Artists I've been listening to lately for reference. Nothing longer than 15 minutes please!

Holding Absence's newest album is incredible!

Here's my top 10

The names of the albums and artists I’ve been listening to on streaming platforms can be found on their respective album covers in the first image. For the second collage (apologies for the quality; I pulled these images directly from Discogs), I’ll list them here, from left to right:

Quebrar Quebrou - ANTCONSTANTINO

King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown — Augustus Pablo & King Tubby

Violão Brasileiro / Brazilian Guitar - Various Artists

Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman

Let's Get It On — Marvin Gaye

Restless Faithful Desperate - Kath Bloom / Loren Connors

Keith Jarrett - The Köln Concert

Getting Killed - Geese

Cycles - Frank Sinatra

Me Chama de Gato Que Eu Sou Sua - Ana Frango Elétrico

Rubber Soul - The Beatles

Todas ao vivo - Marina Lima

I’m curious to hear what you think of this selection! Does anyone else here collect vinyl? I’d love to hear what you’ve been listening to lately, and I’m always open to recommendations based on these albums!

This keeps on happening to all of Japanese artists I've been listening to. Same with Jean Michel Jarre (Jean-Michel Jarre instead). Does anyone know where the problem might be? Does it have something to do with Spotify?

Something of a niche question but does anyone have experience with the Apple Music app in a Rivian, and do you know if it ever updates the playcounts to things you listen to in your library? If it does, I can scrobble it whenever with the last.fm app on my phone, but I am hearing that it may never update the playcounts at all (which is a problem for other reasons).

I just released LibrestFM, a free open-source (GPL-3.0) desktop and Android app.

Merges Last.fm, Libre.fm, ListenBrainz and Spotify history, no double counting

Reversible auto-cleanup (remasters, feat., double scrobbles)

Stats, per-artist/album/track pages, mixes and discoveries

Android scrobbler with synced lyrics

Everything stays on your device, no account, no server

Tested on Fedora and Android phone, Windows/Debian/others untested. Feedback welcome!

I honestly do not know how I’d describe my music taste. It’s very much all over the place, so I’m interested to see what other people’s compatibility with me is like!

When I play records, I like to scrobble them. Typically, I use OpenScrobbler, but sometimes I forget. I was wondering if there would be a way to say to the google home speaker beside my record player to "Scrobble Album Name by Album Artist on Last.fm", so that I can do that as soon as I put the record on. Could this be built as a plugin somehow by someone with more tech savvy than me?

I'm honestly not sure how many of you in this sub know about this app.

It's basically letterboxd for music, or lastfm but more like a ... Yeah letterboxd kind of thing.

So I was wondering if someone knows a way to batch entry lastfm data to grooves app. I listen to a ton of albums and artists and it's going to be a pain in the ahh if I try to manually enter every album I've listened so far.

Since lastfm already has most of the data inside it, a convenient way to transfer them over to grooves would be very helpful.

Let me know if anyone knows a way, if not I might make some terminal based service or something for this if I'm able to get some api keys someday, if anyone is interested in that, let me know, we can build together.

over the last couple weeks I’ve noticed last.fm will scrobble random songs on my account? Mostly stuff I’ve never heard of, but sometimes if I had checked out the account ON SPOTIFY but didn’t play anything, a couple hours later I’ll see a bunch of strange scrobbles and some will be from that same artist I looked at earlier. WHAT is the explanation and is this happening to anyone else. I attached some photos and the deleted (greyed out) scrobbles are the weird ones.

Happy Halloween, y'all! Pretty sure this was done a couple years ago, but I miss these library games.

What are your top tracks, records, and artists with "vampire" in the title/name?

I have 85 tracks with "vampire" in the title. Top 10:
1. Annie Lennox - "Love Song for a Vampire" (126 scrobbles)
2. Concrete Blonde - "Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)" (101)
3. Bad Brains - "Fearless Vampire Killers" (63)
3. Old Time Relijun - "Vampire Victim" (63)
4. Marcy Playground - "The Vampires of New York" (58)
5. Selofan - "Billie Was a Vampire" (48)
6. Jenny Hval - "Female Vampire" (35)
7. Blue Öyster Cult - Tattoo Vampire (34)
8. The Fuzztones - "Night of the Vampire" (27)
9. Heinrich Marschner - "Der Vampyr (The Vampire): Overture" (22)
10. Roky Erickson - "Night of the Vampire" (20)

I have 25 albums with "vampire" in the title, and 7 artists with "vampire" in the credited name.

How about you!?

Apparently you can do that as well as create a BIO using last FM. However, you need minimal requirements. In order to even upload a photo. Of yourself on last FM. Is there any way that I could have someone else do that for me? Is there some kind of interview process that I need to partake in? I am confused and utterly clueless as to how to get my Wikipedia up.

I'm looking for a free working alternative to Spotlistr for converting my last.fm top overall tracks (account: affishal) into a Spotify playlist, preferably able to do more than 1000 songs. Thank you!!

haven't really gone outside my comfort zone lately and I need a reason to listen to more music, so if we score low feel free to send me a recommendation or something :o)

I use Apple Music with files and I’ve noticed yesterday and today my plays on most albums tripled and then the days before there was nothing even if I was listening everyday. So one day I’d have like 15 hrs and the next only 6mins. The scrobble time is only 1 minute for most of them now so I’m very confused.
