i told the artist the characters specific tattoos were not mentioned or described apart from a mural on her back and gave them creative license but the tattoos dont make sense to me. something about her face also just feels uncanny and im stuck between it simply being the art style or ai.

I strongly suspect that the daily planner I buy every year now uses AI-generated images. They used to feature clearly hand-painted, charming but slightly amateurish paintings of animals. For 2027, however, the style has changed considerably, and the paintings look almost too perfect, with that tell-tale cartoonish, over-rendered AI look. The hedgehog almost looks like it's vibrating. The name of the painter is also no longer used on the cover. And the backflap text says "inspired by natuur paintings"...

I suspect they've either generated the images entirely with AI or used AI to turn photographs into paintings. But I'd like to get some confirmation from others.

Been looking at a few of them for my binder. At first, I thought a few of them looked nice but looking a bit closer I'm noticing telltale signs of AI. The company website does not mention AI, just 'designed in the UK'.

saw this picture at a cafe today that also sells prints. i’m very confident this ‘photo’ is either entirely AI generated or at least edited with it. My parents think it’s a normal photo and it would be crazy if they were selling AI pictures.

Hey all, I’m a huge fan of animal crossing and recently I had a discussion with my friend - she’s 100% sure it’s ai. Me? Not so sure. Yes it’s a cheap knock off from temu but is it ai?

INTRODUCTION:

Im an artist on instagram and follow and support small artists because they deserve their work to be seen!
HOWEVER I have a feeling that this artist is generating AI images, and then printing them to trace them over with pen. They have around 4K followers. (I covered their name and signature to protect their privacy)

I don’t want to support AI art, but at the same time I’m confused and I’m not sure if it is or not (that’s why I need your help).
I also wouldn’t want to stop supporting an artist thinking they use AI when they actually don’t.

WHAT MAKES ME THINK IT’S AI:

Image 1: as soon as I saw it, it really gave me AI vibes. The composition…idk, it looks AI-ish. The sign is super weird, and the confetti sometimes looks warped and weird. An artist would never choose to make them look like that in some specific spots.

Image 2: same drawing, zoomed on the sign. What the hell is that?? It looks like that standard AI font. Also the quality of the writing looks different from the parts in ink…as if they retraced the drawing with ink but then didn’t trace over the writing.

Image 3: The drawing feels like something AI would come up with, and also (idk if it’s something instagram does) but it literally says AI???

Image 4: Posted today and it’s what prompted me to make this post. I love and adore Jack Skellington and that is NOT how his bowtie looks. The rest is right, so I don’t feel like an artist would make the conscious choice of drawing it like that. I feel like the AI got confused and just gave him a normal tie, and a dress shirt(???) and then added the side-thingies to the jacket.

Image 5: this is a screenshot from a video they posted of them drawing with ink over what I think they’re passing out as a sketch…but if you look closely you can see it looks printed out. It has that halftone printing effect (yk, the dots)

Image 6: It again feels like AI…the texture is very weird.

I hate we even have to go through this…AI is taking away artist’s jobs and as an artist you really shouldn’t be using it…

If you could help me figure this out, I would be so grateful🫶

UPDATE (October 17)
I ended up texting them to ask them directly and kindly and they essentially answered me that their drawings are handmade by them using traditional ink and paper. They sometimes use Pinterest for inspiration when they experience art block. Although they occasionally use AI, it’s only to enhance photos of their artwork so they better reflect the original pieces, and to help write captions. They do not use AI to create the drawings themselves.

I don’t know if that’s believable

It was about time that I change my wallpaper to something autumn focused. This is so cute and reminds me of my husband and I but the general vibe, the typo, the umbrella placement and the house looks AI.

Person says its all human made, its their game, but why is the robot only similar and not the same robot? Why are colors missing? details missing, but strangely enough, now hw has details he doesnt have normally.

Hi guys. My dad has been watching one of this guys videos. Obviously it's like a ton of clickbait that takes 30 minutes to say something that could be said in 5 minutes. But is the person real? It just feels so uncanny. There's no tone shifts in his words.

I have a friend whose boyfriend is a racist and a gc was created. I’m so sure it sounds AI but my friends dont believe me because he didn’t capitalize some of the i’s in the apology. Is it AI?

The way the bear sat down looked off. The man’s right boot looked a little smaller than his left. And the whole situation on its own just seems unrealistic.

Edit: I understand bears can be friendly with humans when trained and cared for but that doesn’t explain the weird movements in the video. Maybe it’s just the low resolution. Given this guys reputation with bears, I also think it’ll be easier for him to fool people by using AI…sorry! Still skeptical.

My kids can glance at a picture and tell me it's AI right off the bat. I spent way too long staring at this picture yesterday before figuring it out. I think I'm hopeless.

I bought a colouring book and in this picture I was colouring the river, but then I got confused where the grass was and where the river went because I thought it was the continuation of river, but it looks like there's grass there in a red circle?

One of my favorite youtubers has just created new merch designs and I am highly skeptical that they are AI generated. I assume they are given the style and repeated of each design :(

Is there any justifying this as a creator? They are approaching middle age and it seems to me there is a generational gap with understanding the negatives of AI use.

Are these ai? At first I thought they were just commentary creators with their content being stolen and aggregated, but then I see accounts like that second one where every video literally looks the same. Some of these have to be ai, right?
