Funk n' Friends
Some live improv over Chameleon by Herbie Hancock at a jam put on by the inimitable u/groove_mountains My aunt popped in and snapped a video which was a lucky break for me.
Enjoy!

I posted this on insta and received a couple of hate comments but with no explanation as to what was being hated on. The tone, phrasing, note choices, song selection etc etc. Can someone point me to the right direction of what I should look at primarily?

4 finger flamenco tremolo (PIAMI)
I’ve never seen anyone play it like this, but this is my favourite version! I prefer tremolo to the traditional arpeggio version, however, I feel that the standard 3 finger PAMI tremolo is not rich enough. I added an extra finger in there to increase the density of the trilling without making the piece itself faster.
What do you guys think? Any criticism will be taken as gold, since I otherwise never receive criticism on my playing; I am self taught. As well, any comments in general would be appreciated.
What do you guys think of the 4 finger tremolo? Do you think the original arpeggiated version sounds better?

I picked up my guitar between 7-9 months ago and can do this now after consistent practice. Dude, I’m stoked

Hello… this may be a stupid question but just out of interest…
Why does a right handed person (and vice versa) use their dominant hand to pluck the strings while what is theoretically their less dexterous hand works the frets, chords etc….
It would seem that the dominant hand would do the more intricate work, but it seems completly natural the “usual” way round?

Hello! 👋 I made a guitar tuner for my own use and ended up sharing it. It works in any browser (phone included), for guitar, bass and ukulele, and it shows the other strings too so you can tune the whole instrument without switching screens: no app, no install. 🎸
It's open source and still young, so I'd love your feedback: which instrument, which phone, does it read your low strings correctly?
