We made it to Reddit News Top 10!
r/LeopardsAteMyFarm has officially broken into Reddit’s Top 10 News communities (#8 actually!) with more than 400,000 weekly active users.
That is an incredible milestone for a sub built around keeping an eye on the real-world consequences of policy, politics, and the choices people insist could never affect them personally.
To everyone who posts, comments, moderates, reports duplicates, adds context, brings receipts, and somehow still finds the perfect headline: thank you. The thoughtful discussion, dark humor, informed debate, and collective ability to spot a leopard-shaped problem before it reaches the farmhouse are what make this community special.
Growth brings more visibility... and more responsibility; let’s keep the standards that got us here:
- Keep submissions relevant and sourced.
- Read the rules before posting.
- Debate ideas without attacking each other.
- Report rule-breaking content rather than feeding it.
- Welcome new members, even if they have not yet encountered the leopards.
From a niche corner of Reddit to one of the platform’s most active News communities: 400,000+ people showed up this week because this conversation matters.
Thank you all for making r/LeopardsAteMyFarm what it is. Here’s to the next milestone! 🐆

New Rule: #8647: No TDS or low effort comments
The only folks that use "TDS" unironically are fervent Trump supporters and cultists. Trump(s) have been "deranged" for generations. The only deranged folks are those that voted for and support a felon (34 felony convictions), rapist, pedo, liar wife-beater, cheater, draft-dodging conman.
Violators will be banned for 34 days (one day for each of Trump's 34 felony convictions) upon the first offense, and permabanned upon a second offense.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!!! BYC100X

You don’t get to vote solid red at the ballot box and then rebrand as a purple cooperative the minute your inventory hits the market. Best of luck balancing the ledger with that newly discovered fence-sitting.
It turns out political affiliation is completely irrelevant the exact second you need consumers from every tax bracket to buy your ground beef. You can spend an entire election cycle voting for isolationist trade disruption, but suddenly when market reality sets in, everyone is expected to hold hands in a non-partisan circle and rescue the family balance sheet.

Cutting off paying customers to own the other side isn’t economics; it’s just paying retail rent for an ideological echo chamber.
Imagine bragging that your farm won’t take SNAP benefits as if turning away guaranteed revenue is a masterstroke in business strategy. Nothing screams "free-market mastery" quite like telling paying customers to walk over to Walmart while you sit on an unsold harvest to protect your feelings.
Direct-to-consumer agricultural programs actually thrive on SNAP/EBT integration; USDA initiatives like the Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program (GusNIP) match nutrition benefits at local farmers' markets, driving direct federal dollars straight into independent producers' pockets rather than multinational retail supply chains.

Discussion Rolling coal "farming equipment" emission deletes.
I always hated having to switch my cars HVAC setting to internal only, when I find myself behind one of these modified monstrosities. But now all I see is a large diesel toilet, flushing down good money from another bad decision grocery getter.
It's a schadenfreude smile, and I don't feel uncomfortable about the feeling.

Mississippi Farmer "I know a lot of very, very conservative farmers who are just done with all of this."
Watch the full episode @ The Bulwark Daily
Mississippi Farmer and Journalist, Wright Thompson, tells Tim Miller about the growing frustration among farmers in Mississippi, including lifelong conservatives who are questioning where they stand politically.
Many of these farmers have spent their lives believing Republicans were the party of capitalism, free markets, and economic opportunity. But now, with tariffs, government bailouts, rising costs, and uncertainty threatening their livelihoods, they’re questioning whether the Republican Party still represents those principles.
Some are so disillusioned that they don’t even know who to vote for anymore.

Y’all Had to Feel the Pain Yourselves… But Even After Ads Like This, I’ll Believe You’re Changed Once You Prove It In Nov.
Truckers are getting squeezed by high diesel prices, but the damage doesn’t stop with them. Farmers rely on trucks to transport their crops and livestock to processors. Those processors then depend on more trucks to deliver finished products to warehouses and grocery stores. Every step burns diesel, and every increase in fuel costs puts more pressure on farmers, businesses, and ultimately American families at the checkout line.
This is why global trade and basic economics matter. Trump’s trade policies and the economic consequences of war deserve serious scrutiny. When conflict disrupts global energy supplies and drives up fuel prices, the costs ripple through our entire food supply chain.
