Bad Haircut I got annoyed at my hair, so I hacked it off with trauma sheers.

So I was at work one day and I was just tired of my hair. It was dead. It would always tangle and knot straight after brushing, it was frizzy and just took forever to brush and de-shed, so I got my trauma sheers (very sharp strong scissors used to cut clothes and shoes off injured people). And hacked my hair off. I had an extra hair tie so I put it in to stop hair falling everywhere.

I always wear my hair in a ponytail anyway, so I'm not too fussed about how it looks when its down. But it only takes me 30 seconds to brush and throw back up in a pint tail now and i now get cool breezes on my neck.

Question Do these bangs flatter my face shape?

Post image

I’ve had bangs for a while now, but I’m experimenting a bit with different things. Dakota Johnson and Allison Brie are always my hair inspiration, and this time I wanted to try a bit shorter.. does this style suit my face and the rest of my hair? Could I try even a tiny bit shorter?

Help Why is my hair doing this and how can I stop/get rid of it??

Post image

In the last few months my hair has started doing this really weird thing where the hair below my ears becomes super big and frizzy and feels very dry. It only happens in this spot on each side of my face and the rest of my hair is completely normal and it drives me crazy. I have a mullet/shag haircut with lots of layers so those areas where it happens are shorter. For some background, I have stopped getting my hair bleached and switched to getting a tint (I’m naturally blonde, I only need a bit of lift) and all the hair below the frizzy spots has been bleached and is thin and straight and all the hair above has been tinted and is healthier and has a bit more texture so maybe that has something to do with it?? I hate the way it looks so much so if anyone has any idea on why this might be happening and what i can do to fix it, that would be greatly appreciated!

Help! We have been getting our son’s haircut at a few local “chain” locations, and it seems no matter what happens his hair always seems to collect into a sharp point. No matter how we comb it, it always ends up like this. What type of haircut should we ask for? Perhaps we need to take him to more of a barber shop. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

After years of having straight hair thanks to salon treatments, I finally accepted my curls and embraced them. It was the best decision I've ever made regarding my hair; I'm so happy with it now.

Help How to fix wavy hair getting frizzy?

Hi there everyone. First time poster I know literally nothing past shampoo and conditioner but I’d like to change that. My hair past a day or two without washing it always turns into this. I have very nice thick hair but it always goes crazy in the front end and I don’t really have an answer for it aside from just washing it (which is time consuming). What other things can I do to make it much more tame and maybe elevate my style? Also I live in Florida so humidity is a huge problem

Also sorry for the crime scene-esk face blurring I like my privacy lol

Question Question for the Hair Stylists

I've been to my current hair stylist a handful of times not and she's never asked me how I want my hair styled at the end of the visit. It's also not consistent how she does it each time. The last time I went, she curled it with a curling iron. I really didn't like how it looked and I also feel like my fine hair doesn't react well to heat curling like that.

Is it rude to ask her to just dry it with a round brush? How would you request this?

Question Do you think cutting your own hair is worth it and can be actually handled right

So I wanted to get a cut before going to uni, but based on my experience with hair stylists in my area it just feels like it might go wrong . Half of them if not all , always keep telling that long hair is good and stuff and generally never let me have my cut , I always end up changing my mind because of them ,and hear me out this not about opinions . this about girls should have long hair and boys should have short hair type of thing ,and they think you will have to grow your hair our but that's not actually what I want . So I've grown out my hair for real and will make sure to take care of it more and actually look out for what suits me / what I want and how I need to care for my hair after and before to do it . I'm planning to get a shaggy short hair cut . I never really tried short hair before but I want to . Half of the stylists are also un experienced like they might know what you want but never actually do it ,so I'm genuinely thinking of taking matters into my own hands. What do you guys think ? I don't wanna ruin my hair before uni but if my hair is gonna be ruined any ways might as well try to get what I want

Help Beginner trying to dye my stubborn grays at home — where do I start?

I’m hoping to start coloring my hair at home and could really use some advice from people who know what they’re doing! My hair is currently dark brown and falls to my shoulders. It’s naturally straight, with thick strands, and is color-treated from getting my roots done professionally every 5 weeks to cover grays. Overall, it’s in pretty good condition, but I want to avoid damaging it or ending up with a weird, uneven color.

My goal is a rich, natural-looking dark brown that will cover the grays scattered all over my head. I also have one particularly stubborn patch of white hair that never seems to cooperate, so I’m worried about getting consistent coverage.

I’m a total beginner with at-home dye and don’t really know where to start. What products and specific shades would you recommend for reliable gray coverage? Should I use permanent dye, and how should I prep and apply it, especially around the white patch?

I’d also love to know how to avoid hot roots, patchiness, or accidentally making my hair too dark. What would you do for a first attempt?
