When I first saw Life is Strange, I didn't really expect much from it despite knowing that it is a well-known game. For years, I avoided it or didn't have interest to go look it up myself—to my surprise, it changed my life. Not in a grand way, but it did inspire me to pursue my old interests again such as writing and drawing.

I have mentioned this in one of my previous posts, but I just can't help but express my appreciation for what this game evoked.

Because of this game, I later learned of the many talents here in the fandom such as fanfiction writers, artists, and fan music producers.

I hope I find the time to practice my interests and hone them.

Also, can you all drop music that feels like Life is Strange?

and i mean distant with her parents in particular. I don’t know if that would be considered a spoiler hence why I didn’t put it in the title 😭

but it always stood out to me that Max doesn’t really respond to her parents texts even in S1 all the way up to Reunion. They seem very loving and wanting to be a part of her life but Max is always really flaky towards them.

now I was wondering if Max might be distant because they made her move right after Chloe’s funeral? The move was already such a hard thing for Max to come to terms with but on top of that William died, who she also loved like family and now she had to grieve without Chloe in a totally new city.

i know that Max is a horrible texter and finds it hard to keep in contact with people who aren’t in her daily life. so it might just be that but especially after Reunion where she basically ghosted her parents on her own birthday it made me think if there was something there

I've been a fan of the franchise since watching a streamer play it back in 2015 every week after recommending it from the reveal. I wasn't much of a merch person back then though.

I've hit a bit of a milestone and I'm feeling pretty content with myself, so figured I'd share the positive vibes in celebration. 😄

A few weeks ago I finished my first fanfic. A short LiS 2,5k words one-shot, yet to be published (missing a cover art, which I've been procrastinating on). Then, right away I started work on what I had set out to do about 2 months before: a proper 80k-100k (or more) fan novel.

A lot of research and brainstorming had been done up to that point, but in the last three weeks, I've actually sat down to draft the first act of the story.

Today, I have officially finished the first draft of Act 1, totalling 16k words and 6 chapters. It could go up to 20k+ and one extra chapter, by the time I'm done editing. But right now I feel like just celebrating what I've achieved to this point.

I'm seriously grateful for LiS—for wakening a passion in me I didn't really know I had. It's been a tough few months and this shit's kept me sane, honestly.

Feel free to ask questions if interested, though I won't be revealing much at this stage.

Chloe needs to get money for her drug dealer and decides to steal the money from the safe in Drews's room. I decided not to give him the money back, thinking Chloe would keep it so she could run away with Rachel at the end. But no matter what you do, Rachel is going to end up with a stab wound in her arm (I played that part 3 times) So in the end, I returned the money to Drews when I visited him in the hospital. But even so, it’s like there are no consequences? Doesn’t Drews wonder why the money is now in his backpack and not in the safe?

I was convinced the whole time that Nathan Prescott was the dangerous one because he reminds me so much of my ex, and I’d read a few spoilers on Reddit, but I didn’t expect Eliot to turn out to be so obsessed with everything in the end.

i keep reading that people think it was too long, too political, too boring, and that the characters are horrible... WHAT?? I've played them all, and I think it's my favorite (as well as Before the Storm). the dual ended morality, the complete heartbreaking sadness, the connection to everywhere they go... it was horrible because it was GUT WRENCHING. all possible endings are so fucking sad and horrible, i love it. i think that it really brings out what the Life is Strange series is about: emotional storytelling. im a lesbian and i LOVE playing as women (i usually avoid games that make me play as men -- but i have of course played the must-plays), especially when there is queerness. but life is strange 2... wow. i want more like that. i need something that makes me feel HATRED at first for our characters, frustration with my lack of true control. in the end, the meaning stood so strongly: i can only control myself (sean), and whatever daniel chooses... that's daniel. i just have to do my best

Almost time for me to get back to my BTS playthrough!

I saw this post on a different subreddit and it got me thinking. If you had to summarize the first page of lis AO3 how would you do it?

If anyone here has been looking for a copy of the original game's soundtrack, I'm selling mine due to life circumstances. I would prefer it went to a fan of the game as opposed to someone looking to resell it given the absurd prices in the secondary market.

Media is near mint, played once, and jewel case is in good condition with some marks on the back. Happy to provide pictures upon request and feel free to DM me if anyone is interested. Located in the US.

I posted a screenshot of RA yesterday and the more I looked at it, the more I began to realize that it reminded me of something. The Fallen Angel created by the French painter Alexandre Cabanel in 1847! Even the name of the artwork fits so well with the scene and Rachel's story.
