Applied ED to FSU, worried about party culture and the environment. Looking for honest opinions!
Hi everyone! I'm currently a high school senior and recently visited FSU. I really enjoyed the campus, learned a lot from the tour, and I've always wanted to live in Florida. Because of that, I've decided to apply Early Decision to FSU as a Marketing major.
I'm not sure if I'll get in, but if I do, I'd be both excited and nervous. One thing that concerns me is FSU's reputation as a party school. I'm definitely not someone who's interested in partying or drinking, and as a girl, hearing stories like the recent Cornell incident has made me afraid of joining fraternity and sorority culture.
I have so many questions (feel free to answer whichever ones you want):
- If you're involved in a fraternity or sorority, what has your experience been like? What are the best and worst parts?
- Is parking really that bad? I am planning to get a motorcycle, so I was wondering if that's a good idea or not.
- How is the business program, especially for Marketing majors? Do you feel supported and included?
- If you're on the Varsity or JV Sales Team, what is that experience like?
- In general, how welcoming and inclusive are students at FSU? Have your roommates and dorm communities been friendly?
- Is it easy to find vegetarian food on campus?
- As a female student, do you feel safe on campus and around Tallahassee?
- Is there any drama or bullying?
I'd really appreciate any honest advice or experiences, whether positive or negative. Thank you so much! :)
