Introduction

Hello Masters Builders, and welcome to the official r/lego Open Forum post. This is your opportunity to tell us what you think of r/lego, make suggestions or comments about the rules, ask open questions about the community, or share whatever else is on your mind.

Note that this post is for discussion of r/lego itself. If you have a general question about something related to Lego, make a post instead of asking here.

This month, we once again have a Megathread for the lastest wave of the Bricklink Designer Program. If any creators want to promote their entries, they may do that in the megathread. Posts about BDP outside of the megathread will be removed.

---

It's October already!

SpOOky season has begun! Or as some Lego fans like to call it, "MOCtober" is here. This is my favorite time of year to build, because it means getting out the Halloween sets and starting those pre-build plans for the Winter Village. Autumn is also a great time to attend Lego shows, so check out your local Lego Groups to see if they are participating in a Convention, Festival or Hobby Show nearby.

Let us know what's on your mind this month. What have you always wondered about? What rule do you want clarified, or changed? Do you have any suggestions you've been trying to find a chance to make? I won't promise that we will make the change(s) you want, but I will commit to explaining the reason we have the rules and policies we have.

Dolphins -> Brachiosaurus!

Made it decently posable despite the lack of joint parts, though the neck looks a bit wonky when the head is down.

Hi this is my first time posting. Whent into my lego shed to day and somehow mice got in, and they gnawed the heads and hair of the Minniefigures from the goonies, willy Wonka and the ghostbusters fire station sets as well as sum of the bricks. I am devastated 💔 😢

Great figure from a great line! Monster Fighters is a classic theme at this point. Absolute tragedy that the zombie set was and is so hard to get. Ghost train is easily one of the best in the whole line.

MOC The CARthedral

I'm finally satisfied with "The CARthedral". It went a way darker path than I imagined and had planned for beforehand, but I love the result!

The CARthedral features a V8 engine made to look like a church organ with organ pipes for air intakes and exhaust pipes made to look like pedals. The car has a double seat in front and a single seat and a coffin (for dead weight) in the back. It has fully functional openable doors and the roof is hinged to enable full access to the interior.

I've altered the colour scheme and altered the front fenders so that it's possible to see the pipe organ engine better than earlier.

The front has been altered as well to look like a vampire bat, as I imagine only Count Dracula himself would be the only one with bad enough taste to drive this beautiful abomination of a car.

The large stained glass windows on the side are made from LEGO Technic brake discs, as is befitting for a CARthedral, and the lights are inspired by one of my favourite spooky LEGO creations of all time, "Adventure in Transylvania"

I hope you like it! 😄 Feedback is, as always, highly appreciated! If you've got tips about things to add or alter to make it even cooler, feel free to comment, and I might just include your suggestion in the final version. I always enjoy answering your comments, and I find a lot of inspiration from this amazing community!

Love

I was hesitant about La Catrina at first but decided to get her for Halloween and wow, it is a great build and display piece. The level of detail is awesome. Don’t think I have another set I can just stare at like this one. Highly recommend it.

I wanted the castle to seem bigger and more elegant. The newer jumper arch element gave me the motivation.

LEGO® Ideas Meet the X-Quinjet! LEGO Ideas STAR WARS x MARVEL

Hey everyone!
I wanted to share my latest LEGO creation, the X-Quinjet: A New Alliance!
For the LEGO Ideas Star Wars × Marvel Challenge, I decided to combine two of my favorite vehicles: the legendary X-Wing from Star Wars and the Avengers Quinjet!
My goal was to keep the iconic features of both ships while creating something that could belong in both universes.
The model includes 665 pieces, custom stickers, a removable cockpit windshield, space for Spider-D2, and three custom minifigures:
Luke Skywalker × Captain America
Princess Leia × Black Widow
Darth Vader × Doctor Doom
I also designed the backgrounds myself!
Voting starts December 15th on LEGO Ideas, and I’d love to hear what you guys think about this crossover!
May the Force assemble! 🚀

I've built a lego Scooby Doo MOC for a lego ideas submission. If you would like this to be a real lego set, it would mean a lot if you could support my idea on lego ideas.

The MOC is around 1290 pieces, and features changeable eyes, posable legs tail and eyebrows. I hope you would consider supporting, (we already have over 900 supporters in just a few days). Would you do it for a Scooby Snack???

MOC Restaurants of the World alley

Thumbnail

Proof of concept of a restaurant alley layout for the Restaurants of the World. I removed a tree for some renders to see better. The restaurants are not leveled as I built them separately and just placed them for reference. This layout does give enough space for a technic brick in each restaurant for the mandatory technic pins that modulars need.

Ideally the paving would be a bit more creative than just square tiles, but since all restaurants have their own unique layout, it'd be tough to find something unifying. Also, I'm terrible at trees, so forgive the atrocities that are acting as placeholders.

I'm very open to constructive criticism and any suggestions of details that could improve this are welcomed!
