Hey guys no hamster is in there rn so don't go on bedding and all that , I want ya alll to help me with cage setup for a Syrian male hamster and I'm gonna use paper bedding . I would like ideas of how creative can I be with this cages enclosure the male hamster is not so active always he prefers hide outs a lot and also we get a wheel for him too , the only thing I don't have rn is the sprays if any alternative for it so do recommend . Also I'll be doing diy of hide outs maybe and I have some too already.

We’ve had our girl for 1 week and have been giving her lots of space and no handling while she settles in. Tonight we took her out of her enclosure for the first time to clean it. (She’s in a playpen my kid built from magnet tiles. Don’t worry, it’s only temporary until we buy something else). She explored around and then got really vocal and squeaky. Do these noises seem like she’s stressed? We are new to hamsters and still learning their body language. Thanks!

My hammy Bounty is about 4 months old. He has been destructive and rips his sprays and enrichment apart 😅. but recently has started biting the edge of his wheel.

at the moment there's no sharp edges or anything that will flake off when I touch it, but it's definitely more of a rough texture where he's bitten it.

I've considered getting a wooden wheel but he would only bite that too. and while ingesting wood is better than plastic, he pees on his wheel every night and I worry it would make the wood smell a lot.

he has lots of sprays, whimzees, a stuffed lotus pod, etc all in close proximity to his wheel. he also digs his tunnels happily and rips other things apart such as his cork mats and sea grass bits. any advice on how to prevent him biting the plastic though?

Just wanting some recommendations on sprays? I have never gotten them for my hamster before and want to try some out for him because i know theyre pretty good enrichment for them. Can i order them off of amazon or is that like, not good at all or trusted? Just wanting some recs, thank you!!🥰🐹

Bought him yesterday, he's 28 days old.
