Discussion All the vitriol over a 60+ year old NFL logo and none over an official US redesigned logo?

Post image

Everyone is up in arms now because the Atlanta Falcons are going to wear their throwback uniforms which feature a Falcon logo introduced in the 1960s, that was used up until the 2002 season, over the color block taken directly from their old helmet color and helmet stripe, claiming it looks like the Nazi Eagle. Where was all the hate when the US government, under this administration, designed a NEW logo for the Department of War? Sure, let's get riled up over a football team and give an official government a pass...

Feedback Needed on my Fast food brand called Jade Snacks.

Hi everyone! I`m working on a visual identity for a fast food brand called Jade Snacks.

I chose blue as the primary color to help the brand stand out from competitors and create a distinctive, memorable identity. I also wanted the logo to feel playful, bold and suitable for a snack brand.

I`d love to hear your honest feedback!

. Do you think the blue color works well for a fast food brand?
. Is the logo distinctive and memorable?
. What would you improve about the typography or packaging design?

Thank You!

Feedback Needed Long time lurker, first time creator - Please share your thoughts!

Edit: People want the brief - sorry for asking for blind feedback.

Note: this is a super rough draft made in just one sitting. I’m just exploring whether my concepts are resonating with the audience at all - do not mistake this for some kind of finished product. I know it’s not pretty.

We are an indigenous agency (hence the colors) that provides support to individuals and families for addictions, mental health, and general wellbeing. This design is meant to evoke a caring, supportive relationship.

My concept for this draft: I wanted to try making a more minimalist logo that uses few details and simple shapes. A mother figure is holding her child in the negative space. The shapes together also resemble a heart. The wisp shapes are meant to represent smoke (from smudging). The grey and yellow wisps on the outsides are meant to look like ancestor spirits that watch over the family.

Feedback Needed Need feedback/critique of my OC superhero-universe secret agency logo!

Post image

I have this passion project where I'm developing my own superhero world. In this world there is a secret agency called the Universal Human Defense Agency (essentially my version of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Here is the first draft of its logo. I'm following the traditions of circular emblems with the agency name across the top, a latin phrase on the bottom, and a central badge, and I would like to maintain that basic structure. "Si vis pacem, para bellum" means "If you want peace, prepare for war."

I struggled most with the centerpiece. I like it, but I'm not certain its just right (although it's possible I'm overthinking this). The stars above the badge and across the bottom I added last-minute because it felt a little empty without them.

I want the agency to feel powerful but not authoritarian, and I want that to be communicated through its emblem. I would love to hear some feedback!

What I’ve learned so far:
- Overcomplicated. Needs to be able to be scaled up or down and maintain its character and legibility
- Too much government, not enough comic-ness
- Stars and stuff need to mean/represent something

Feedback Needed Feedback: Hierarchy, spacing, and crowding in the center

Heyy, I hope everyone's doing well

I'm currently working on a logo for a college project called Vis à Vis a french word

As the title says, I'm struggling with the hierarchy and spacing, especially between the "V" and the "is". I created the "V" using shapes, while the "is" is in Arial. I wanted to create a mirrored effect, with the two "V"s being the main focus. I also cut out the letter "à" between the two "V"s.

I also added a calligraphy-style line that doubles as the dots on both "i"s. However, this creates some overlap in the center, while the rest of the logo feels a bit too spread out.

What do you think? What should I change, and are there any issues that immediately stand out to you?

Thank you 🙏

This is for a software development company. A star going nova is about 100,000 times as bright as the sun. I took the space theme and created the "font" based off of the NASA worm font. The shape represents a star going nova. Do the tops and bottoms of the rounded letters look right (in the black and white version)? Is light reflection effect used/professional?

Showcase A logo for a shell software company

This company is a shell company I want to develop and release a somewhat abstract video game under. The game's a generally arcade-y, heavily stylized post-post-apocalyptic corporate authoritarianism/dystopian capitalism/etc and so on FPSRPG.

I tried to pick a seemingly inconspicuous but contextually amusing name, and I also tried doing that with the icon, though I suppose it is too thunk, because I wanted to cram the four cooling towers of the actual Three Mile Island plant, a nuclear blast mushroom cloud, and a negative space M into a simplistic "boring" logo, and well, this is my best attempt.

I'm not really looking for feedback per se since I like how it looks right now and it is basically one big quip, but if any of you have anything to say on it, I'd be happy to read it.

Fonts used: Kameron for the serif large text + Jost for the company specification below.

The icon is a mixture of both a bird flying, Yokai horns an the letter Y. I tried to combine the yokai visual culture to some more modern cyberpunk-ish vibes with the neon colors. What you guys think ?

Academy of Occult Pharmaceuticals

Overview: The Academy of Occult Pharmaceuticals is an organization that focuses on alternative medical practices using paranormal organisms and abilities to cure both paranormal and known ailments. Established in the 60s, they have multiple locations across the globe, primarily in Europe and North America. They are known to break the Veil if deemed necessary to save the lives of humans and the paranormal.

Black Star INC.

Overview: Black Star Incorporated was founded in the mid-70s during the arcade and video game boom. They were a mystery entity behind many video game-related conspiracies and urban legends. Using paranormal forces to exploit and keep customers addicted to their anomalous product. Ultimately, the company crashed in the late 80s or early 90s. Attempts to come back have been made but haven't been as fruitful as their genesis.

Charitable Organization by the Mystics

Overview: An interfaith humanitarian relief agency, the Charitable Organization by the Mystics uses magic, paranormal technology, and entities to help those in need, primarily those affected by war, famine, natural disasters, disease, and poverty-stricken regions. Although their intentions are noble, their methods often lead to inconvenient or disastrous consequences due to the group's general ignorance about magic and the paranormal.

Chimera Farms

Overview: This food production company has been shut down multiple times, but it always seems to return with a new name, a new owner, and in a new location. Some of the names include Monster Meats, Cryptid Feast, Extraterrestrial Delights, and Mystery Cuisine. This company illegally sells alien and cryptid meat to the general public. Both are considered protected species by Project Paradoxa and Wilderness Solutions for Mysterious Animals and thus illegal to sell and consume.

Hephaestus Industries

Overview: Founded in 1889, Hephaestus Industries reverse-engineers extraterrestrial and paranormal technology to both research and sell to an undisclosed list of individuals, companies, and governments within the Veil. Their first and only public appearance was between 1896 and 1897 when a wave of strange airships was sighted across the US. Hephaestus Industries has been relatively compliant with Project Paradoxa’s objective of normalcy and often supplies technology to aid in their research of the paranormal.

Readman's Technical Media Productions

Overview: A 15-year-old Viktor Readman founded a group of supernatural broadcast intruders in 1971. Throughout the 70s into the 90s and partly in the early 2000s, this ragtag group would use their supernatural abilities to intrude upon television broadcasts and feed glimpses of the anomalous world to the general public. In the 2000s, the group shifted its focus to creating and distributing anomalous entertainment for Veil communities. Whilst the group still occasionally performs anomalous signal intrusions, this practice has become rare in the company.

The Midas Touch Initiative

Overview: A goods and services broker and auction house for ultra-wealthy and elites in the paranormal community. Primarily based in New York City, Shanghai, and Mumbai, the Midas Touch Initiative auctions off extraterrestrial and paranormal technology, artifacts, and entities. This group is known for collecting rare and obscure items, along with providing its clients the most exclusive, expensive, and rare experiences available, often coming into conflict with Project Paradoxa due to the illegal nature of their products.

Wilderness Solutions for Mysterious Animals

Overview: Established in 1976 as an animal conservation, rehabilitation, and refuge center for invasive, out-of-place, escaped from zoos, and released exotic and non-exotic pets and animals. At least that's the objective of the company in the public eye. Outside of it, they help conserve mysterious animals and cryptids. Often working in collaboration with Project Paradoxa to keep cryptids hidden and protected.

Feedback Needed Feedback on company logo

These are the four variants that are part of our narrowed selection. We need to pick one. We would greatly appreciate any and all feedback.

Below I've described the company and the idea behind the logo under a spoiler. This way you can check whether the details and context match what you expected, but also to see if you found the logo even better with context or has it missed the mark when it comes to what you expected.

Thank you for your time and thoughts!

Company TRIBIT is based in Belgrade, Serbia and is an IT services & software solutions provider. The symbolism in the logo is that 011 is the callsign for Belgrade which is widely known inside Serbia and part of the city's identity. Also, in order to write the number 3 (TRI) using three bits (binary system) you would write it like 011. The logo therefore has a play on those two facts combining them into one icon.
