Discussion Nerf Ritual of Summoning.
They are not insta-nerfing Rituals because they’re part of the new expansion, which is a ridiculous rule. Let go of it, Blizzard, and give the people what they want!

Discussion I despise the new Journal.
This new Journal is literally the worst thing ever.
-The whole bottom bar looks like crap and doesn't fit the hearthstone aesthetic at all
-Why does it take multiple wasted seconds to open each time????
-There are tabs but sometimes the thing you're looking for is a button within a tab? (like the current ongoing event) WHY?
-I click through everything but there is still the exclamation mark that I didn't do something but I swear for the love of god I can't find it.
-The new chain quests are ridiculous in the book, take so long and for no reward at all.

Fluff Warlock cards are so good and effective it genuinely feels like im playing against a solo adventure boss

Played vs warlock every game before the expansion, then priest was good for 24 hours. And now back to playing vs warlock every game again. Dont get me wrong im glad they banned those cards. But the entire warlock class needs to be looked into man, like their cards are just so overtuned its not even close. fking hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby matchup if im not playing anything tier 1. Not to mention cursed chains and all the FUN hand disruptions, like why? WHY?? Why do we need these cards in the game?? im FORCED to play aggro bc if i try to play a slow deck they just gonna take away all my shit. Like i get why people would hate playing against priest, but i DONT get why people find this to be cool, genuinely. AM I TAKING CRAZY PILLS???

Discussion Make it stoppp
Imma take a break from this game, it makes no sense rn, i am stuck at Gold 5 rank, because everytime i get close to the next level the game throws 3/4 Warlocks back to back who win by turn 7, i have to draw a bloody Exodia combo just to survive let alone win.
Rn i am 7-6 against Warlock and it is not fun watching them summon 3/5 minions by turn 3, or probably have 4 of those assholes, then by turn 6 them dropping the legendary who by turn 7, makes them 8/11 or smth like that, or dropping the 1 drop C'thun on top, so when they are summoned they get another boost to stats.
And if that ain't enough they can choose just to summon a bounch of legendaries by turn 7, or just slam a 30+ hits on your head from C'thun alone by turn 8, oh orrr they can steal 2 cards from your hand, orrrr just steal 5 cards from your deck, because God knows poor Warlock is short on options rn.
Fix your f-ing game Blizzard.

Discussion I decoded the flavor texts of all four new Old Gods
So I was reading the abilities of Y'Shaarj to find a possible strategy and I looked at the flavor text. It's a coded message that requires other minions' flavor texts (and some letters moving around) and I then went to check the others. Weirdly enough, if you go in order
Y'Shaarj -> Yogg-Saron -> C'thun -> N'Zoth
you'll notice that the difficulty is increasing, with N'Zoth being kind of the final boss of this puzzle.
I'll spare you the details as it took me a solid two hours of decoding to get the four flavor texts.
Here they are:
Y'Shaarj, Titan Bane:
"Twenty stone giants were sent to slay Soggoth the Slitherer. Kronn, the greatest among them, was the only one to survive. As Kronn tended to his wounds, Y'Shaarj plotted its revenge. Therezane and Neptulon trapped Kronn between walls of jagged rock and crashing waves until all that remained of him was sand."
Mastermind Yogg-Saron:
"Though it would take many millennia to come to Fruition, Yogg-Saron successfully orchestrated Mimiron's death, but Yogg-Saron's plot did not account for Mimiron's ingenuity. Upon the destruction of his body, Mimiron's soul was moved to a dormant clockwork gnome. He then claimed the title "Mastermind.""
C'thun, Eye of the Empire:
"Amitut-was-the-keeper-charged-with-balancing-the-ambitions-of-the-other-titan-forged. C'Thun-realized-for-the-Black-Empire to-survive,-she-would-need-to-be-the-first-to-fall.-C'Thun-spawned-a-creature-with-one-purpose-in-mind-the-destruction-of-Amitut.-After-the-creature-accomplished-its-goal,-it-was-forgotten-until-the-Old-Gods-whispered-again."
N'Zoth, Dream's End:
"When-Freya-set-out-to-populate-Azeroth-with-life,-she-planted-the-first-tree,Fu-Zan.-Freya-fashioned-a-branch-of-Fu-Zan-into-a-walking-stick-and-traveled the world to purge the forests N'Zoth had corrupted. The walking stick was passed down to Yu'lon, the Monkey-King-and-an-adventuring-monk-that-mastered-their-spells-with-chi."
So we do indeed get a hint as to a possible Monk class according to N'Zoth's flavor text. And given it was the hardest to solve (or at least the longest in terms of steps to do), I feel confident in saying that we'll probably get the Monk class with the next expansion.
What do you guys think?
(For those interested, I added all the decoded pieces of text for specific cards on the hearthstone.wiki.gg pages of each respective card in the Trivia section)
EDIT:
When I posted this, it was around 3am my time and I was toot tired to explain how I got the four flavor texts together.
For Y'Shaarj, it was taking the cards mentioned in his flavor text (Gargantuan Slitherer + Kronn the Impaler + (Therazane the Earthmother - Neptulon, Lord of Tides)) and adding together their respective flavor texts in the order it's given. When it's a plus, you just concatenate the texts together. When it's a minus, you have to take the first minion's text and then use the letters from the second minion's text to remove each first letter you encounter and then switch to the next letter and so on.
For example: "Hrelsnleo" is the initial text and "rsne" is the removal sequence. The decoded text will give:
- Helsnleo - rsne
- Helnleo - rsne
- Helleo - rsne
- Hello - rsne
Second was Yogg.
We have a plus and two names but they are gibberish. Not quite. They are reversed. It gives us Tinker + Mimiron.
But the names are reversed so this means that the flavor texts are also reversed. So I just took each flavor text into a reverser and only then concatenated both. Doing the concatenation first will result in the message being decoded incorrectly as both halves won't be in their respective places.
Third was C'Thun.
Now we have divisions and multiplications.
The division means that you keep the first letter for every couple of letters you read. For the division by three, it meant keeping only the first letter for each three.
For example:
Ammoirt-ulto / 2 will give Ammoirt-ulto which gives us Amitut.
Dividing by three simply removes one extra letter after the first one.
As for the multiplication symbol, it means you have to take the flavor text and concatenate the same text right after the first one.
Example:
2*Hello would be HelloHello
Then you just use PEMDAS to solve the whole text.
And as I mentioned, there was an error in the order of letters in Amitut's flavor text, I'll refer you to the wiki page for her card for the whole explanation, as this post is long enough as it is.
Now for the final boss: N'Zoth
He was the trickiest one because he used all of the techniques I just described but also had an encoded text inside a decoded text. But following the principles above, you can decode his text in no time. Just beware of Efflorescence's text as it's that one that contains the encoded message in the decoded text, so one extra card to decode.

Discussion Question King Llane / Lore
Hey, I have a question for people who know warcraft lore. Do you know why Llane is illustrated as mean/mischievous on his artworks ? From the little I know he was considered a good king and truly was a victim of Garona no ? (through Guldan mental control)
It is supposed to illustrate the way Garona see him while under Guldan influence ?
