Friendly reminder

Just a friendly reminder that now it’s well and truly freezing out, and various flus, colds (and covid) are kicking about, can those who use the bus and train please be mindful to cover your mouth when you cough - bare minimum - or, if you’re feeling altruistic, wear a mask if you’re ill to avoid spreading to your fellow man.

The bus home yesterday and to work this morning was a cacophony of open mouth coughing, there are people around you who are immunocompromised or live with those who are, and we can’t afford to get sick ourselves (speaking as someone who’s the sole earner) and miss work or spread to others who will be well and truly fucked if they catch what you have.

On a not so friendly note, to the ginger cunt on the 7A this morning who was somehow chewing the chewiest food before 7am that it meant you couldn’t eat with your mouth closed - 1. You’re nasty and 2. Learn some basic fucking manners, I shouldn’t be able to hear your disgusting mouth noises at the opposite end of the bus

Thank you for coming to my ted talk

News Seewoo building

Hey everyone, happy Friday!

Just noticed the doors open and the lights on in the old Seewoo. A few guys having a look around it, I noticed all the old shelving and units are still there. Wonder if plans to reopen as a new business? 🤞

What train route is this?

Occasionally see a train going over this bridge (beside the Brazen Head). Unfortunately wasn’t able to catch it up close. Only curious because I dont see it often used like other routes in the city.

Anyone know if the Botanics are still open during the Glasglow set up during the day? Got some folks visiting and would love to show them the place if we can still get in there in the morning

Traffic in/around Glasgow this week

Am I going genuinely insane with the cold weather coming in? Or have ALL roads in/around Glasgow been absolutely chock-a, queues everywhere even at 7pm like it’s still 5pm. I’m genuinely losing my mind!! What was previously a 40 minute drive from Pollok to town has been taking 56 minutes, crawling the entirety of the M77. Everywhere is absolutely gridlocked all day.

Thoughts? Not seen if there’s been any particular roadworks causing this

Albert Drive

Are the council still planning the changes to Albert Drive they announced a couple years back or have they been shelved? Feel as though they're sorely needed

George Square Lighting

Someone the other day was saying that George Square redevelopment was rubbish because they hadn't prepared it for being used for concerts.

Looking at this, are these permanent lighting fixtures? Looks like there's a bunch of connection points around the square and seems pretty decent!

Photos Could someone in Glasgow take a few photos of my photograph at The Glasgow Gallery of Photography?

Hi everyone,

I'm a photographer from Delhi, India, and one of my photographs, titled 'Mystic', has been selected for the Open Exhibition 2026 at The Glasgow Gallery of Photography. The exhibition runs until 31 October.

Unfortunately, I can't travel to Glasgow to see it in person, so I was wondering if anyone local might be visiting the gallery and would be willing to take a few photos of my work on display.

I'd really appreciate a couple of pictures showing the photograph hanging in the gallery, ideally one showing the image itself and another showing it in the context of the exhibition. It would mean a lot to me to have these memories of my first exhibition in Glasgow.

And here's the exhibition page, with information about the exhibition: https://www.glasgowgalleryofphotography.com/exhibitions2026/open

I completely understand if nobody is able to help, but if you're planning to visit anyway and have a moment to spare, I'd be very grateful.

Thank you!

Sandyford vasectomy experience

I've recently put myself on the waiting list for a vasectomy at the Sandyford. Has anyone else had this done there? I'm interested to find out exactly what the procedure/day is like.

hidden spots in glasgow?

hi all! simply making this post because ive been bored and sad and i need some new places to explore. everytime i look places up around glasgow it gives me the generic response of botanic garden, kelvingrove park & art galleries which i know like the back of my hand.

i just want to know if there’s any really nice spots to sit, parks to explore, even things i could do with my friends/partner that isnt a boring ass restaurant. im so bored!!!! im very young and not a fan of drinking at all so its hard out here!!!

ive rarely been in the southside im more westend/city centre based so im open to places there too.

i love creative things , like pottery painting which ive done a few times and im also aware of a splatter art studio which is right up my street. so if theres any more fun things along those lines leave a comment :]

The proposed upgrades are fully protected cycle lanes, improved pedestrian crossings, accessible footways, enhanced public spaces, new planting, and sustainable drainage.

Queen's Cross Housing

Been with them for years and thought they were excellent up untill a few years ago.

They dealt with the anti social behaviour complaint that I reluctantly made back in 2012 very well and got it sorted.

Unforrunately the last 2 years have been a living hell and they appear to just not give a flying fuck.

I've spoken to a few people. One guy ended up buying a flat with his savings . They appear to be getting extra money to house people with problems but it seems to be in concentrated areas and it's fucking horrendous.

Anyone in a similar position with Queen's Cross or any other housing assocuarion?

I've bee through complaints procedures multiple times and it's a maze.
