After a month off, it was great to get back into the groove and, honestly, this one couldn't have gone better! Everyone was very chill and we had a good number of new faces. It was nice to just hang out, chat, and mingle. We always appreciate everyones ability to just go with the flow and vibe together!
We continue posting some unedited photos, when given permission, just as a way to share more about our group.
I will post about the next meet in a week or so. Again, we are moving around to all days of the week to give everyone a chance to join us.
As always, I did want to comment for anyone that may be on the fence about attending, for whatever reason. Please feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to alleviate any concerns that you may have. We aim to provide a very chill, laid back environment. I'm a very anxious person myself and often need a pep talk, haha. We want you to join us and push past anything that may holding you back. We believe that you will be glad you came.
Those who attended PLEASE feel free to share your experiences in the comment section! We'd love to hear yall's stories.
With that said: SEE YOU ALL IN THE NEXT POST AND EVENT!!

I compiled a document focused on free community meetups (free things you can do while meeting people)
for that reason, I havent included many (if any) solo free things to do (such as going to parks or libraries) since this list is supposed to be community-building-oriented
uf you have things to add please lmk and I will get to it when I can!
The list is long so it is in Docs form

Yesterday I was bummed out to see the dynamic pricing indicators at the 11120 NW Rockwell Avenue location.
Any Winco Foods employees here? Will dynamic pricing eventually come to Winco Foods?
I know some of you got some good pics this morning. Show me what you got.

I am just curious if anyone has any tips or tricks when trying to get hired on at Tinker. I am 39 year old male (40 in December) with my bachelors degree. I have tried to apply numerous times over the years, but have never even gotten a call back. I am really hoping to get some advice on how to get my foot in the door and work for the federal government for a good 20-25 years before I retire. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My spouse and I were given two free Wild Encounter tickets to the OKC zoo. Anyone have experience with these that can tell me which option was most worthwhile?

Hello!
I am looking for a good endo in OKC! I used to see Lacey Campbell and loved her but she left the practice I go to and they gave me a new lady but she changed my pump settings and I’ve had the worst few weeks of my diabetes ever with really dangerous lows and it’s really hard to get a hold of their office.
Hopefully someone has a good recommendation!!

Did anyone else hear a loud noise around the NW Expressway/County Line area at around 8:15-8:18 p.m.? I heard a loud noise, almost sounding like an explosion. My dad called me and he asked if I heard it and I said yes, and he said he did too and that his house was shaking a little bit. I didn’t feel any shaking from where I live, but I did hear it—and it was loud. At first I thought “maybe it was a dumpster hitting the ground,” but then I realized that it is past 8 p.m., so no trucks should be out picking up the large metal dumpsters. This was not the sound of the plastic ones we have.
Any guesses? I haven’t been able to find anything on the news or in other community chats, so I’m sure it wasn’t anything serious.
EDIT: Not 100% sure but someone on my Ring app said it was potentially a firework because they saw a smoke cloud drifting from where a party was going on. I’ve personally never heard a firework that loud before, nor has one ever shaken my or my parents’ house.

Need some moving boxes for an unfortunate move out of a home we have lived in for 5 years. Does anyone have extra moving boxes?

I found these turkeys walking around Oklahoma City this morning. I don’t know if this posted all three of my photos, but here’s a picture of at least one of the turkeys.

That's all. I miss them. My wife and I took a drive during fall break. We went on the Talimina Drive and on into Arkansas. We ended up in Beebe Arkansas at the only brick and mortar Shorty Smalls. It was as good as I remembered. Wish they would come back our way. Anyone else?

Doesn’t have to be in OKC specifically, just preferable. And pretty cheap too? Like ranging 40-90, I’m a little broke lol
I’ve been wanting a septum piercing for a while and I’ve shown some interest in 23rd Street Body Piercing but I’ve seen a few bad reviews about them piercing through the cartilage instead of the actual sweet spot…
Can anyone give me some recommendations?

I am thinking about getting my mom vocal lessons for Christmas. Anyone have suggestions on vocal coaches? She is in OKC on the north west side, she used to do 1 on 1 lessons as a kid, but doesn't mind group classes. She is a pretty good singer but certainly still amateur. I really dont want to Whiplash her or anything. She is a teacher so it has to be open in the evening or weekends. I'm not sure what other questions to ask about a vocal coach lol

The left is our highest bill we ever paid with Norman utilities for our water bill, and the left is our current water bill with OKC. Our average in Norman was like $80 typically.
We just moved over here 2 months ago, and we don't do anything different with our water use than we did when we were in Norman.
Does OKC just have way higher base prices??

Does anyone in the metro area provide private lessons or classes for French? Preparing for a trip in 2027 and while I've heard good things about OCCC and UCO, I'm curious about other options in the city.

Non smoking places ideally. Would love to watch the games amongst other WNBA fans. Bar, brewery, pub, anything as long as no smoking.

Any of y’all have recommendations or know of belly dance classes in OKC? Would like to start again after 20 years.

Anyone know why a med flight helicopter landed in the Lowes parking lot off N May and 36? They had the whole fire department out there too.

I haven’t been to the cowboy hall of fame since I was a little kid. Don’t remember anything about it. This weekend I’m single dadding it, and figure it would be a good time to go take the toddler to a museum that we wouldnt normally go to with the wife. Does it get very busy/crowded/loud on the weekends?
