Yo guys i know nothing about growing weed, smoked it couple times but never grew it. A week ago i went on a walk and found some flowers in the wild and i feel like its a shame to leave them there. Could yall help me what to do with them? Are they ready to harvest? I read something about it but it didnt really help. The forecast says its gonna rain in the next few days so im scared of mold, and its also gonna be relatively cold here (5 degrees celsious).

Hope im not at the wrong place and thanks in advance for any help

Help My Sick Plant Trouble with my slow growing plants

Hi all, first time grower here hoping someone can give me some advice/tips.

I started a batch of seeds back in August (08/06/2026) so it's been almost 3 months now, and I've always struggled with slow growth. I think over-watering was my biggest issue at first, which I've since fixed. But my plants seem to be growing at an abnormally slow speed. I pulled one of them out of the pot earlier today as I thought it was about time to pot up, only to see that the roots haven't developed very much. They're definitely white and healthy roots, but haven't filled up the pot (They've been in this size pot since early-mid September). I've also noticed that a few leaves on the top are a very light color around the edges compared to the middle, I'm not sure what that could be.

I do not water every day, I gauge the soil wetness by pot weight and the finger test. The pots have plenty of drainage holes. I intended to re-pot into 3gal fabric pots, but seeing the root ball I've decided to hold off for now.

Some info:

  • Seeds: Platinum Frosting Feminized
  • Light: Measured 500PPFD, 18/6 cycle, 16" away from the plant
  • Watering: Between 6.4PH - 6.6PH
  • Humidity: Kept around 65%-70%
  • Temperature: Between 74F-78F
  • Circulation: 24/7 oscillating fan pointed under the canopy
  • Soil: Expert Gardener (Walmart brand), 4:1 ratio of soil to perlite
  • Nutrients: Fox Farms grow big liquid fertilizer
  • Training: LST

I hope I'm not missing any info here, but if I am LMK and I'm more than happy to answer questions or provide more pics.

Question Second trellis?

Should I add a second trellis since the larger nugs are starting to lean over? I'm probably cutting in a week and a half. Is it necessary?

Question Should I chop off these giant leaves?

Thumbnail

This is Limez from Humboldt. For some reason there are 4 GIANT leaves, and everything else is kind of small and clustered in the center. I’ve never had one grow like this before. I’m not sure if I should chop off those big leaves to give the smaller ones more room/light to grow? Or leave it as is?

Question senescence or issue?

My plant is starting to look like this. I thought it was an overwatering issue so I let it dry for a few days and today I watered it. I’ve started to notice the leaves had yellowed more before I watered it. It is day 41 of flower. Is this senescence or another different issue?

Question $500 before the ban what are you grabbing?

Hey folks!

I just started growing a few months back and I’m loving it. I was very sad to hear about the ridiculous legislation coming to be at the end of this year.

So, if you were going to throw $500 at seeds what would you grab, and from which breeders? Please note, part of the reason I started growing is because I couldn’t find anything on the rec market that wasn’t “Super mega galactic mind fuck 25-30% thc”. I like mild-medium strength stuff that’s not going to have me peeking out of the blinds.

So far I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Lemon Cherry Gelato, Sticky rice, Cereal milk and Nordle when I’ve got my hands on them so assume I already have those seeds in queue. But anything along the same vibe or something that’s always made you laugh your ass off is the direction I’d like to head.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Question Am I doomed with high humidity?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Humidity was at 77-78% consistently. I trimmed the fan leaves, adjusted the circular fan to blow more on top, both circular and exhaust fans are up all of the way. The vents for the tent are open as well. The room the tent is in is measuring at 50%. I want to flip it to flower soon but afraid the humidity is too high and will cause mold or rot issues. Am I watering too much?

Vivosun tent
Growing in coco and perlite
Flora Nova nutrients (1-2 tsps per gallon)
Watering once a day (skipped the last one to see if that helps)
Tent temp is averages around 75
Currently on 18 hours and off for 6 hours

Question Strong, Weird Smell

Post image
1 Upvotes

My first harvest. I’ve been curing Berry Pie and Grandaddy Purple strains for about 6 weeks now. The smell in the jars is very strong. The room smells like weed when I burp, but inside the jars is a very strong, almost sweet smell that I can’t accurately describe.

Any experienced growers ran into this? Not sure if I should try it or toss it.

First Time Grower Chop time? First grow (Northern Lights - Day 56 since 12/12 flip)

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

This is my very first grow! So is it chop time?

I have a trip coming up next weekend and won't be back until next year. Depending on how long harvesting and drying takes, I might not even get to taste it before leaving.

For that reason, I’d love to harvest as early as possible—as long as it’s still within the IDEAL harvest window.

I won't rush it if it's not ready yet though;

I'm fine with waiting to taste it next year after a proper dry and cure (I have someone to handle curing while I'm away).

Setup & Grow Details:

Strain: Northern Lights by Pyramid Seeds (Breeder specs: 8-week flowering time)

Time: Today marks 8 weeks (56 days) since 12/12 flip

Light: 65W Quantum Board LED

Pot Size: 15L (3.9 gal) fabric pot

Medium & Nutrients: Organic Super Soil + Bokashi & Organic Top Dressing

Environment: Running AC 24/7 at 18°C (64°F) lights-off / 20°C (68°F) lights-on, locked at 45% RH

This plant was outdoor and basically left alone until it got started getting to moist here. Its pretty close to the end but im afraid of the possible rot. Or is this what happens when a plant is over ripe? I have removed a few parts that look like the bud in Pic 2

Help My Sick Plant Difference in plant thriving (end week 2)

Alright so first things first here's some info about the growing environment:

Grow tent: hs240w (240x120x200)

Spider farmer intake and exhaust fans

4 oscillating fans inside

Temps are between 17-23 Celsius

Humidity in the 45-60 range

4x sf2000 led

I use 20L pots, without transplanting

Coco/perlite 70/30

Seeds:

3x do si dos 33

4x mimosa x orange punch

Watering and feeding:

Week 1: 70 ml water with only ph adjustment - start EC~0.5/0.6

week 2: started adding calmag and worked up to 1.2 EC with only calmag, making slow bigger circles around the plant

End week 2: started giving 300 ml per plant with nutrients and ec ~1.3 and pH 6.0

------------------

The question itself is, why are my plants growing with such gaps, like some of them are at the 4th node and some only have 1-2 (see pics below)

Also, I accidentally watered with a pH of 6.8-7 on two of the plants, which I later tried rinsing out with the same water but the correct ph, and one of those plants is not good at all while the other looks fine but stunned ( see pic)

Can anyone give me a hint to what could've caused only some of the plants to be stunned in growth and if I can rescue the one with the droopy leaves?

Question Plant stem flattening? Mutation or bad sign?

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

Day 4 of flower, was checking my plants for any possible signs of herming. Didn’t find any herming but I did find this stem turning flat?? It almost looks like 2 stems fused together to form a big stem. Never noticed this before today. Also looks like the top nodes are super dense with not much spacing at all. Harmless mutation or a bad sign? Has anyone ever dealt with this before? How did it affect the buds on that particular branch?

Help My Sick Plant First time cloning, what’s wrong with these ladies?

Post image
13 Upvotes

Never tried to clone before, followed a 7 year-old YT video but 2 of them are suffering, any ideas what I could do to save them or are they past it? 4 seem to be doing fine and 2 seem to be thriving but the pictured 2 are weeping/sagging. Clones taken Saturday evening.

Temps range from 77-83 usually (ik it says 85 on the screenshot but that is not typical) and 80-85% RH

Running 18-6 lighting, used clonex gel and soaked the plugs in clonex solution + water ph adjusted to 6.5(iirc, might have been 6)

Any help is welcomed thanks experts!

This girl has truly been a pleasure to grow. Super impressed with these genetics. She outshines every other girl in the tent. I'm not great at taking pics, so they don't do her justice. These buds are so large, it looks almost un natural. This girl is so sticky, if your hands get too close to these buds, youll feel sticky spots on your hands and arms for a long time afterwards. Like a toddler dropped his nasty sucker all over you. It opens with a very sweet smell, thats followed by funk and fuel. I couldnt put my finger on the sweet smell at first, until the breeder told me what I was smelling, then it was kind of unmistakable. It's like a rotten berries smell. This girl truly has been incredible so far, and I'm glad I kept a cut of her.
