Offering Mandarin Offering:Chinese | Seeking:English/Spanish

Hi, I'm lluvia, 23F, from Chongqing, currently in Zhejiang, China (GMT+8). Looking for long-term language exchange partners.

I'm learning English and Spanish at the same time and hoping to take certification exams next year. My English is kinda rusty since I haven't used it much — especially speaking (listening is fine for daily conversation) Spanish is around B1

What I'm looking for: Text or voice at first;
maybe 2–3 calls a week to practice together (depend on our schedule) I'm really interested in cultural exchange and would appreciate corrections on pronunciation/mistakes, plus some slang and natural expressions. Let's both improve.

What I can offer: I don't mind if you're a beginner, but I hope you're genuinely into Chinese and want something long-term. I can help with word meanings, pronunciation, culture, daily expressions, and grammar as much as I can (sometimes I don't even follow grammar myself 😂)

A bit more about me: just a regular young person struggling through life while trying to enjoy it. Pretty easygoing — INTP-A if you're into MBTI stereotypes. I like trying new things (currently learning boxing and bass), love traveling, and my dream is to see the animal migration on the African savanna someday. Also, I've been drawing since childhood and still do — it's kind of a lifelong thing for me. I'm also really interested in social issues and enjoy learning about how people live in different countries

If you're interested, just DM me
I use both WhatsApp and WeChat😊

Offering English Offering: English, Seeking: Korean

Hi! I'm Felixx, and I'm part of VEXXN, a self-made K-pop group run by teens! We're looking for someone who speaks Korean and can work with us long-term to help translate parts of our songs and teach us Korean!

We need help translating our lyrics into natural Korean while keeping the original meaning and vibe, explaining what the Korean lyrics mean, and teaching us how to read and pronounce them properly so we can actually sing them!

Right now, we can only read Korean lyrics if they're romanized (written using English letters), and we need someone to go over the pronunciation with us a few times because we're still beginners. We'd also love to learn more Korean over time instead of relying on translations forever!

In return, we can help you learn English! We can practice with you and help explain words and phrases. We're teens with no budget rn, so we're looking for someone who's willing to do this for free as a language exchange and hopefully stick with us long-term!

If you're interested, comment or DM me! We'd really appreciate it!!

Hi, I’m Chinese looking for a language exchange partner. I want to improve my English, and I can help you practice your Mandarin.

I’d prefer to avoid people who stop replying after a few days. Please don’t message me if you can’t keep it up.

I’m slow to warm up. We can start with text or voice notes, no live calls at first. We can try calls later only if both of us feel comfortable.

We can talk about most daily life topics.

Feel free to DM me if you’re serious and want a steady partner.

Hello!

I’m currently in the process of learning Japanese and would like someone to help me with said process. I already know basics of kanji script but still need help on katakana and hiragana as well as general pronunciation and grammar.

I can help you with most of English whether that’s making sentences or dissecting words you may not know. For mandarin I can help with tonal pronunciations.

I hope to find someone who is somewhat around my age 16M and shares a couple hobbies with me so we can find things to talk about. I’m very interested in anything history related like games, books, and other forms of media. I also enjoy geography and sociology. There are also random games I play.

I hope to be able to find someone who can help me further my studies and thank you for reading have a lovely day.

Offering: English (native) | Seeking: Russian (native)

Hi! 31F Erial, I'm currently learning Russian and (still) looking for someone who is patient as I don't have much speaking practice. I am currently around A2 level. In return, I would definitely help with English.

My main interests are music (listening to a lot of darkwave and post punk at the moment), record collecting, music festivals, pop culture, tv series/movies (A24 is my fav), reading (historical fiction/non-fiction, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, romance), painting, astrology, travelling, food, etc.

Would love to make some casual friends who are okay speaking both English and Russian (don't care about your English proficiency). My current time zone is GMT-6. Please, no one under 21.

Offering Japanese Offering: Japanese | Seeking: Korean

• Upvotes

안녕하세요!

한국어를 배우고 싶은 일본 대학생(19F) 입니다.

I've been learning korean from this spring when I entered to the university, but I found it really hard to do alone and I want some help from native speakers.

I want to learn korean but I'm not a fan of kpop (I don't know anything about it actually). One of my parents is originally from Korea, and I grew up with 2 cultures but one language. I really want to be like a native. I want to be good at it for my grandparents and my ancestors.

My korean is really bad so I hope we can also use Japanese or English to communicate, not only Korean. And I want my partner to be women🙌

Even if you're still beginner of Japanese, or you don't speak it at all that's fine! I want more chances to talk with natives and see how natives talk. So only texting is fine too!

I'm very lazy so my reply can be several days late. If you're generous enough for it and if you're interested pls dm me! Thank u for reading.

Offering English 29/F] Correspondance épistolaire et amitié sincère - Curieux de tout et bâtisseur de mondes [ Offering ; English, Spanish | Seeking : French ]

Chère âme, ou noble esprit, veuille bien accepter mes salutations les plus sincères...

Greetings,

I am an introverted, deeply melancholic, and mystically inclined soul with a predilection for the striking beauty of 18th- and 19th-century music, classic literature, and cinema. I would be remiss if I didn't mention my devotion to writing; it is my heartfelt hope, God willing, to publish a novel someday.

I hold a profound reverence for archaic manuscripts, and I am terribly inquisitive, always possessing a curious mind. Whether I am solving puzzles, crafting ciphers, learning languages, or tinkering away in the creative lab of my mind (building worlds and characters for short stories, making predictions for future generations, or leaving letters for strangers), I am usually crafting something.

I find myself endlessly fascinated by figures like Nostradamus, Hildegard von Bingen, and Nikola Tesla, though I admit I still have much reading left to do. More than anything, I am hoping to find a true friendship with a fellow creator, seeker of wisdom, and lover of truth.

I have recently embarked upon the journey of learning French, so I am far from fluent. I am looking for a French native who is fluent in English, and who would be willing to correspond primarily in English to start. As my knowledge grows, I would love for us to slowly introduce French into our letters, gradually weaving it in as we go.

A gentle caveat: Please do refrain from writing to me if you are the kind of person that relies on an LLM to generate messages for you. It is a terribly sad thing to rely on a device to think and write for you! But especially if it is intended to connect with another living human being. I've always believed the only requirements for prompting interesting conversation are ; authenticity, kindness, earnest curiosity, and courage.

After all, a good conversation is like a well-timed orchestra playing a symphony where everyone plays according to their notes at their exact moment, and no one rushes or plays over another. Every instrument has its purpose; this is the difference between a disastrous cacophony and a harmonious melody.

If you too have grown weary of our modern culture's vacuous, quick-paced messaging and long for old-fashioned, long-form epistles at our own pace, then I'd be honored to hear from you.

Hello everyone! 👋

Let's connect with people who are willing to learn and improve their English communication skills. 😊

I'm planning for group where we can practice speaking English regularly, improve our fluency, build confidence, and learn from each other.

📌 Here's the plan:

\- 👥 Group size: Only 5 learners per batch.

\- 📅 Batch 1: Regular practice on weekdays.

\- 📅 Batch 2: Practice on weekends.

\- 🎯 Our goal: To improve spoken English, fluency, pronunciation, and confidence through regular conversations.

\- 🌎 Looking for 2 native English speakers who would be willing to volunteer their time and help us learn and improve.

If you're interested in joining, please DM me. Let's create a friendly, supportive environment where we can learn together without hesitation or fear of making mistakes.

Offering English Offering: English, friendship(?) | Seeking: French, Mandarin, Korean

Bonjour a tous,你好, and 안녕하세요!

I am a software engineer, living in Paris; looking for language exchange partners to help me practice and improve my target languages. As the title mentions, I am currently focusing on French, Mandarin, and Korean.

Here is a bit about what I'm looking for:

  • French: I am looking to improve my conversational flow, expand my everyday vocabulary, and get more comfortable with spoken French. My current level is i believe A2
  • Mandarin & Korean: I am currently at a beginner level for both and would love someone patient to help me practice basic pronunciation, grammar structures, and simple daily conversation.

I can help you level up your English! Whether you need help with tricky grammar, natural phrasing and slang, or just want a relaxed partner to practice conversational English with, I'd be happy to help.

We can chat about tech, fitness, video games, books, Chess, GO, Poetry, philosophy, world politics, etc Im a polymath so I have a lot of skills and knowledge regarding a lot of stuff. And also I am huge History fanatic, and my reason for learning mandarin and korean is primarily because of the rich culture and history and literature that they have natively.

my DMs are open so please dont hesitate to reach out.

( this is a repost because of some technical issues with the account )

Hey, I’m 22F from Poland and I’m looking for ppl aged 21-28 to talk to, practice English with and hopefully become friends with!!
I’m into traveling, hiking, photography, cooking, reading, learning languages, exploring new places, and getting obsessed with random topics at 2 am. I love learning about other cultures, hearing people’s stories and finding out what life is like in completely different parts of the world. I’m also really into Japanese, Chinese and Korean culture.
I can talk about pretty much anything, from music and movies to the most random stuff ever.
I barely get to speak English IRL, so I need to put all those years of learning to use somehow 😭 I can teach u some Polish too, so we can both struggle together lol.
If you’re around my age and have a similar vibe, hmu! Tell me smth about yourself, not just “hey” because I never know what to do with that 😭

Offering Multiple Languages Offering: English, Finnish, Romanian | Seeking: Russian

Hey guys,

I’m a 25 year old man living in Finland. I’m ethnically Romanian so I can speak both + English pretty much natively.

I work as an electrician in a huge port where the majority of workers speak Romanian, Finnish and Russian. There is a huge opportunity for me to apply for a very high position due to the languages I speak and learning Russian would pretty much guarantee the spot.

I only know basic greetings so far and stuff I’ve learned from Duolingo. I know nothing of essence yet but I’m very serious about learning the language so I’m looking for someone patient. Mainly someone who wants to listen to me practice and correct me.

In turn I can offer you my expertise in the 3 languages I can speak, no matter of your skill level.

We can keep it casual or we could totally be buddies. I game a lot, crazy about cars, adore cats and otherwise really funny and goofy guy ☺️

Hi! Everyone!

I'm Sienna, 28F from South Korea and looking for a language exchange partner and hopefully a good friend :-)

It'd be great if it were a female language exchange partner!

I'm a beginner in English. I can have simple conversations, but I'm still struggling with grammar, especially verb tenses and articles like "a" and "the." So please be patient with me..

I enjoy reading books, playing futsal, going to rock festivals, and watching baseball. It would be great to meet someone who shares similar interests!

I'm happy to help you with Korean, too. We can start by texting or have voice calls if you're comfortable. I'd love to find someone I can practice languages with and hopefully stay friends with for a long time!

Feel free to send me a message. Let's get to know each other!

Offering Mandarin Offering: Mandarin Chinese (Native) | Seeking: Russian

Привет всем!

My name is Jack, and I'm a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from China. I did my undergraduate degree in London, and I'm now doing my postgraduate studies in the US.

I've always been interested in Russian culture, especially its literature, music, and history. I'm a big fan of Russian music, particularly Виктор Цой and Любэ. I often put on Russian songs in the background while I'm doing other things. Most of the time, I have absolutely no idea what they're singing about, haha, but I really enjoy the music and the atmosphere.

I've actually tried learning Russian a few times before, but I always ended up giving up because I found the language so difficult. However, I recently read Pushkin's Eugene Onegin, and I was completely captivated by the beauty of this novel in verse. Although I really enjoyed the Chinese translation, I couldn't help feeling that something of the original poetry—its rhythm and subtlety—must inevitably be lost in translation.

That experience gave me a much stronger motivation to learn Russian properly this time. I've set myself a personal goal: one day, I want to be able to read Eugene Onegin in the original Russian and truly appreciate the beauty of Pushkin's language.

I've recently started learning Russian again using LingoDeer, and I'm currently around A1 level. I've picked up some basic grammar and vocabulary, but I haven't had many opportunities to actually practice listening and speaking. That's what I'd really like to improve!

In return, I'd be more than happy to help anyone who's learning Mandarin Chinese! Whether you're a beginner or already have some experience, I can help you with pronunciation, grammar, natural expressions, and everyday conversations. If we ever have trouble understanding each other or explaining something in Chinese or Russian, we can always switch to English, hahaha.

I think it would be wonderful if we could help each other improve our language skills while also sharing interesting things about our cultures and everyday lives.

If you're a native Russian speaker learning Chinese and this sounds interesting to you, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM!

Jack

Offering English Offering: English | Seeking: Korean

Hello,

I am 22M and am looking for language exchange partners, such as fluent Korean speakers also looking to practice English! I am Korean-American but only grew up speaking English, so I started learning Korean much later in life. I am at an intermediate level now and am looking to improve my skills all-around, particularly in speaking and listening though. I hope to be able to speak better Korean during the times I go back to Korea to visit family + friends.

I am a new-grad software engineer in the Bay Area (California) and also enjoy playing sports and some video games. Happy to talk about anything, or even play video games together :)

Please feel free to send me a message if you are interested! Thank you!
