Random photo cause I haven't taken any new ones.
Gubba went to the vet today! Seems that nothing is wrong, just a little guy. 26g. We all agreed he is not a year old, but no way to tell.
He did take a poopy, so we were able to get that tested, no parasites or anything like that! Only thing is that he hated it and hates being handled, but no surprise there.
Peed on mama when we got home. I will say that I think I messed up by feeding him after transferring to his tank, he had trouble getting the last one down and we (me and my mother) thought he was going to try and regurgitate again (he's tried to do so in the past) so I'm monitoring him to make sure he is okay. Turned the lights out early just because it was a stressful day for him, please let me know if I should not do so though!
The vet did recommend to use UVB at 5.0, but I did look through the stickied post here and saw albino is recommended for 0.5, so I'm not sure which "level" I should get.

I’m well experienced with lizards, but have never cared for an amphibian before. How will my new Pac-Man frog act? 2 days ago when I first got him, he’s only struck for food once, and has made no other attempts to eat since. Is this normal? He’s also stayed in the same exact spot almost constantly.

I have a pac man frog that has been an every other day eater. This past week they have stopped wanting food. I have been digging him up every 2-3 days trying to feed him.
Assuming they are around 4-5 months age.
Tank Temp 81-83 degrees
70-80% humidity with twice a day misting
Currently feeding night crawlers.
Have not tried any other feed.
I have him in a bath in his enclosure in 80 degree water currently.
Any advice is welcome. His water is dirty from digging him up. It was fresh and treated with the reptile safe drops.

Curious if anyone has noticed any croaking patterns with their males. My little guy for the longest time would croak once a month (almost to the day) three times, then shut up until the next month. Now it's more frequent (every few days) but still only 3-4 croaks at a time! I can't get him to croak along to sounds or respond to me croaking at him either. He seems very intentional and sparing with his words...I love hearing him tho and would love for him to speak up more often.
frog pic tax for engagement, this is Bingus my chud son

l need to know if this guy has red leg syndrome, or if it’s natural coloring, he is a very young red coffee Pacman frog and also has some odd coloring on his sides aswell
I can’t post this with the tag NSFW, as my account doesn’t allow me to view NSFW posts (even my own)

I have had my Pac-Man frog for about 2 years and she lives in a 10 gallon tank, mostly eats Dubia roaches, I mist her 3 times a day. during these few weeks I saw that two symmetrical pinkish lines are connected from her eyes to her mouth has appeared, and she is still active but I am not sure if it is something I should be worried about. The first picture is from a year ago the second on was from today, I lost an old frog a few years ago from red leg, so I don’t know if this a another symptom of red leg, if anyone knows anything please tell me and I would really appreciate it. Thank you 🙏

I gave him a little worm as a treat and a few minutes later he jumped out of his hole and came up to the glass…. AM I NEXT?!

Georgie has somehow managed to get both ends of the worm in his mouth and it looks like he's eating a little onion ring or calamari!!! so cute!

He doesn’t go to his water dish, or ever walk around or anything, I can tell as the ground is the same and at night he doesn’t either?

i’m taking my frog Burger to the vet tomorrow because his appetite has decreased recently. i know it might be because he’s brumating soon but i want to make sure
he’s never been to the vet before and so i don’t really know how to go about doing it. i was thinking of buying one of those plastic containers for bugs, but a lot bigger? should there be substrate in it or just a wet paper towel?
he also gets very stressed outside his tank. when i tried putting him in a separate box for feeding, he’d jump around and piss everywhere. is there any way to calm him down or make him feel less stressed?

boogalicious has PINWORMS. my BOY is FULL of the BAD worms… (picture from his last feed) i felt so MEAN only having an inch of dirt for the past week so i could more easily collect his poop, but now?? the poor thing has to be treated for parasites :’(
(very incredibly glad i got the stool sample in tho!!)
i’ll be treating Noki too, jic, but if he DOES have the bad worms, i doubt he’s got as bad a case as boog, considering he’s 1. almost concerningly voracious 2. actively putting on weight
how would y’all recommend going about an easy to clean tank to prevent possible reinfection?? wet paper towel sub? or just thinner dirt with a deep clean every week??
i’m considering starting the meds, and after the 1st day, moving him to a large (temp) plastic tub so i can take time sanitizing his full tank/amenities
i’m lost, and i just want the best for my son. please help!!

Lime’s tank is starting to get gnats! 😩 Anyone else have this problem…? I’ve tried putting apple cider vinegar outside of the tank, but I’m worried there’s larvae in the soil. Has anyone tried buying predatory mites…? If so, do these bother your frog? I know they’re beneficial when it comes to eating the larvae.. I just don’t want them to hurt Lime or my isopods/springtails.

I just got goop about three days ago! She hasnt since ive gotten her and shes a juvenile so she typically should be eating more often. Im just stressed about her because shes my first amphibian and id wanted a pacman frog for over 3 months now. Should i dig her up, soak her and try to feed? Or just leave her alone until she comes out on her own? (Goops too young to tell the gender so sort of manifesting shes a girl, if not ill be happy either way :))
