Not gonna feel bad about Giannis, dude had the choice to play with Tatum or Antman but bro chose Bam Adebayo as his co star.

The heat are prolly gonna be better as the rest of the season goes on, however it baffles my mind how Giannis thought that playing without a legit shot creator would result in him playing for a contender. Bam Adebayo is close to a top 30 player than he is a top 20 player and even though his defense is elite, his offensive output is not reliable enough for a consistent run. The heat literally look like last szn's bucks so idk how Giannis thought this would be the right move, unless he just wants to live in Miami.

Boogie Cousins "The analytics nerds aren't even allowed at the park but now they decide what greatness looks like. Coaches are now coaching from a piece of paper, they don't consider things like momentum or hot hands: if a guy makes 3 straight shots they sub him out anyway because analytics says so"

Boogie doesn't seems to be a great fan of analytics.

Has the Jokic/Murray two man game run it's course?

It seems like the top teams in the west like the Thunder and Wolves with physical athletic defenders seem to overwhelm both of them. Teams seem to have sag off Jokic to let him shoot the three ball instead of letting him get in the paint and Jamal seems to struggle against physical defenders he can't get past against. Has the formula been figured out how to defend them?

Yaxel Lendeborg 18 PTS 13 REBS 6 ASTS 3 STLS on 4-11 FG and 9-12 FT

He’s capable of better shooting, but still, he’s looking like one of the few bright spots on the Warriors this season. He also started playing basketball late in his senior year of high school, so he likely hasn’t reached his ceiling yet despite age.

Fuck Bezos or whoever it is that runs Amazon now but man it’s miles ahead of ESPN and Peacock. Still love the Inside the NBA crew though

[Giannotto] Antetokounmpo had an intriguing response while discussing his future and the move to Miami. "I want when this chapter is over, if I'm only going to be here a year or two, whatever it's going to be, I want to leave my mark," Antetokounmpo said.

The Heat traded Herro, Jaquez, Ware, Jakučionis, and multiple 1sts for a potential one-year rental if Giannis decides to walk this summer. It is not the first time a superstar leaves a team in free agency a year after from being traded, like Dwight Howard leaving the Lakers.

Should Miami fans be worried?

Do you think the Warriors will even make the play-ins?

Their team is really bad I don’t think they will, they’ll probably finish with like 30 wins maximum. Since Porzingis is out they don’t have any decent big men so teams score in the paint at will. Draymond is washed, Podz is average, Yaxel is only a rookie, Butler will probably be washed. Curry will have to carry them hard in order to get wins. They couldn’t even beat a rebuilding Grizzlies team, got destroyed by the Lakers.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green BOTH Agree That LaMelo Ball Did NOT Travel: "I saw the referee page tweeted that this is a travel... Steph Curry was saying like yo by rule, it ain't a travel. And I must say I agree with Steph Curry... But it's the fucking NBA. NBA don't call travel."

LaMelo Ball got away with the travel of the century. Uh so it was interesting because the one thing that I've been told about this traveling stuff is like until a guy brings his second hand to the ball it's technically not considered a gather and because it's not considered a gather yet you could move like that you could move side to side as long as you don't bring the second hand to the ball.

I saw the referee page tweeted that this is a travel but by their rule I'm looking at it and once he bring the second hand he one two and he's up. Steph Curry was saying like yo by rules it ain't a travel. And I must say I agree with Steph Curry.

He never gathers he never brings the second hand when he does he starts to rise up and shoot one two. I don't think it's right like and and and in any basketball world outside the NBA it is a travel except the NBA don't have the same rules as all the basketball leagues.

The NBA if I fall down with the ball I can stand up. In other basketball leagues that's a travel. But if I fall down with the ball I can actually stand up. So I don't really know that I I agree that this is a travel. In theory yes. But in the NBA we really need the other angle to see when that left hand actually gets to the ball.

But it looked like he won two. He maybe took one extra one after the hand got to the ball. But it's the fucking NBA. NBA don't call travel. So one extra step is why everybody going to go crazy on a travel. Guys do that running through the lane all the time where they take an extra step or two and travels don't get called. So I don't know why this one or maybe he took a half a step extra or a step extra. That ain't getting called in NBA unless it's off the catch and then go. Off the dribble off the move that ain't getting called. So I don't know man I think that's an interesting one. But I don't think it's a travel. I see why the referees did

[Windhorst] NBA executive believes that Milwaukee’s alleged deal with Trent Jr. is “more egregious” than what LA did: “Over these last two years as they were trying to hang onto Giannis Antetokounmpo they got flexibility to put into the roster. This is comparable to what happened with Joe Smith.”

What bad team this year is gonna start off with a great record, cause a ton of overreaction, and end up in the lottery?

Last year, after 2.5 weeks of the season the Bulls were the 1 seed in the east with a 6-1 record. 1 month later they were 9-12 and 12th in the East.

It was fun hearing people overreact to their hot start. What shit teams are gonna start off on a heater this year and end up in the lottery??

My guess is the Hawks.

Yaxel Lendeborg in the loss against the Memphis Grizzlies: 18 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 6 turnovers on 4-11 FG | 1-3 3PT | 9-12 FT | 37 MIN

ESPN Box Score

Boozer is going to be the main talking point of this game, but Yaxel was also very impactful despite the loss. I don't care about his age or the turnovers, he is genuinely great and a dawg. His IQ, dribbling, motor, and variety in scoring is at a high-level. At some point in the game, he realized he wasn't shooting well and decided to go at the basket constantly and was able to draw a bunch of free throws. I know he's an old-ass rookie, but most 24-year olds in the NBA right now are not this skilled and do not have the versatility he has. Once he gets more adjusted to the NBA, he'll be elite.

NBA divisions are pretty much useless but in the interest of curiosity what division do you think boasts the best starting 5?

To those who were around back then, was Lebron’s playstyle as “rough” as Wemby’s now? Also, how does he compare to Jordan’s development?

As we all probably think, Wemby’s the BIG talent of this age of basketball, along with MJ and Bron, but watching him play can be very frustrating: his shot selection can be very lacking, and he can’t get into his head the fact that he is not a guard. So, i wanted to ask the people that followed basketball way back when if Lebron and Jordan were as developing as wemby is at this point in their career

Was Tyler Herro/Jimmy Butler actually right?

During their Heat tenures they’ve hinted at the organization giving bias towards Bam & letting him be the golden boy of the Heat organization. Yet even though him & Giannis aren’t that good of a fit, we’re seeing with two teams on opposite ends of the spectrum (a good team in the Wolves & a tanking team in the Bucks) how the Heat look dysfunctional outside of Giannis

Jimmy & Tyler were more consistent and I honestly feel on the Heats side they should’ve shopped Bam & possibly look for a 3rd team if they wanted Giannis so they could keep Jaime & Herro who are better fits for Giannis

Can someone explain why NBA Amazon Prime coverage is doing a post game interview with Quavo?

I thought Prime was supposed to be the ‘superior’ coverage so why the fuck do I care about some rapper after two intense games? Is this what Amazon is going to be rolling with now?

He will be absolutely insane by next year. He's too Strong, skilled, and has extremely high bball iq. This whole rookie class looks crazy, just missing AJ. Will be a great rookie of the year race.

Before signing with the Sixers, Lebron considered joining the Warriors, Cavs or Miami Heat. All those teams have lost 100% of their games so far, while Sixers have won 100%.

They have only played 2 games max, but still. I thought that was a pretty interesting tidbit. Fans were even clowning Lebron for "joining the wrong team" while the Sixers were down to the Cavs.
