all the dreams I had with her (such as having kids and a family) with someone else. I'm making peace with the fact of living alone for the foreseeable future and I want to be married only to her in jannah. Since it's not clear who will be my wife in jannah (some say both her and an eventual new wife, some say only the last wife), i dont want to risk losing her one more time. And I'm really not interested in marrying again (and I actually promised it to her many years ago, although of course we didnt expect the death of one of us to happen so soon).

But this comes at the price that I'll never experience intimacy again. And at the peak of my adult youth, plus with the widowhood effect, boy it burns hard. And I live in downtown, with a good financial situation, which means finding worldly joys is too easy and inviting.

I've read a hadith on which the Prophet recommends fasting but this is conflicting to my current situation, since I'm barely eating and it's hard to stay hydrated. So, fasting at this point would go against everything my therapist wants me to do. And, for sure, I feel it's too unfair if everybody else releases this energy with intimacy, whereas I'll fast for life.

What are the ways to cope with celibacy? What are the thoughts on the self work (I'm really sorry if this sounds inappropriate)?

Question/Discussion ❔ In terms of geopolitical issues involving Arab and Muslim nations, do you generally have the same opinions as Salafist types such as Daniel Haqiqajou and Mohammed Hijab?

• Upvotes

I often wonder if different interpretations of Islam also lead to fundamentally different views of how to resolve current crisis involving OIC nations and the countries that surround them. And yes, I realize Haqiqajou and Hijab are not technically Salafists, however they have the essentials of Salafist thinking when it comes to Islamic interpretations.

In the Middle East, when it comes to how to resolve issues, for example, with who is most ideal suited to govern Lebanon, whether Hezbollah or a vastly more liberal coalition of Sunnis, Maronite Catholics, Shia, Druze and others, how to resolve clashes between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, whether or not Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas and similar proxies are worthy of support and so on. And of course the ubiquitous issues such as what kind of stance the US and other nations should take on Palestine-Israel-Iran-Lebanon and if ideally it should be in favor of any side or rather prioritizing humanitarianism and all forms of militarism.

Same when it comes to how to resolve issues such as the India - Pakistan - Kashmir disputes, what are the main causes behind the severe unrest with regards to immigrants of North African descent in France and Italy and so on.

HaqiqaJou, Mohammed Hijab and others have self evident views on all of these. In that they are inherently highly anti Western, prioritize pan Islamic priorities above all else, want Israel as well as Kashmir and other contested regions to be strictly Islamic and believe any opposition to or condemnation of Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas and others is against any Islamic values.

When it comes to these geopolitical issues, various online information suggests Haqiqajou, Hijab and others more or less speak for 100 % of the world's Muslims. While they may differ on all sorts of theological issues, they are basically a complete monolith when it comes to geopolitical issues. To what extent is this accurate?

Question/Discussion ❔ why do people demonise getting to know your partner BEFORE you get married

I don’t agree that you should be getting married after knowing the person for only 3 months, I saw this in a TikTok video of a person marrying another the same year they met?

Some of the comments said that they were going to fast, and the replies to that are horrible - people saying that ‘why not, people let strangers f them’ and ‘don’t be so western, it’s not good to delay’ and the worst of all is ‘it’s good to get married fast, what if the other person loses interest’

WHAT?? If a person isn’t truly interested in the other, then they’ll lose interest if they’re married or not. That just sounds like you’re trapping them because a person can’t easily back out from a marriage rather than a relationship before marriage.

The unnecessary sexualisation from these reasons also disgusted me, how do Muslims not realise what they say….

God forbid you actually want to know the person before you get married?? Why do so many Muslims want to get married to people they barely know and why do they attack others for disagreeing with it?

Sorry, I don’t want to immediately go into marriage after I’ve been talking with a guy for 3 months….that is risky and is a set up for potential abuse.

It just sounds so predatory and others make me feel insane for objecting to this.

Question/Discussion ❔ Is there any website or similar that teaches Islam in a more progressive way?

Is there any website, YouTube channel, or similar that teaches Islam in a more progressive way? Whenever I study Islam, I always come across homophobic or misogynistic ideas, which, when I research, I find aren't true. Is there anywhere that teaches in a more progressive way? Or an active, progressive online mosque?

Question/Discussion ❔ If the traditional interpretation of Qur’an 4:34 permits a husband to physically discipline his wife as a last resort to preserve the marriage, then what do we make of the wives of Nuh (Noah) and Lut (Lot), who were disbelievers despite being married to prophets?

Did Nuh or Lut ever physically discipline their wives to correct their disbelief or preserve their marriages? If so, is there any Qur’anic evidence or authentic hadith that they did? If not, how should we understand the claim that physical discipline is a permissible means of resolving marital discord?

I personally lean toward the view that daraba in 4:34 does not mean beating, but I want to understand how Muslims reconcile these accounts with the traditional interpretation.

I’m particularly interested in Qur’an-based reasoning, classical tafsir, and how we distinguish what the text explicitly permits from what it actually tells us the prophets did. I know the Quran precedes these. Also if beating preserves the marriage and saves it under traditional interpretation and it is a last resort then where and how would divorce take place which is recommended upon conflicts?

Rant/Vent 🤬 My family are so persistent on me keeping facial hair when I can't even grow a beard

I know it's good to keep a beard in islam, but if I tried to grow a full beard I'd just have a load of bum fluff on my face, and i don't really want to be walking around looking like I don't take care of myself.

i don't think they understand that because everytime I shave and just keep a goatee, they think I'm doing it to pull women or copy kuffar, when in reality it's because it looks smarter than peach fuzz all over my face.

it's irritating me a lot because I get given lectures every week about how a beard is so good and how it makes you look masculine, yeah, but if i cant grow a proper one then what am i meant to do?

Question/Discussion ❔ How to Deal with High Libido NSFW

I(M25) am struggling with my urges they are too strong to handle and too many to resist, I have been like this for almost 3 years and previously I hadn’t have a job I wasn’t busy I thought it was the reason of my urges but it has been a few months I got a job from 8am to 8pm like 12 hours job and I still have strong urges I feel it is has been stronger since I got a job and last ramadan I even couldn’t resist and broke my fast I, I cant handle my prayers properly I feel guilty because I’m unable to handle these urges like I’m facing these urges 24/7 and nothing can stop them I have tried many ways like prayers, adhkar, fasting, I even tried other ways out of islam like self controlling technique such as meditation and keeping my mind busy like reading drawing movies, hobbies at general but nothing work idk these urges are too strong.

And please don’t say get married because I’m unable to do, I have nothing, no car, no house, no saved money I recently got a job with 200$ monthly, and my father cant help because I have 3 older unmarried brother 36, 32, 28 my father is trying to help them not me as he said they are out of age and they need more help compared to me because I’m much younger than them he is saying I have time to wait buy they don’t, so marriage is not an option to act on it at least for the next 3-5 years. I am really stuck and don’t know what to do.

Question/Discussion ❔ Rise of salafism among thr younger generation

Recently, I have seen the rise of lot of young salafi influencers online, and there are a lot of young generation who follow them. Unlike the classical preachers, these people talk about the soft Islamic and a very convincing scientific versions. These ppl openly hate on other sects and is striving for an all salafi world. They are very strict with their women being a niqabi, and usually has stories to tell how they defy their relatives who would like a mix gathering.

What do you think on this? Is this instilling fear going too far?

Question/Discussion ❔ Why Do Scholars Disagree?

there's something I've never fully understood about the different Islamic schools of thought. Scholars sometimes disagree on whether something is halal or haram, so how do we know which ruling is actually correct in Allah's sight? For example, Malikis generally permit eating crab, while Hanafis don't. We follow the same religion, so how can the same thing be halal for one Muslim but haram for another? I'm not asking specifically about crab, but more about how these disagreements work in general. If there's ultimately one truth, how do we know which interpretation is right?

Rant/Vent 🤬 Is it wrong of me to want to wear clothes other than the Abaya?

I have been forced to wear the black abaya and niqab since I was 12 years old by my dad.

I have lost my childhood to this, wasn’t allowed to play sports because it would reveal my face to people, wasn’t allowed to leave home to play with friends. I have hated wearing it, I would wear/ remove the abaya on roads and open taxis (called autos in my country) so I could hide the fact that I wear abaya from my schoolmates.

I am done doing this for the last 16 years of my life, I don’t want to do it anymore. I want to go to the gym, want to play sports, fulfill all my wishes that I had as a kid. I want to learn how to drive a car, do things that my parents think is not fit for a female to do.

They basically think that a woman’s job is to get married and have kids. Nothing else. No gym, no sports, no showing your face to non mahrams (basically men who are not related to you)

I have such low self esteem because of this childhood trauma that I have faced all my life.

Nobody understands me. My mom tells me to adjust, and listen to my dad and whatever he dictates me to do. This has made my mental health so bad.

I just want to escape this, but I can’t. I am stuck in my hometown. How do I confront my dad that I will not wear the abaya? The hijab, I can hide it and remove it when I am away from him, but the abaya requires me to remove it on the streets. So ashamed of myself. Have been ashamed of myself since the last decade, removing abayas on roads.

Question/Discussion ❔ is it bad for muslims to go to church?

this may seem like such a strange question. personally, i don’t particularly feel welcomed at mosques. all my local mosques either have very small sections for women or no sections at all, and it makes me, as a woman, feel less than and unwelcome. also, i adopt some prayer techniques from both typical sunni and shia practices, so no matter which mosque i go to, i don’t feel comfortable praying in front of others and not feeling judged.

i mainly have an interest in visiting churches to listen to priests and preachers. the times i have gone to a mosque and attempted to listen to a sheikh, there never fails to be discussion about hadiths and bordering misogynistic talks.

what is the ruling of visiting churches as a muslim? and is there something i may not be taking into consideration?

Question/Discussion ❔ Why should we respect Scholars

Why are we expected to respect scholars who pushed child Marriage and wife beating and other extreme views.

They made these behaviours systemic, child marriage is overrepresented in muslim countries, thousands of children die yearly due to child birth complications, and others left with chronic conditions.

They say presentism to defend it, but aristotle in 350 bce already recommended 18 due to records of the time showing the pattern of more deaths for younger girls.

Question/Discussion ❔ My parents made a biodata for me

My parents want me to get married, and they recently made a biodata for me. The problem is, I'm worried it doesn't accurately represent who I am.

I'm not very open with my parents about who I am. I've been struggling with my faith lately, and I'm honestly not that religious anymore. I don't want to marry someone who is very religious or tries to impose religion onto me. I want a partner who respects my autonomy and accepts me for who I am.

Another concern is hijab. I took it off about two years ago and don't wear it in my everyday life. However, my parents still haven't fully accepted my decision. I'm still expected to wear it sometimes, and I'm worried they'll insist that I wear it in my biodata pictures, too. I don't want to present myself as someone I'm not, especially when the pictures could attract certain types of men.

The difficult part is that I still live with my parents, and I can't be completely open about who I am. I want to respect my parents, but I also don't want to end up in a marriage where I feel pressured to live according to someone else's expectations.

I do want to date and get married eventually, but I want to do it at my own pace. Honestly, I’m not crazy about marriage right now. I've also never really dated before, so the whole process feels unfamiliar, and I don't know how to navigate it while dealing with my parents' expectations.

For those who've been in a similar situation, how did you handle it? How do you navigate meeting potential partners when your family doesn't fully know or accept who you are? How do you make sure you're attracting someone compatible with your actual beliefs and lifestyle rather than the person your parents want?

Opinion 🤔 Maeda 116-Anam 6

Maeda 116-118

116- AND AS ALLAH SAID: “O JESUS THE SON OF MARY, DID YOU SAY TO PEOPLE: TAKE ME AND MY MOTHER FOR TWO GODS INSTEAD OF ALLAH?  HE SAID: “PRAISE BE TO YOU, I WOULD NOT HAVE SAID WHAT IS NOT TRUE, HAVE IS SAID IT, YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN IT, YOU KNOW WHAT IS INSIDE ME AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS INSIDE YOU, AND YOU KNOW ALL THAT IS HIDDEN”

117- “I SAID TO THEM WHAT YOU COMMANDED ME TO SAY; THAT IS TO WORSHIP ALLAH MY LORD AND YOUR LORD, AND I WAS A WITNESS OVER THEM WHILE IS WAS WITH THEM, AND AFTER YOU CAUSED ME TO DIE, YOU BECAME THE ONE WHO WATCHES OVER THEM, FOR YOU ARE A WITNESS OVER ALL THINGS.

118- IF YOU PUNISH THEM, THEY ARE BUT YOUR SLAVES, AND IF YOU FOR GIVE THEM, INDEED YOU ARE THE MOST EXALTED AND MOST WISE.

Such narration of a dialogue in the Quran does not mean that Allah the Highest was enquiring from Jesus peace upon him as to whether he said what he is supposed to have said or not.  It is to state the Allah’s anger about what people said and claimed about Jesus peace upon him, and to spell out what Jesus feels about it.

Jesus peace upon him denies that he had any thing to do with his followers taking him and his mother Mary as gods instead of Allah the Highest.  Like all other prophets and messengers, their job was to deliver the message and nothing more, and this is what they did, and Allah the Highest is a witness over that.

Then Jesus peace upon him shows his submission to Allah’s will, whether He punishes his followers or forgives the, Jesus accepts his will.

This Ayah “IF YOU PUNISH THEM, THEY ARE BUT YOUR SLAVES, AND IF YOU FOR GIVE THEM, INDEED YOU ARE THE MOST EXALTED AND MOST WISE” used to move Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him to tear.  Abd Allah Ibn Amro said: “The prophet recited “IF YOU PUNISH THEM, THEY ARE BUT YOUR SLAVES, AND IF YOU FOR GIVE THEM, INDEED YOU ARE THE MOST EXALTED AND MOST WISE” then he raised his hands and said: “My God, my nation”, then he wept.  Allah said: “Gabriel, go to Mohamed and ask him- and His Lord know- what is making you weep?”  Gabriel did that and Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him told him.  Allah the Highest said to him: “Go to Mohamed and say: ‘Concerning your nation, we will please you and will not upset you”.  (Muslim)

Abu Zar said: “On night Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him kept praying and reciting the Ayah “IF YOU PUNISH THEM, THEY ARE BUT YOUR SLAVES, AND IF YOU FOR GIVE THEM, INDEED YOU ARE THE MOST EXALTED AND MOST WISE”.  In the morning I said to him: “Allah’s messenger, you kept praying using this Ayah?  He said: “I asked Allah the Most Exalted and the Majestic things for my nation, and He granted them, and it will be for every one who does not worship a partner besides Allah”.  (Ahmed & Nesae)

Maeda 119-120 (End of Sorah)

119- ALLAH SAID: THIS IS A DAY WHEN THE TRUTHFUL WILL BENEFIT FROM TRUTHFULNESS, THEY WILL HAVE GARDENS WITH RIVERS FLOWING UNDERNEATH, LIVING THERE FOR ETERNITY, ALLAH WILL BE PLEASED WITH THEM, AND THEY WILL BE PLEASED WITH ALLAH, SUCH IS THE GREATEST SUCCESS.

120- TO ALLAH BELONGS THE KINGDOM OF THE HEAVENS AND EARTH AND THERE IS IN THEM, AND IS ABLE OVER EVERYTHING.

The truthful does not always benefit from being truthful in this life.  A man might speak the truth before an unjust leader and for this he gets killed or imprisoned.  Or an employee might be able to save his job if he lies, yet speaking the truth makes him loose his job.

One might suffer because of supporting a just cause or defending the oppressed or unjustly treated person or people.

Being true in faith, can be difficult sometimes as there are often many opponents and there are times when this is not pleasing to every one.  People of the same faith might see the true in faith to be wrong or even not a true believer.  Yet holding to one’s true faith, might be like holding a piece of fire, as Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said.

The only time and place when being truthful is certainly rewarding, is the Hereafter, and when the faithful faces judgement.  Allah the Highest loves the truth and loves to hear it from His truthful slaves.  Then, they will be rewarded for their truthfulness, and they will be rewarded for it by Allah the Most Generous.  The reward is the Paradise, where those Allah is pleased with will abide forever.

Allah the Highest ends Sorat Al-Maeda with the reminder that All the Heavens and Earth and every thing in them are His, and that He is able over all things and to do all thing.  He can and will deliver what is promised.

Sorat Al-Maeda is believed to be the last Sorah of the Quran to be sent down.  Therefore it includes many of the Last Ayahs to be sent down.  It was sent down in Medina; therefore it contains many rules and laws to regulate the Muslims lives, which was not possible when they were few and oppressed in Makah.  We ask Allah the Highest to guide us with it and to let it be light in our graves and on the Day or Resurrection.

Al-Anam

(The Cattle)

This Sorah consists of 165 Ayahs, it was sent down in Makkah before the migration of Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him, and it was sent in one piece.

It is reported in a number of Hadith that it was sent down accompanied by a large number of Angels.  Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him, said: “Sorat Al-Anam was sent down in one piece, and it was accompanied by 70 thousand angels, with their sounds heard hymning praising and glorifying God”.  (Ibn Mardwiah)

Anam 1-3

1-PRAISE AND THANKS TO ALLAH WHO CREATED THE HEAVENS AND EARTH, AND MADE THE DARKNESS AND THE LIGHT, THEN THE DISBELIEVERS TAKE EQUALS WITH THEIR LORD

2-HE IS THE ONE WHO CREATED YOU FROM CLAY, AND DECREED A TERM, AND AN APPOINTED TERM WITH HIM, THEN YOU DOUBT

3-HE IS ALLAH IN THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH, HE KNOWS WHAT YOU KEEP FOR SECRETS AND WHAT YOU REVEAL, AND KNOWS ALL YOUR DEEDS

Allah the Highest is starting the Sorah by telling us that Praise and Thanks are due to him.  The thanks are associated with praise.  We thank Allah the Highest for all that is given to us, and praise him for He is worthy and for the magnitude and magnificence of his creation.

Allah the Highest is rebuking the disbelievers for taking equals with Allah the Highest who did not create any thing like Him.  Allah the Highest sent us prophets, messengers and books, none of the others people claim to be gods, sent prophets, messengers or books.

Allah the Highest tells us that He created the heavens and earth and all there is in them, and no others claim that they created the heavens and earth and all there is in them.

Allah the Highest let there be Darkness and Light.  Darkness is mentioned before the light.  It is interesting that the universe is mainly dark and only the stars are light, but the vast majority of the universe is dark.  How could those Allah the Highest created, respond to all this by worshiping statues and human beings.

“ONE WHO CREATED YOU FROM CLAY” Allah the Highest created us from clay.  This is scientific; for we are consist of the elements present in earth, which form the clay.  None of the other gods people worship claim that they created man or life on Earth.

Allah the Highest decrees a date for every being to die, which no one can change, and there is another date with Him for the whole creation, which is the Day of Resurrection.  This date is only known to Allah the Highest and no one else, even prophets, messengers or angels.  When Gabriel, peace upon him, went to Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him, in the mosque in the form of a man he asked him about the Day of Resurrection, to which Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him, answered: “He who is being asked does not know about it more than the one who asks”

“HE IS ALLAH IN THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH, HE KNOWS WHAT YOU KEEP FOR SECRETS AND WHAT YOU REVEAL, AND KNOWS ALL YOUR DEEDS”

Allah the Highest is not the God in one place, and not the other, He is the God, Lord and Creator of all the Heavens and Earth and all there is in it.

Allah the Highest knows every thing we do, and every thing that happened and happens and will happen in the Heavens and Earth He has total control over.  Allah the Highest said: “THERE IS NOT AN ATOM IN THE EARTH OR HEAVENS THAT YOUR LORD IS UNAWARE OF”.  (S: 10 A: 61)

This  as well as knowing what we hide and what we reveal, even what we think to ourselves, Allah the Highest said about himself: “HE KNOWS YOUR SECRET GAZING OF THE EYE, AND WHAT YOUR CHESTS CONCEAL”.  (S: 40 A: 19)

Such creation and knowledge was never claimed by a human being, even prophets and messengers, peace upon them all.

These are the characters of the God we should worship and obey, and we should not worship or obey any other.

Anam 4-6

4- AND WHENEVER AN AYAH OR SIGN OF YOUR LORD COMES TO THEM, THEY TURN AWAY FROM IT.

5- THEY REJECT THE TRUTH WHEN IT CAME TO THEM; THEN THERE WILL COME TO THEM THE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WHAT THEY WERE JESTING ABOUT.

6- DID THEY NOT SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE DID WE DESTROY?  WE GAVE THEM MORE POWER ON EARTH MORE THAN WE GAVE YOU, AND WE SENT PLENTY OF RAIN FROM THE HEAVEN UPON THEM, AND WE LET THERE BE RIVERS RUNNING UNDERNEATH THEM, BUT WE DESTROYED THEM BECAUSE OF THEIR SINS, AND WE CREATED OTHER PEOPLE AFTER THEM.

This is about the disbelievers every where and at all the times.  Allah the Highest sends them Ayahs of his book and signs of His presence.  The Ayahs of the book are to guide them and as signs of Allah’s presence, and other signs in the Heavens and Earth and miracles from Allah the Highest.

The times of the miracles and signs are not over, and never will be, Allah willing.  We are discovering something new about our selves, the Earth and the Universe every day, which should be further proof for the Allah, the Creator.

Also we find more signs in the Quran.  As we study the Quran, we find Allah the Highest telling us scientific facts which were not known 1400 years, not even 50 years ago.  Allah who wrote the Quran obviously knew them, and as it was not known to a human being, then the Quran could not have been written by a human being.  It is because Allah the Highest wrote the Quran and put these signs in as evidence of its authenticity hundreds and thousands of years later.  I will mention a couple of these signs:

  1. “THE SKY, WE BUILT WITH OUR HANDS, AND WE ARE EXPANDING IT”  (S:51 A:47)

It has been found recently that all the stars, galaxies and planets are moving away from each other, and the universe is expanding.  These are facts upon which the theory of “Big Bang” is based.  This theory says that the universe started from the explosion of a mass of matter some 15 Billion years ago, and all the stars and galaxies and planets are still moving by the momentum of this explosion.

  1. “AND THE LAND WHICH HAS CRACK”  (S:86 A:12)

We recently knew that the earth consist of a crust which is solid and underneath this crust there is very hot melting core.  The solid crust we live on is not one piece, but it is cracked into a number of pieces we call plates.  The movement of these plates against each other leads to earth quacks.  Towns and cities built on or near these cracks, like Los Anglos experience more earth quacks than most.

These geological facts were  certainly not known 1400 years ago, and it’s presence in the Quran is a sign and evidence that the Quran was not written by a human being, but be the Creator of all beings.

There are many such examples in the Quran, but this is not the place to write about them all.  I gave two examples just to explain the point.

Allah the Highest is telling the disbelievers that as they rejected the truth which came to them, then they know about it for sure, but at a time when it is too late for them to do themselves any good, that is on the Day of Resurrection.  Allah the Highest described the state of the disbelievers on that day saying: “THE DAY WHEN THE UNJUST WILL BITE HIS HAND AND SAY: ‘I WISH I WENT ALONG WITH THE MESSENGER’”.  (S:25 A:27)

Then another warning, that is to take head of the past nations who had power.  They left behind them great buildings and evidence of their  power and ability on Earth, but as they did not believe and continued in doing wrong, they were destroyed and their powers did not help them, to be replaced by others.

This warning is for us, the inhabitants of the planet Earth at present.  Many nations enjoy great powers, abilities and technology.  This makes some feel that there is no God , or that He has no power over them.  It is interesting that there also great interest in history and archeology at present.  We learn more about the past than we ever learned in the past.  This new knowledge of the past we seem to take as interesting or as a subject to study, but we do not take lessons from, and we do not take heed from what happened to other nations in the past.

History is the best predictor of the future.  We know this and apply it to our lives.  One buys a particular make of car or television because they have good history of being good and durable, so when we buy one, we expect it to beerer good and last a long time.  This means that we learn from the past and expect the same to happen in the future.

Allah the Highest is directing us to look at the past and see what happened to other nations and learn from them and take heed, but do we?
