AI character breaks; starts screaming

• Upvotes

As you may have seen, the game "Teach my sister how to drive" was recently in the news stating the dev had to take loans out to pay for AI tokens.

Well, I saw this gem where this guy completely breaks the AI and the AI starts screaming using text to voice: https://youtu.be/XR4IZ8jK7Xw

Skip to 6 mins when he starts asking it to speak in binary

Can I play old COD games on PC with a PS5 controller (or any controller)?

Hey so, admittedly, I’m not very tech savvy and don’t know whether or not this will work. But I’ve been wanting to play the older COD games on PC for some time now.

By older COD games, I’m talking about those in the WW2 era, including World at War and others before it.

Can I play those on PC with a PS5 controller? Or am I stuck with mouse and keyboard?

Still remember the hundreds of hours I put in replaying BG3 and RDR2 just to get those 100%. It was actually a horrible experience tbh but the impulse pushed me through the grind over the course of a few months. Luckily I had holidays to spend doing stupid shit like this. Any other masochist out there who just had to go all the way to satisfy this sadistic itch?

I just bought a seagate HHD game drive for Xbox and I’m having regrets

I have an Xbox series s 500gb and was trying to expand the storage with hopes of being able to handle the 300gb+ that the new fable game will take up but the seagate game drive won’t let you play series s games from the drive. It’s not properly advertised and they sell it with a 1 month game pass. I don’t know if this is actually a good way to use the system. The price between a 2tb HDD for $139 to an inserted drive at 199 for 1tb I don’t know if I should return the game drive and I’m looking for suggestions.

Haven't seen one of these since I was inside a McDonald's years ago but those had N64s inside of them.

I'm genuinely surprised Rewindead isn't getting more attention. It is a brilliant concept.

I don't normally post but I feel compelled since the concept of this game is genuinely quite cool. It's like a speed runners dream. (The fella at the top of the leader board posts all his stuff online and it freaks me out how it is even possible)

Lad you're a hitman who is looping in time. You start by killing a VIP, which sends you back in time. Now you need to take out yourself and the VIP. This repeats until you've finished every loop on the level. It's pretty simple at first, but the more loop they add, the wilder it gets. It's basically a puzzle shooter game at the end of the day.

There is a whole ranking system, which forces you to actually play fast. It's pretty sneaky on how it baits you into optimising everything. You start thinking....

"NO I can't settle for a C! I am beyond a mere C! I will become number 1"

but the faster you play, the harder the game gets (The past versions of you turn into a bit of a menace) I spent way too long trying to find the perfect run, just to find out some guy online to show me something I couldn't even imagine.

TLDR: Gud Gam, Fun Gam, Try Demo

What are some bad or mediocre games that become amazing with a mod or mods?

I was just thinking about long war for x-com(though the base game is already great) and it made me curious if there are any games out there that are bad on their own but saved and turned great due to a mod that changes it for the better. I was thinking more so about large expansion mods but any example would be nice.

Just recently played God of War 3 after getting into the OG Greek God of War games since I was a fan of the new Norse God of War duology, and holy moly is this one of the best video game intro sequences I've ever seen.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 still worth playing in 2026?

I've been thinking about finally diving into Cyberpunk 2077, especially since the upcoming movie/project has really given me the itch to play the game. But since it's 2026, I wanted to see what the general consensus is nowadays.
With all the updates, patches, and the Phantom Liberty expansion, how does the game hold up today? Is it in a really good spot on current-gen hardware, or are there still major issues I should know about?
For context, I'm planning to play on a standard PS5. No spoilers please, just looking for honest opinions on the current state of the game and whether it's worth starting now!

One thing that baffles me...

People who name an upcoming game as their GOTY... despite the fact it has not come out yet and therefore they have not played it. So how the frig would they know the game is even gonna be good enough for that qualification? I just don't understand it. I don't know about you guys, but I like to wait until I play a game before making a verdict on it.

I haven't played Far Cry 5 in years but I still listen to the soundtrack (by Dan Romer). What's your favourite soundtrack from a game?

I think the Far Cry 5 soundtrack is worth a listen even if you have never played the game. Dan Romer is probably better known for his TV and movie work but to me he's the Far Cry guy. It's the only game where I actually enjoyed waiting at the main menu & the loading screens and it was because of the music.

Edit: Thanks, looks like I've got a reason to check out some games I've never played before

Do you see Metacritic and Opencritic respective top 1 games getting dethroned?

Metacritic and Gamerankings got created around the same time in 1999...and since it's inception, a single game was always top 1 in Metacritic, Ocarina of Time, which to this day, keeps that spot...almost 20 years later

Gamerankings used to be like that too, but a game actually got to dethrone Ocarina of Time for top 1, being Mario Galaxy in 2007 (almost 10 years after Ocarina of Time), and stayed top 1 until Gamerankings closure in 2019 (merging with Metacritic), keeping the record for over 10 years and now it's part of the legacy of it as well.

A new aggregation site was created in 2015 though, being Opencritic, more focused on modern games.

For once, Nintendo wasn't at the top, as GTA 4 was found rulling as top 1...but that changed a measly two years later, cause Breath of the Wild claimed top 1...then Mario Odyssey, keeping it nowdays almost 10 years later.

All of the Nintendo games mentioned here have something in common...they've been resurfacing...with Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 coming to Switch (with a Switch 2 update), Breath of the Wild (with Tears of the Kingdom) getting a Switch 2 Edition, Donkey Kong Bananza having Odyssey all over it's DNA, and Ocarina of Time remake.

Yet despite this, Ocarina of Time keeps rulling Metacritic and Super Mario Odyssey keeps rulling Opencritic.

Something interesting happens...Ocarina of Time remake shares it's release month with GTA 6, only two weeks apart. As I mentioned before, GTA 4 used to rule Opencritic, so if any company can contest Nintendo for top 1, that's Rockstar. Which game do you think will score better? And more importantly, will they claim top 1?

what happened to motion controls?

I remember when they were all the rage with products like the Nintendo Wii, Xbox Kinect, and Playstation Move, and then the concept was quietly abandoned and forgotten about, as if it never existed.

What's your favorite challenge run to make an older game you've beat a bunch interesting?

I'm a systems administrator (IT), so we spend a lot of time just sitting around making sure nothing breaks, think Gordon from IT Crowd but we do know what the lights mean.

In order to not die of boredom, I play games on my switch (and am on reddit). I've started installing older games on it and decided I would do "challenge" runs where I impose a restriction on myself.

Right now I've got two:

Pokemon LeafGreen: Only bug pokemon. I did have to cheat on this and get a Rhydon because you literally cannot beat your rival once they get a Pidgeot and Charizard with just bug Pokémon.

Final Fantasy VII: Only Magic & Limit Breaks. No Attack or Summons
