I noticed the soybean fields are really heavy with weeds here in excessively Red Nebraska. Those fields used to be "cleaned" before harvesting as beans stained with rapeseed are only good for animal feed, our previous Japanese buyers were picky on appearance. Well, legal and illegal migrant farm workers have left or gone into hiding with the ICE crackdown. Not as bad as you might think, though, Trump tariffs drove away the Chinese market permanently, and they are sourcing beans from Argentina and Brazil. With the destruction of our cattle industry, and smaller herds the demand for feed goes down.

Rapeseed isn’t a common plant in Nebraska. Nor is pokeweed, which might be what you’re thinking of. It’s common in some areas further east.

Pigweed and waterhemp don’t stain the beans, and fields haven’t been manually rogued on a widespread basis for decades.

I retired in 2002 and maybe somethings change. Still, as a proper Nebraskan I am not required by law to listen to any silly facts. We still have a cult following of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team despite being mediocre at best for years and wear our bright red caps with Go Big Red t shirts!

Well technically they are in the camps they built inside warehouses. Away from prying eyes. Similar situation to Nazi Germany. They keep the camps away from the general public population and don’t want information about what was going on inside them getting out.

They still have it good. Not one of those fat fucks getting interviewed is starving. They all drive $100,000 monster trucks and take three months of vacation a year while their immigrant workers making minimum wage without benefits are terrorized by the government as they wait to be replaced by the automation that the landowners can't wait to implement.
