Arcteryx raincoats
I’m deciding between the beta, the beta sl and the beta ar any recommendations? They’re expensive so i want to make sure im giving it the absolute most use i can out of it.
I want a rain jacket for the BC weather, hiking and outdoor walks. Would be nice to be able to use in the snow but it’s not an absolute requirement.
Also colours… any experience with the lighter colours? do they get dirty quickly?

DWR not working anymore
The DWR in my gorewear c5 goretex gloves doesn’t work anymore. The gloves are only a few days old but after a heavy rain the DWR doesn’t bead water anymore and the outer layer soaks it up. Any way to fix this? Thanks in advance

Gloves that are warm but dexterous?
So I’m a preschool teacher at a “nature school” in an alpine environment at almost 10,000 feet; we try to spend at least 5 hours a day outside, rain, shine, or snow. We only head inside if it dips below 10°F.
I’ve tried out a handful of different gloves but none seem to function as well as I need them to; I find myself either with freezing fingertips or having to take off the gloves every 2 minutes. I also have poor circulation and so my extremities tend to run cold. I need gloves that are truly warm and waterproof, but allow me to use my hands for the many fine-motor tasks that come with teaching 4-year olds (ie zipping up coats, fixing hats/hair, tying shoes, wiping noses, and ideally using my phone.)
Would appreciate any solid recommendations!

Winter gear recommendations?
I live in the prairies in rural Canada and it gets to be -45 to -50 some days. I'm trying to keep up with my daily walking and usually walk for 1-2 hours at a time.
Its hard to keep up in winter, so I'm looking for some gear recommendations to stay warm! I'm low income but willing to spend a medium amount on things that works. Good and warm shoes are highest priority, as well as socks and thermals. Anything else I'd love recommendations for as well!

Used down wash on synthetic sleeping bag (was the only one I had). Did I mess up, or is that fine
Thought I had my tech wash, but I couldn't find it. Didn't have any laundry soap either, so just used my down wash. Is this ok, or did I mess up?

Title: Arc’teryx Beta SL for free or a Beta AR for $180?
Yao
Due to some issues with the original jacket, including some defects, I have the opportunity to get an Arc’teryx Beta SL completely for free, with no extra costs. Alternatively, I can upgrade to a Beta AR for an additional $180.
I live in Denmark, where I camp in all kinds of weather throughout the year. I also occasionally go to Norway, where I hike in different environments, from forests to mountains, in all four seasons. I basically just want a jacket that can handle whatever conditions I throw at it.
I’m trying to figure out whether the Beta AR would be worth the extra $180 for my use case, or if I should just stick with the free Beta SL.
What ya think?

Plus size rain gear
Me and my fiancé are going to Scotland in a week. She needs a rain coat but she’s on the heavier size. Does anyone know any brands that really good plus size options?

Glove recommendations
Hello,
I'm looking for layer gloves for my sister. I live my Black diamond softshell gloves, but due to her being a size 5, they don't fit her. Finding anything similar in the kids section seems to be impossible, unfortunately, I've been looking for weeks now.
If anything has an idea for a glove that's windproof, breathable and good for temperatures -10 - 0°C or 15-30°F I'd be very thankful. It doesn't need to be waterproof as she can put shell mittens over top.
Thank you all.

Ultralight tent recommendation?
I have been looking for an affordable ultralight tent for backpacking. A tent that could hold up to some wind, good and strong, but also lightweight. I know the criteria is quite a lot for an affordable tent but just looking to see if anyone has recommendations. I’ve been looking at the lanshan 1, watched a lot of videos and I think this is the right one for me. The OG lanshan 1 not the pro version (I don’t want to have to worry about condensation, and it’s worth it for the extra 0.2 pounds). Anyone have better recommendations over the lanshan 1 tent?
