Hey everyone! I've recently built a geography quiz game called MapQuiz, where you can test your knowledge of countries, capitals, flags, and currencies.

I made a web version too, so you can play directly in your browser without downloading anything.

I'm still working on improving the game, and I'd really appreciate it if some geography enthusiasts could give it a try and share their honest feedback!

In this differently-scored challenge, congratulations to both Storm and Vik for top spot (4 points, 17 yards) and to both moonradio and Ruffinnen for coming second (3 points, 19 yards). Congratulations to ALL FOUR(!) of Lyloor, Gronoob, UpliftingBridge988 and Storm who ALL came first (3 points, 12 yards), and to ALL THREE of EniJ, Chbigelow and LaDecadence who ALL came second (2 points, 13 yards), in what is the highest scoring challenge we've had so far. Today's is a tough one. I'm away till Friday night (watching my team Crystal Palace play at Lyon) so this contest will be minimum three days (again). Because some of them are really hard, you can afford to totally screw up one of the rounds and still get points. If you 5K four rounds, you get 1 point; if you 5K all five rounds you get 2 points, with 3 points for second place and 4 points for the winner. R3 is definitely the hardest and the one I imagine some players may forfeit. But R5 is a bit of a stinker as well! But as always: take your time; there's no extra points for doing it quickly.

Each day there will be a set of 3 challenge links, one for each game mode (Move, NM, NMPZ). There will be a world map, region map, and country map. Each day the map and game mode will rotate. Moving modes will be 3 min, NM will be 1 min, and NMPZ will be 30 sec, unless noted otherwise. On the weekend, I will post more unique/challenging maps. For each challenge link, 1st place is worth 5 points, 2nd place is worth 3 points, and 3rd place is worth 1 point. In the case of a tie, the tie will be settled by distance and then time. 5ks will also be tracked separately and are worth 1 point in moving, 3 points in NM, and 5 points in NMPZ. Updated scoring tables are posted after each week. No external assistance allowed. If you wish to talk about any of the rounds or locations in the comments, feel free to do so with a spoiler tag.
