What's the best budget ipod, not including ipod shuffles

Well it happened sooner than I thought. Dropped my iPod and it went completely dead. Popped it open to find the double sided tape holding my flash adapter down had ripped out a piece from the logic board.

Hi all! I recently bought an Gen 2 iPod Mini with SD and a new battery. Last week, I dropped it, and it played fine the rest of the night, but the next morning it froze after playing for a while. Now, it turns on but displays the Apple logo for a few seconds and then www.apple.com/support/ipod with the folder icon.

I have an iFixit kit so I opened it up and disconnected / reconnected the only ribbon cable that I could access, which was between the SD and the battery. Sometimes when I plug it in it shows the charging icon, and it pops up the 'do not disconnect' when plugged into my Mac, but it does not show up in Finder, Music, or Disc Utility (I was able to easily and reliably sync music before the drop from Finder).

Is it likely a bad SD? I'm surprised that the SD would be damaged from a drop. I am new to all of this! Should I go ahead and replace the SD? Are there other things I can try first? Is it possible that something else is messed up and thath replacing the SD would be hopeless?

I got an iPod touch 2nd generation from eBay for $18.50 and it’s great. I love listening to music on here since it’s so easy to download songs and load them on. I use the Apple Devices app on my windows app but I also know you can use iTunes too :) It’s in really good condition and the battery lasts a long time.

I like taking notes for school on here since the notes app is simple and organized. It looks like pen writing on a notebook!

I think it’s great value for the price since it has a headphone jack so you can listen to songs with lossless audio. It has bluetooth but I don’t prefer to use it.

So i never have had my own Ipod before but now i wanted to have one problem is finding it in shops in my country is kinda difficult and when you find one it is wayyy expensive .. so i have this Iphone 4s with me which i wanna Jai***reak and turn into a Ipod , like no apps and function to be left on the phone except Music , if anyone here has done such thingg before help can be very very appreciated .

Meu iPod as vezes aparece essas linhas após desligar a tela. É somente nele, tenho outro do mesmo modelo mas não acontece isso. Isso é algum problema? E se for é grave?

OBS: Eu suspeito que a tela de um dos iPod não é original. Esse do vídeo nunca foi aberto e o meu outro iPod aparenta ter sido aberto, antes de eu possuir.

Eu noto uma diferença de tonalidade quando comparo ambos desligado. O do vídeo é meio esverdeado e a do outro é mais escuro.

Não sei se essa observação é útil, mas é bom deixar ela.

I have a 4th generation ipod nano and I decided to convert my Spotify playlist into mp3 files and put them on my ipod. Transferring the songs was fine but when I play them they only play for a minute.

Is there anything I can do to fix this

this is currently my only ipod btw 😭😭 idc tho its still an ipod

and in a few days it will mark one full year after rescuing this ipod from the thrift store which aligns perfectly

I am trying to replace battery of an old ipod nano 5th gen but I couldnt open its top. Hard glue is still very intact and I dont want to cause scratches or problems on the cover. I applied a bit heat but I was pretty scared about breaking something. Is it safe to apply blow dryer air about a few seconds to melt it or what can I do?

Just received my 6th gen iPod Nano and it has a bunch of cool music on it: Daft Punk, Gorillaz... like 900 songs and I'd like to transfer them to my PC. I read about the iPod_control folder trick, I don't mind having to rename files, but how is it done?

(No sketchy/freemium software pls. I can use Win11, OSX el capitan and Debian based Linux distros)

bought this and noticed the burnt component (upper left), idk what to do, ordered battery and headphone jack and noticed jus now , the volume was so low and thought might be an issue in the hold/jack, should I replace the logic board or leave this stuff atp, I can't put more money , at least for now.

I loved coming back to iPod, but I will never win the argument against my friends why I’m choosing this over Spotify.
