This little guy was really cute and caught my eye, I didn't want to scare them off so I took far away pictures and then a video. The growth is not a stick or foreign object stuck on them, it also appears like the tail is stiff. Do you think it's a birth mutation or a tail regrowth one?
I don't know the species but there are hundreds in my community and they all have wispy long tails that bend.
All but the first are screenshots from the video and I circled the lizard as he runs around the tree showing it's fully part of them.
I just thought it was neat and I hope you do too :)

Is anyone in the Atlanta/North Georgia area currently looking to thin their mourning gecko colony? I am looking for 2-3 geckos that are about 2 months old. Please reach out if you can help!

Just got back from an incredible trip to the Galapagos and had to share some of the beauties we saw!

So for the last 4 months I've had a female side blotched lizard chilling in my backyard. I set out a water bowl for her and some like terracotta tiles because google said she might like it. I don't feed her or anything, but she hangs around and she's super chill now that I think she realizes I fill up her water bowl. She used to live underneath the dog pooper scooper in the corner of my yard.
Well, about 2 weeks ago a new lizard was in her place under the pooper scooper and she's moved to under the grill about 10 feet away. I'm pretty sure the new lizard is a baby southern alligator lizard. I did some googling because I didn't know if they would hurt each other, and when the baby gets bigger there's a chance it could eat my side blotched lizard.
I love having the critters in the yard so I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep them happy but also like away from each other? I don't plan on directly interfering if wildlife does what it does, but if there's a way to maybe encourage them away from each other I'd like to do that.
So, I guess my question is whether there's a way to have them both live in the backyard without the alligator lizard maybe eating the other lizard when it's big enough? And if there is, how would you go about making it possible? I rent so I can't do any permanent changes, but my landlord is fine with me having the critters around and modifying things so long as it's not permanent. Thank you in advance!

I am getting mixed answers all over the internet and Google. But I need to know if thr Frilled neck lizard, the Green Basilisk and Newt grow their tails back.
Its very important for a story I'm writing and trying to make the lizards in the story as real as possible.
Thanks!
