After several weeks of intermittent communication from reddit support, I am happy to announce that we have successfully restored the sub as safe for work!
Please note that we still have the new rule in place that does not allow pornographic or sexually-explicit content, and please do mark anything else that might be NSFW as such. This new policy is what has allowed us to return back to a safe for work sub, so please post anything explicit to other appropriate subreddits.
At some point I would like to make a post detailing everything I did to make this happen and how...unhelpful reddit admins were until the very end, but for now, let's just enjoy the win.

We are making updates to the rules. The reddit algorithm recently decided that this sub was NSFW because of the occasional sexually explicit posts we have, and contacting reddit support only confirmed that this is reddit's policy. Because of the negative impact this has on the sub when 90% or more of our content is SFW (users in countries like the UK and Australia are forced to prove that they're older than 18 to visit), the mods have decided that we need to adjust our approach to NSFW content moving forward.
Thus, the rule now is:
Do not post pornographic or sexually explicit content
This includes text and images.
If your content is not sexually explicit but is still Not Safe for Work (NSFW), please use the NSFW tag when posting. Note that NSFW is defined as content not suitable for viewing at a workplace, campus, bus, school, university, or other public space. If you wouldn’t want a classmate, colleague, teacher, family member, or boss seeing the content in question over your shoulder because you would be embarrassed, odds are it is NSFW, even if it is not sexually explicit. The mod team will add the NSFW tag to posts at their discretion.
We will also be removing past sexually-explicit art on the sub so that we can hopefully be restored as a SFW sub soon.
We know this is disappointing to those of you who post NSFW fanart, but unfortunately this problem is far larger than anything us mods can fight on our own. Many governments around the world, along with advertisers and payment processors, have become increasingly hostile to sexual content on the Internet. This inevitably impacts queer communities and other marginalized groups harder than others. We encourage you to spread the word about this issue.
That said, there are other NSFW Life Is Strange subreddits out there still available, so please feel free to also use those.

Just wondering if someone could shed some light on any of these things. I hope it's okay to post here. I don't want to post in the LISreunion sub for obvious reasons, don't feel safe there. This became an essay, so thank you to those who read the whole thing.
- "DESTROYING" and VILIFYING CHLOE: Why was the game yet again about Chloe suffering? She was always alive in bae ending and they kind of ruined our Chloe, and merged her to someone else. She doesn't even remember Max choosing her? but at the same time she remembers things they did together on the road?
-She was also putting herself down constantly and the message seemed to be, yet again, "I'm bad for Max" "I don't fit in to her life "I'm the chaos. etc" . Even having her say she doesn't deserve to exist!? And Max barely contradicts her. Like, why can they only write Chloe like that, why does it always feel like D9/square have a personal vendetta against her? Even in bts., I got that feeling, despite it being her story.
- UNRESOLVED PLOTPOINTS: Why couldn't they write them actually resolving their break-up? I'm not a writer but I literally could have done it better. Throw some lines in about Max not beeing able to deal with her trauma and Chloe saying: I had to let you go so you could find a way forward, but I never stopped loving you." That could have also explained why Chloe would leave Max without putting the blame on Chloe. ( all of us know she wouldn't leave but since they created the mess in their story they had to solve it.).
- They barely talked about their trauma. Why not have them actually show growth and talk about how the storm wasn't either of their fault and that they can't blame themselves?
- NO INTIMACY: I know there was a very tight budget, they couldn't touch bc of mo-cap suits getting stuck and it being expansive to fix. But is that the only reason there wasn't another kiss towards the end? it could have been automatic based on romance algorithm etc. I mean, they must have known Pricefielders wanted that?
- THEY BARELY SPEND ANY TIME TOGETHER. In a Pricefield-game of roughly 8 hours they have like 2,5 hours together I think? Is it bc of Chloe being shoe-horned in last minute, they never planned for her to be there? She's supposed to be one of two protagonists and she shows up after like half the game. It really feels like "this is Max's story, Chloe is merely a sidekick." I really really hated that.
-THE ENDING: Like, the ending is my main criticism. Why on earth could Max leave Chloe in one ending yet again? And most of the other endings are about CHLOE LYING to Max! If the intention was a Pricefield-game, why didn't they just write an ending where they unambiguously stay together? even exchange a mutual I love you? It could have been so easy? They can't blame that choice on the budget.
tldr: D9's writing does Chloe such an injustice and even in the end they can't just stay together. it could have been so easy to just give Pricefielders what we wanted and I don't understand?

So, after finishing up Reunion recently, I felt pretty bummed out that I wouldn't get to see any more of my OTP (Pricefield). So I decided to go ahead and write a fic that will follow them being on the road together with Drugstore Makeup, visiting Arcadia Bay, and more. Also, the photo is burned. I'm planning to post once every Friday, unless life gets in the way, y'know.

The showrunners have claimed they want more than one season. If that's the case Pricefield will give them all the same problems SE, Don't Nod, and Deck 9 had in trying to come up with more LiS content without Max and Chloe.
Don't Nod originally wanted to make one-off, episodic entries, hence why LiS 2 did not feature Max and Chloe. That lead to bitter complaints and, among other reasons, was what lead to the failure of LiS 2. True Colors failed to make much of an impact and we don't need to rehash what happened to DE.
So if the showrunners want a second season-- how will they go about it? If they follow the game, they have to decide whether Chloe lives or dies. Odds are better than even they'll choose to kill her. I personally think choosing Bae for a wide-release TV show would invite no end of unpleasant controversy. Killing off a whole town for the sake of a queer relationship? That's going to piss a lot of vocal and unpleasant people off, even those who won't watch the show. But choosing Bay makes for picturesque TV-- tragedy always does. Imagine the ending scene where Max is looking at Chloe's grave or coffin and sees a blue butterfly landing on it and then flying away.
Problem is I doubt people would care any more for a future season without Pricefield than the players did for future games-- especially if they go for the romance angle. Which I suspect they will, since that makes for better TV. Not unless they want accusations of queer baiting.
Also, I strongly suspect the main audience of this TV show will probably be queer or prefer Pricefield. LiS has been stereotyped "the lesbian game". I doubt most casual observers even think about or remember the time travel aspect at all.
Killing Chloe will have about the same disastrous effects for the show's numbers as did the death of Joel in the Last of Us TV show.
Of course one way to make Chloe's death palatable is to make her unlikable. But if they do that, the show will fail. Given that the stronger actor was picked as Chloe, I'm pretty sure that's not where they're going.
To be frank, Pricefield has had a tendency to suck all the oxygen out of the room, limiting the future options of any LiS media. Kill Chloe and Pricefield and a lot of the more dedicated fans will lose interest. But keep Pricefield and they have to keep making media with Max and Chloe.
So what are they going to do? I'm fairly curious. Let's see if they do a better job than SE.
