All you can buffet that, outside of perhaps a few minor sides, serves nothing but hot dogs. Other than being cheap, the main draw of this place will be a venue for impromptu hot dog eating contests. They can even have stand up tables specifically for that.

Chili Dogs for the Soup Kitchen
Yesterday I led a team of volunteers at our local soup kitchen that supports the homeless in our town. Chili dogs has always been a popular meal. In order to provide a substantial meal, we used the Sam’s Club all beef quarter-pound hot dogs. For toppings, we had chili, cheese, chopped onions, caramelized onions, and sauerkraut available. The plate also included French fries and Coleslaw. The current target is to be ready to provide 180 servings. The Sam’s Club hot dogs are sold in packages of 12, so I purchased 16 packages, for a total of 192. (I always prefer to have some extra on hand just in case more dinner guests show up than what was anticipated). Between first and second helpings, we plated 175 servings. The remaining hot dogs that were left over were used by the team of volunteers.

Ketchup…yes or no
I’m a firm believer that ketchup has no place on a hot dog.
What do you all think?

I was inspired for this one.
It's only the small minds that can't appreciate the combination.

HolyDog, Middletown NY
The Polish Hawaiian. Caramelized pineapple, onions, peppers, stone ground mustard on a Kielbasa. I know, not a hotdog. But its the number 7 hotdog joint in the country. And so much fun to visit.
I always make it a point to hit the joint up whenever I come through

Who Invented the Hot Dog?
Before Nathan’s, there was Charles Feltman. One immigrant dreamer turned a Coney Island pushcart into a hot dog empire. See his larger-than-life true story at Orlando Family Stage’s Black Box Theatre on October 23; tickets at http://FeltmanWorldsFirstHotDog.com
