This is for anyone missing oomph but not willing to pull the trigger on a turbo or supercharger setup. I went the naturally aspirated route and wanted to share how it turned out on my 2025 5-door MT.
Setup:
- AVO Turbo catless header
- AVO 2" front pipe (with cat)
- AVO 2" Comfort cat-back
- ECU remap on the stock ECU
To be clear:Ā there isĀ no turbo. Itās still naturally aspirated. AVO sells a turbo kit too, but I didnāt order it or their map. I contacted AVO Turbo Australia through their website, told them what I wanted, and they sent me a list of parts to order. Iām in the EU, so everything had to be shipped from Australia.

Road dyno with a GPS logger: 2nd gear wide open throttle pull from 2,000 rpm to cut off, then coast down to calculate driveline losses. Result is 126-131 hp and a consistent 160-161 Nm. Chart attached is from my lowest run.
I know this isnāt a proper dyno, so the numbers are indicative. We did several runs on a flat stretch in the same conditions and got consistent results. I didnāt do a baseline before the install, so I can only compare to the factory 102 hp / 130 Nm. Even if the real gain is closer to 20%, itās a noticeable difference I can feel every day on the road.
Itās not turbo-level power and it wonāt turn the Jimny into a fast car. But if what bothers you is that gutless feeling when you need to pass someone, this goes a long way for less money and some hassle.
Fuel economy after about 700 km looks similar as before, around 9.0-9.4 L/100 km. The setup still has a cat in the front pipe.
