Hi all! After lurking here for a while, I’m finally sharing my first post. You’ve all been a big inspiration.

Shot these on a 28°F morning while camping. A few trees had already gone bare, but I liked seeing them mixed in with the foliage. Kodak Portra 160 recipe, with post-processing in Lightroom.

Anyone else using vintage lenses? If so, what’s your favorite?

I like how manual focus lenses force me to be more intentional.

Discussion X100VI VS X-M5

So I had the Fujifilm x-m5 for 1 1/2 years and I do enjoy the camera a lot (mostly using a TTartisian 27mm 2.8 lens). Though my socials always showed me the X100VI so now I’m looking at that camera obviously. Next month I’m in Japan so the opportunity to buy one is there. Though I’m not sure if I need it?

Is there someone who had the x-m5 and got the x100vi and can tell me if they think it’s worth it?

I know it has double the MP etc., but I’m just not sure if it’s more worth buying a better lens or switching camera entirely?

I’m shooting mostly pictures like these:

Thanks in advance for anyone letting me know their thoughts :)

Spent a wonderful week at New York with my X100VI. All images are straight out of camera, a few are cropped. I use Reala Ace and a 1/4 mist filter.

Been messing around with creating my own Classic Neg recipe and am pretty happy with it now! I will say the recipe is heavily inspired by the ā€œLast Summer Rollā€ recipe by Emanuele De Luca but has had a few settings tweaked to make it a little more versatile in my opinion. I like to call it ā€œCado Negā€ (my nickname is Cado). Recipe settings on 3rd slide.

Their filters literally doubled in price overnight?? Reached out to let them know, I thought it was a mistake on their website that a magnetic filter would go from $99 to $199 overnight for a 52mm thread size glass and they confirmed the jump was real and firm lmao there goes my business with them. Anyone have nice looking alternatives — lmk. Not afraid of paying more for quality but they’re pricing these filters like lenses and I’m not down for that.

Photo - Post-Processed Morning fog

Drove past this on the way home this morning. I got home, grabbed the camera, then drove back to snap this eerily peaceful fog rolling through the cemetery. Just a down n' dirty jpeg. Dialed up the contrast a smidge to make the dark facings of the markers cut through the fog and stop the sunbeams with some intensity.

We hiked the Fisherman's Trail in Portugal for eight days. I highly recommend it, but you should be physically fit. It was really hard, but worth it. The Portuguese Atlantic coast is simply stunning!

Trying to figure out my new XS-20. I want to practice using a camera more often and bring it on more adventures.

Any advice welcome! šŸ¤—
