Visiting from Canada??
To get straight to the point, I am a black male born and raised in Canada and I am curious how would native Polish people would feel about me coming to visit for vacation??
I won’t sugarcoat things and I believe I understand how most people in Poland feel about immigration and/or minorities in general but I would like to visit one day if I would be a welcomed guest.
No hard feelings if so but would like honest answers.

Another residency permit question
Hi all,
I've been wondering how Uber/Bolt drivers get their TRP approved/extended. As I know, many make below minimum wage and it's difficult to consistently meet it.
A few questions:
1) Is there anyone who was able to obtain a TRP even if they had months they made below minimum wage?
2) When submitting your contract as proof of work, does it need to state that you make at least minimum wage? I don't understand how you can state that if you don't have consistent income.
3) Those who have applied for permanent stay, has inconsistent earnings affected your decision?
I would also appreciate comments from those who have other professions and have had down months and how it affected their TRP.

Where do you work, live and how did you find ur job?
I feel Like I'm in a freaking matrix sometimes. I'm reading od Reddit od Facebook groups many, many posts about people that works in corporations or getting Like 10-15k PLN monthly. Also many asks Like "how can you live earning 7-8k monthly?" When i'm working on production for a little bit more than the lowest pay. Even 90% of people that I know works on production, as a cashier or on construction. I didnt start college cause i had to work, but almost everyone of my high school class works in the same type of work as mentioned before. I dont mean I'm any special etc but i feel I can do much more, i Like to work hard if the payout is good, I can take responsibility for my job, tried to get better work many times but there is even no such places to get a job around my city (~16k population). Same was while i was living in ~30k city pretty close to Poznań. Everyone i knew out there was working as a blue collar, cashier etc. Does anyone else experience dissonance with this like I do?

Finding housing with a pet rabbit
Dobry wieczór,
Next year I'm going to study in Poland (either in Krakow or Wroclaw). I attend intensive Polish lessons and will probably study in Polish. Ik it's a hard language but I'm Bulgarian so shared Slavic grammar makes it easier.
My problem it's that I have a bunny and I can't imagine going abroad without taking her with me. Do you think it's possible to find a flatmate and a landlord who are ok with a pet rabbit? I'm ok with a studio too but my budget is around 800€ a month for the rent including bills ~ 3500 zł so idk if it's possible to find something with this price even though communist blocks and outer districts don't scare me off.

Part-time job in Gdańsk and Rzeszów.
Good day
I am an international student who recently got here to study for nursing at PWS. But due to low student numbers. The university is planning to shift us to another university in Rzeszów or fix the matter. I recently payed for 1 month rent in Gdańsk. And even though my parents are funding for university fee and accommodation too. I want to also help in paying for my accommodation and my needs too. I dont know where to look for a part time job. I'm wondering if you can help me look for one or assist me in apps or websites to look for a part job. I cant work full time cos that will cause problems due to having student visa . Only part time job .

Looking for a classic car restoration shop in Poland – Mazda RX-7 FB (1980)
Hi everyone!
I’m not sure this question is allowed in here, so mods please delete if necessary.
I’m looking for a reliable classic car restoration shop in Poland that can handle rust repairs, welding, bodywork and a full respray on my 1980 Mazda RX-7 FB.
Most shops I’ve found specialize in German classics. Since Japanese cars from the 1980s have somewhat different construction methods(thin steel), I’m unsure whether these would be a good fit.
I can deliver the car as a rolling chassis, and I’m in absolutely no rush. Quality matters much more to me than speed.
I’ve contacted several body shops here in Belgium, but very few still work on classic cars. Those that do often quote more than three times the car’s actual value.
The car has sentimental value, so I’m definitely not looking for the cheapest option, but the cost still needs to be somewhat reasonable.
I also have family living in southern Poland who speak Polish and could help with communication if needed. Unfortunately, I don’t speak the language myself.
Thanks in advance!

Why do software engineers earn so much compared to other engineers?
Cześć! first time posting here so I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask this sort of question.
I am french-canadian, currently studying in software engineering and I'm thinking of switching to mechanical engineering. Since I plan on eventually moving to Poland, I did a bit of research on polish salaries I noticed a huge difference between the monthly salaries for a junior software engineer (7,750 to 14,000 PLN) and mechanical engineer (4,500 to 7,000 PLN). Now, I understand that polish salaries are going to be lower than canadian ones since the cost of life is also lower, but why is there this much difference between these two jobs? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that someone with a bachelor's earns below the national average.
If I come off as snobbish or pretentious I'm really sorry, that's not my intention. I love Poland, and I would really like to work there someday. I just went back to school because I don't want to worry about money anymore.

I’m a foreigner, living in Poland for over 5 years now however soon I’m going with my partner to a wedding and I want to make sure I know the culture
I was thinking to wear a regular black suit with white shirt and burgundy/mid blue krawat or maybe a butterfly tie is better? I’m 29 years old
What are the dos and don’t?
Thank You!
