Jimny 2023 Model, 4 Door, Automatic, India
Was taken to dealer with erratic shifting problems(used to make a lound clunk sound sometimes when shifting), dealer said gear oil was a bit low, topped it up, and now after i got back the car, it doesnt shift at all from 1st gear. Keeps revving to 6k rpm instead of shifting(but occasionally shifts).
What could be the issue, cause it seems like the dealer has no idea.
Need help.

Took my Jimny Sierra JB74 on a coastal drive from Ine to Maizuru, in Kyoto, Japan.
I filmed the trip with my DJI Osmo Pocket 4P and Osmo 360 II, and put together a short video with some of my favorite moments along the way.
It’s the same drive, but seen from three different perspectives:
🚙 CHASE VIEW — A third-person view showing the Jimny on the road, filmed with the Osmo 360 II.
🌐 360° VR VIEW — A full 360° version of the journey, so you can look around and take in the scenery for yourself.
🛣️ ROAD VIEW — A forward-facing view of the road and scenery, filmed with the Osmo Pocket 4P.
I’ve also uploaded the full versions to YouTube. I’ll leave the links in the comments for anyone who wants to see more.
I’m curious which view you prefer, and I’d love to hear any thoughts or suggestions on the footage. Always interesting to see how other people approach this kind of filming!
Hope you enjoy the drive!

Found a new place to put a camera! Not going to lie I had a hard time not watching the video feed while wheeling this beach. Between looking at axel clearance, to just watching the axle suspension doing its job. The Old Man Emu 50mm lift really did its job well.

purchased a brand new 2026 Jimny after years and years of owning Subaru's, the purchase came around when a mechanic blew the engine in my subbie. I am also very chuffed they are still coming in a manual transmission!
looking for suggestions on:
-flat roof rack or a basket
- thoughts / reflections on rooftop tents.
- and just any other suggestions you wanna throw my way would be greatly appreciated!
Can't wait to go on my first Jimny road trip!

This is also the law right?
Also I might sound over enthusiastic about this. It's not often a fellow JB43 flashes back. More often than not they dont notice or dont care. A lot of JB43 drivers (mostly old ladies) don't realize they're part of an elite club.

For context, I’m in Australia and I already have the Bilstein B6 extended shock absorbers. Have been using them with OEM springs for the past year. Originally wanted the ride stability and wasn’t sure if I would ever get a lift, but left the door open hence the choice at the time.
I’m now considering a proper 40mm lift and had a few questions I’m hoping someone can help clarify before I pull the trigger. To keep things simple and in line with my original choice for the shocks, I am looking at the Jimnystyle adventure kit and it looks like I need the following:
- 40mm H&R progressive springs
- Extended brake lines - 4 piece kit
- Castor correction bushes (I’m considering radius arms replacement instead)
- Headlight adjustment bracket
Is that all? I’m a little confused as I’ve read other things are required in some cases such as panhard relocation and crossmember kit but to be fair these were mostly referring to the OME kit. These were not mentioned on the Jimnystyle package so I’m assuming I would be fine without these / I’m assuming different kits have different requirements?
On using replacement radius arms instead of castor correction bushes, would I only need the front ones? Considering the Superior Engineering ones if anyone has any opinions on those or others I should be looking at. Was looking at HardRace as well but seems to be some negative reviews on those.
Thanks all

Hi, what's the name of the components enclosed in the image: the black plastic trims? After some search I got "fender flares" but I'm not sure. My native language is not English, so I need a bit of help with this one.

Hey everyone,
Just curious to know what spark plugs people are running with the JA11V 660c F6A Turbo engine.
Need to get mine changed soon. Been given some Denso XU22EPR-U by a friend but unsure if they’re actually suitable for the engine so thought I’d ask here. Would love to know the answer / know about any good alternatives. I’m UK based for reference. Thanks!

Hi folks,
I am considering replacing my original (6.5 year old) starter battery.
I am thinking an Optima YellowTop YT U-4.2 (55Ah).
It is slightly larger and may need a new tray?
Has anyone done this in a LHD JB74?
Any advice?

Anyone in AU know where to get good weather guards for the doors of a 25 5 door? I ask as the ones I keep seeing are purely sticker based and experience tells me these fall off (has occurred on my other car). So looking for a more reliable weather guard.
Thanks

This link has a video of a Thai swift owner who is removing the Suzuki S badge from the steering of his 2018 Swift.
I want to know if the same can be done on my Indian spec 2024 Jimny and if there could be any differences between Jimnies of other regions when doing so. If anyone else has done something like this in this community please help me out and let me know.
Thanks fellow Jimny-heads.

I’m trying to understand the heated-seat situation on the 5-door Jimny.
I’ve seen several YouTube reviews, especially from Russia and other export markets, showing 5-door Jimnys with heated front seats. Some dealers tell me heated seats are not available from factory, others say they can source cars with them, and one dealer even told me they are simply retrofitted.
So I’d like to hear from actual 5-door Jimny owners:
If possible, please post a photo of the heated-seat switches and mention your model year and market.
I’m specifically interested in the 5-door Jimny/Nomade, not the 3-door.
I’m getting completely contradictory information from dealers, so I’d really like to figure out what the actual factory specifications are.

In the next step of my Jimny's modification i had the interiors done today. It brightens up the dark black interiors and makes the car feel a bit more spacious visually.
Also it will be far easier to get my Beagle's hair out now. They were a pain to remove from the fabric seats.

I have only had my Land Venture for a couple of weeks. This green Jimny lives in my road and is a big part of me wanting a Jimny of my own. Finally got to park next to it today outside our gym and it made me very happy!

Ok, I've got an annoying hollow sounding rattle at low speeds. It's specifically and loudly coming from the left front side.
I took off the grill, bumper and inspected the indicators. It sounding plasticy... All of those were fine and in good shape. Drove around the block and the noise was still there.
Put them all back on nice and tight and the noise won't leave.
Any ideas where to look next? Anyone else get this noise?
I've driven off road a lot.
I've recently replaced the front brake pads.
I have Dobinsons lift kit, but have it over a year with no noises.
I'm thinking maybe a clip or pad is loose on the left brake caliper.
Front sway bar and suspension all looks and feels tight.
Any ideas are highly appreciated.
I daily a manual car, all Ive ever driven daily has been just MT, so Auto is very appealing but I wonder If itll fall short in the long term

Brand new automatic 3-door Jimny, still fully stock, wheels included. I know Jimnys are loud and are not supposed to constantly go fast but I noticed whenever I hit 2500 rpm in 4th gear, this unusually loud vibration comes from under the hood(?).
It goes away once I go over 3000rpm. So it only pops up between 2500-3000rpm. No matter what speed I’m going. I’ve been looking for days but have been unable to find anyone else that has brought it up. Wasn’t sure if I should take that as it’s normal or is there something wrong with my unit?
It happens on both 4wd/2wd, both OD on/off, on all tire pressures 26-29, cruise control on/off. We’ve tried everything but the vibrations are just there.
It isn’t very loud in the video but in person, the vibrations are VERY loud. First PMS scheduled in 2 weeks but worried something might give before then.
